The accommodations and the staff were amazing. All staff members were very helpful in directing my friends and I to the "hot spots" in town. The variety and quality of food in the multiple restaurants within the hotel were excellent. I highly recommend staying here.

Staying at the Intercontinental in SPS has both good a bad things. Good: Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed and room, the food is ok.
Bad: If you are in the Executive Floor (8th), it takes between 10 to 15 minutes for the hot water to start coming out after you turn the faucet open.
If you pay the extra cost of the Executive Floor, you are doomed to have your breakfast there and the choices are extremely limited. Basically, every day the same scrambled eggs and beans. No healthy choices for the truly healthy nutrition oriented traveler. And I don't mean fruits, they are full of fructose. I mean vegetables, low-fat milk and yogurt, multi-gran bread, etc. What I had to do each morning was to go to the main restaurant in the first floor and pay the cost of a regular buffet, then I could have a veggie egg whites omelette.
The hotel should let those who pay the more expensive Executive Floor decide whether they want to have their breakfast there or in the first floor, but always free of additional charge.
Another bad thing, the gym leaves so much to be desired. Calling it a gym is actually an exaggeration.

Another good experience at Intecontinental hotel, just one thing to improve noise on third floor is not proper after 1am this situation must be corrected due to party at Nau lounge escale to upper floors, meals without comparison all the time is good to visit this place

1) The swimming pool closed on Saturday for a private affair. People stay at this hotel to use the pool on the weekends. It was suppose to open on Sunday morning at 9 am. It did not open until after 1 PM. 2) The hotel had no bananas for breakfast for 4 days. They were out of stock. In Honduras? 3) The food provided for Ambassador Club was very low quality. Stale bagel with slight cream sceese and I think a smal piece of smked salmon. Chicken thigh pieces rather than chicken breast pieces in a mixture of peppers and onions and some sauce. Quiche that was dry and so thin it was mostly crust and nothing else. Beef on a stick that was dry and had no flavor. IT was brought to the Chef;s attention and he said it was fine and they should be happy with it.
4) I always liked this Hotel. It was a bad week and needs to improve.

Main restaurant have air conditioning g not working And this is terrible for Honduras weather. Even I asked several times to management to turn it on I never got it.
I have a claim due to sheets cleaning and send to management.
I feel a little disappointed from you after being a long time customer at this place.
Not sure to come back in next trip, I should try new hotels in San Pedro.

I've stayed at this hotel several times and each time I am thoroughly satisfied! The staff is so kind, hospitable and offer quality customer service. The hotel is beautiful, safe, clean and comfortable. They have all the amenities you could want or need. And the food is fantastic! I hope to always stay at this hotel when I visit Honduras!!

Above all the service is the strongest point of this hotel.
This does not mean that the rest is not up to a 5 star hotel.
The food has much improved since my last visit in November 2013. However the lounge could get more refined food between 6 and 8 pm.

Spent three nights there for business and was not impressed at all. Staff were very direct and short. No valet, horrible parking situation, no bellboy there to help with bags even though there were like ten employees sitting outside. Food was average and so was the room. They had parties going on during my stay that lasted well past midnight and I could hear everything in my room on the second floor. I had a much better experience at the Intercontinental in Tegucigalpa.
