Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Losing IHG standards Intercontinental San Pedro Sula is losing IHG standards to become a normal hotel property. I am a Platinum member and had to check in at regular counter after a wait, was given a room with AC not working, no bottle of water provided. The staff takes endless time to process bills inspite of prior intimation. The bath and basin fittings have water leakage all the time. This Hotel needs big time overhauling. 04 November 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mr. almost Everything was perfect except one situation that took place on Sunday about 2.30 am the girls were staying on the 6th floor, they were drunk and were using obcene language towards me and my roommate you sholud be more careful about the kind of people you let stay there, I notified this situation to the front desk but they were unable to give a answer. 09 October 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by First Class without the Price Tag of First Class This hotel is really top notch. The people are friendly and helpful. The food is exceptional and low cost. There is any service you can think of available from the hotel. Great restaurants, large conference rooms and located in a very safe area of town. I was pleasantly surprised to get this nice of a room at the cost they quote. 23 September 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not like other Intercontinental hotels The staff was friendly however we found following inconveniences with this hotel: 1. Rooms are not sound proof. 2. Housekeeping starts cleaning very early without any care about the noise they make. 3. Linen smells bad. 4. Executive floor has no A/C, poor staff service and just few food options. 5. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location, Comfortable rooms - Great staff I stayed a weekend at the IC San Pedro and was glad to see they remodeled the pool area, was there 2 years ago and now look much more pretty, love the Factory restaurant, Staff was very awake and polite, special mention for Miguel and Stefania at the club floor are great people and always have a smile on their face, Internet has a great speed so that was great causer I use 5mb at my house and any less just doesnt cut it they have triple my speed so happy with that, overall great expirience. 16 August 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Food There were better varieties in the salad bar in the past, I noticed that the food served in the lounge at 6:00pm consists mostly of sandwiches and 2 hot dishes. Imagination is lacking in the kitchen. I stay in many Intercontinental all over the world and the one in SPS ranks low in the food category. 04 July 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by DESAPOINTMENT I stayed at this property innumerable times in the last few years, and for the first time I have my doubts if I will stay there again. For sure I will not be there with the kind of service I receive at the reception at my check in time. If wasn't for my co-worker I would have turned around and look for an alternative lodging service. The "kid" at the reception made me feel angry with her remarks towards my request for an upgrade. I have been to IHG hotels in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Peru, Brasil, Canada, several places in the US, and in Manila (Philippines). I always have been given upgrades when conditions are favorable (times when I check in as Platinum Priority Club member). At least, I always have been invited to use the executive lounge. This time the attendant not only refused to even look into it, but said that I do not qualify by literally comparing my level of expenses with other guests and by saying that other guests pay more then I pay and are happy with it. I felt unwanted, harassed and ignored. Her attitude and demeanor was very negative. I arrived happy for being at the end of 7 hours road trip only to hit a cold and indifferent treatment. I checked in between 8:30 and 9:00 pm of Saturday July 22nd 2012 and this unprofessional attendant was the only one at the counter at the time. 02 July 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Memorable stay with very hospitable staff I recently spent 6 nights here and despite the not so great weather due to rain my stay was memorable. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The hotel seemed to have been recently renovated because it looked so immaculate and had a refreshing look. My room was very comfortable temperature wise and the bed resulted in plenty of good sleep. The 2 restaurants at the hotel provided plenty of good edible choices. I tip my hat off to the wonderful staff and hope to visit soon. 02 July 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by public areas & fitness center A treadmill was in poor working condition and I advised staff . It was fixed the next day ! All public areas continue to be too warm and indeed stuffy. I am in other service providers ...other hotels, restaurants , etc . thru out SPS and everyone else has cooler temperatures ?! When you come in from outside or come from a shower in your room the hallways, lobby, restaurants, bar and especially the fitness center are very warn . it has been that way for years so not hopeful for any.change . 28 May 2013

You have an excellent group of people working for your hotel. The only thing I was not happy with was the bathroom door will hit toilet seat if I didnt open carefully, no big deal hopefully I will get better room next time. Thank you. 20 May 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good Overall The hotel its very good and the rooms are very comfortable as you'd expect from an Intercontinental Hotel. The only flaws that I see is that on the mornings when they were looking and calling for guests (personnel), you'd hear everything from the room, the room does not have good sound proof walls against other rooms that are near. Also the gym had problems, there were 3 treadmills and only 1 worked properly. We had to be waiting there in order to use them as other guests were using them too. 17 April 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by just two issues The public areas[lobby, restaurant, bar ] are always too hot . Just dead air, stuffy .Stopped staying there years ago because of it and still the same. The wi fi is annoying for use with phones . it constantly kicks you off and then 4 steps to get back on each time . In this day and age not sure wi fi should be a profit center. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service with a smile I visit frequently because my husband is currently in Honduras and I have always found the service and accommodations to be excellent and the food varied and very good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Pedro Sula. The pricing is more than fair for the services provided, from rooms to suites to the spa! The only criticism I would have is that the bathrooms are so small. 22 February 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonder room We were side tracked to this hotel after not being able to land in Roaran due to weather. I was so tired after a long day at the airport. We arrived and were assigned a very nice room. The bed was excellent and I usually sleep on a sleep number bed at home. I loved the food and the staff were so kind and helpful. From what other passengers on our plane experienced, we had the best hotel. I would recommend this hotel very highly! 27 January 2013

Stayed one night at this Intercontinental using my Priority Award points. 1) NO bottle opener in mini bar or bathroom wall- hassle 2) Elevator shut down with me in it.- scary 3) DVD Alarm Clock was busted and still in room. 4) Checkout was abysmal: slow, inefficient and I believe I was charged twice for the whole ordeal. 5) Came home and seems as if another Priority Club number was issued for me? Is that thru the hotel staff? 6) TV needed to be reprogrammed each time it was turned on...thats alot of channels to get through before you can watch. And where's the channel guide in the room? - poor Straighten up that front desk please. Good note: Concierge helped me with cancelled flights and phone calls. 03 December 2012
