Primero los salvadoreños en general son muy amables, en este hotel se verifica el dicho. Gente profesional y siempre con la sonrisa.
Segundo, para nosotros los viajeros frecuentes es de suma importancia que el desayuno este listo en la hora anunciada. Aqui a las 6:00 AM todo estaba listo y pudimos salir a la hora prevista: excelente experiencia.
Recomiendo a este hotel
Gracias al personal por su profesionalismo, calidad que falta mucho en America Latina.

Mantuvieron el hotel sin agua en los servicios sanitarios durante 45mins, "sin previo aviso a los huespedes", al reestablecer el servicio de agua l amisma estuvo saliendo con olor desagradable y color café durante aproximadamente 30 mins más... Esto ocasionó que perdiera reuniones de trabajo por el retraso. Dí aviso de inmediato del probelma sin obtener solución. Solicité hablar con la Gerente y entregué a ella misma un amuestra de la calidad de agua que estaba saliendo. No obtuve una solución ni retribución relacionada con la pésima experiencia y pérdida ocasionada...

We loved our experienced at this hotel. The service is amazing and the rooms and bed are very comfortable. People are trustworthy and very friendly. Their staff makes sure you feel welcome and taking care of.

the overall experience was poor due to 3 issues:
1. the room is very simple, poor and lacks the comfort of other intercontinental hotels.
2. the checking process took me 50 (!!!) minutes of waiting in line. everyone was extremely mad why the reception didn't open another stand to expedite the process instead of letting us stand on our feet for almost an hour. nothing was offered in the meantime (like a chair or bottle of water... )
3. there was NO HOT WATER in the hotel during my stay. the staff claimed there was a problem with the hot water pump in the entire hotel and a colleague of mine that stayed in another room had the same problem.

As usual the quality of stay at an Intercontinental is superb, in terms of the quality of the rooms and the service offered by the staff. On my first night I was under the weather and room service sent me a pot of mint tea...On the House!!! The staff remember your name and your preferences.
However, the dinner food here on this occasion was very very salty. Both my colleague and I had this complaint. Again, because the staff are so great, they kept replacing the meal until we were able to get something we could eat and enjoy.
And the air condition in my room kept shutting down during the night where I would have to wake up due to the heat.

2 very nice restaurants on property, plus coffee bar. Much better than usual exercise facilities. Food at both on sight properties is memorable. Located across street from large mall if you need to do a little shopping. I would recommend and I will stay at this location again next time in San Salvador.

Although the location isn't ideal (right in between the end of the bad side of the city and the beginning of the good side), and it may not look like much from the outside, the inside must have been renovated rather recently, and by a very interesting modern mind.
Upon check-in we were told we had been upgraded, but the suite fitted exactly the description of the suite I had booked in origin. I couldn't spot the upgrade at all.
The bedroom was decently sized, and the bedding was extremely comfortable (I don't remember when was the last time I slept so well). The livingroom was on the small side for a suite. But the bathroom was by far the tiniest I have ever experienced at an InterContinental, to the point of being shockingly small and very uncomfortable even for two people brushing their teeth... I have been thrown into Courtyard by Marriott standard rooms with bigger and better bathrooms.
One of the three restaurants has a very appetizing local lunch menu, but the other two, which are very well rated in San Salvador, were disappointing (maybe because we've already been to our good share of Japanese and Brazilian restaurants and, internationally speaking, they are not of note, although they may truly be some of the best of their kind in the city).
The hotel isn't within walking distance of anything touristic (and if it were, walking would still be an option one would want to slowly ponder while looking at the area around the hotel), but the staff will promptly call you an official, trustworthy cab.
The visit to El Salvador was memorable; however, the hotel was not. Not because it was bad (at all, it's a solid hotel) but because it doesn't offer any extra anything, anything that would make it memorable.

The staff at this hotel is excellent and very accommodating. I have stayed at the other top hotels in San Salvador, and the Intercontinental far exceeds them in this area and in the room comfort and amenities. Don't stay anywhere else!

Room size and amenities, even with Gold Rewards were OK. Staff service from concierge to parking attendants were very good to excellent. Food at restaurants, cocktail hour were good.

AWFUL internet, terrible for working purposes. I even had trouble using the cable for internet. Tech services was contacted and couldn't fix the problem. Had to disconnect one device in order to use the internet on the 2nd device.

I travel for business to the area a few times a year and would not stay anywhere else. I have tried other hotels in the area and nothing compares to the experience you receive at the Intercontinental. The staff make you feel like family. They greet you by name, go out of their way to make you feel welcome, respond to any need or concern quickly and overall make it a overall great experience. The rooms and food are excellent with many restaurant choices to choose from. There is a reason the Intercontinental is always busy with It feels like my home away from home.

The InterContinental is always a very comfort place to stay. I travel to El Salvador often with my job and usually stay there. It is nice to see staff I know that warmly greet me. The room is very nice, great bed, super food. I highly recommend you consider staying in this hotel next time you are in El Salvador.

The room was good, confortable and cozy bed, but the tv/cable service was bad, since it turn on and off (out of air)
The room service and the food at the restaurant is quiet very good indeed!!
But when i tried to go to the swiming pool, it was a litlle bit far away and full of pepole from the events rooms... doing the coffe break. quiet unconfortable!!

Was staying at room 709. Every morning during my stay, from around 6 AM, through the AC system, odor of cooking oil burning, cigarrete smoke were pumped into my room. I reported it without success. Staff couldnt find a solution to the problem other than turning off the AC, and although doing it (and suffering heat), the problem stayed.

The hotel is a bit datecom the rooms have been remodeled, I was there twice last month and the second time got a better equipped room. Only issue is you Can't see clearly out the windows. Bathroom a bit small and only 1 old towel (both times)Gym is small. Service is good, room comfy, bfast great,

The upsells where changed and are not as good as before. Two months ago I went there, I was offered the Ambassador kit, by this time I haven't received the kit and none of the benefitts mentioned went I bought it were offered this time. I would like a refund.
