Overall adequate. But despite staying dozens of nights in the last couple of years, no attempt to make me feel like a valuable customer. Even benefits I am supposed to receive I have to ask for. Hotel restaurant is only breakfast and lunch, Fitness center is a fitness equipment museum, not a proper place to exercise. Few amenities beyond the standard. Good location, pleasant rooms.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 3nails4me Excellent staff, good room, adequate sleeping conditions
The staff at the Santiago Intercontinental is superb, both at the front desk and in the temporary restaurant location of the bar area. My room in the front tower was very nice; however, the airconditioning is only sufficient and the english business television selection is almost non existent (No. 1, FOX News for 13 years in the USA is not available, CNN International which continues to loose its small viewership is available. At least BBC is available for world news). For the businessman, you must use your computer for any real USA business news - very irritating for a hotel chain that is supposed to be one of the top hotel chains. Other chains I use in South America offer FOX News or FOX Business channel. Back to the room - it was comfortable and I did have 2 nights of good sleep. Once again, you will not find more accommodating staff as at this hotel in Santiago. Thanks.

The intercontinental Santiago is conveniently located in the business of Santiago with short walks and/or taxi rides to restaurants and other attractions.
In addition, the staff of the hotel, from front-desk to waiters and housekeeping, will go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. My last stay was almost a month and a there is nothing anyone at the hotel could have done better to make my stay enjoyable. I will definitely stay there again if my travels bring me back to Santiago.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Vinocruiser A very elegant hotel in a good location.
This was our first time at a Intercontinental hotel, and our 1st time in Santiago, Chili. A beautiful hotel located in the financial district of downtown near numerous restaurants and a huge 5 story mall. Friendly staff. The executive tower was worth the extra cost with a great breakfast, free happy hour 7-10pm, high speed internet, and upscale room with great views. We stayed there for 3 nights post cruise, and found the staff to be exceptional!
