Overally good to stay within Hotel. Well ordered & cleaned rooms are waiting for you.
But if you'd like to experience Chinese special as like massage then you'd better go out by taxi from Hotel.
If your company or business partner is located in Shanghai science industrial zone, you'd better stay Hotel closer from them for heavy traffic jam in the morning.
Food taste at 1F in the morning was very good with many fruits, dishes & juice except for Japanese miso soup & Noodle with vegetables. In dinner time, it's very simmilar with moring time. But becareful if you'd like to eat a steak, it was cold & no good taste. It need to be improved as for real Intercontinental Hotel.

THIS PROPERTY IS OUTSTANDING. WHAT A PLEASURE. QUIET LOCATION (I LIKE THAT). THE KIND OF PLACE WHERE YOU WANT JUST TO STAY IN AND ENJOY IT.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Danny73 Good room and view, service should be improved
The room facility, lounge and swimming pool is very good. But when we checked out, the staff had no smile during all the procedure. Hope it will be improved in next stay.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Favorite property in Shanghai
This is my preferred IHG hotel in Shanghai. Terrific views on the Skyline and Nanpu Bridge from the great and well-maintained room. Beautiful hotel grounds with gardens and old villas of which one houses a very nice British Pub.
Nice club lounge with good breakfast and evening spread.
Italian restaurant is one of my favorites in Shanghai.
Royal Ambassador benefits could be improved.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Loradtech Two great days in Shanghai
I was really tired after going all over china, finally I would have the last two days of my trip to complete one more meeting and relax.
I normally don't put a lot of attention on the hotels when I'm traveling unless I'm there for vacationing or if I have the change to relax for a bit. Intercontinental provide always a safe heaven to feel good and to recover from the energy required during all the meetings and tight schedules I have to keep.
The service in this hotel was fantastic, the corner suite has incredible views and we arrive so tired that just switch the non disturb sign and relax in the bath tub and took a nap.
After that we went shopping to the city, unfortunately we forgot to turn off the DND switch and miss the delivery of our fresh fruit basket and our welcome gift (ambassador platinum ).
Do not miss the cocktails on the lounge, the drinks are great but the pastries are superb.
After that go to bed and have a very nice breakfast at the lounge and spend all day enjoying Shanghai.
We were back late and found a small tray with 3 apples which I found not to the standard of quality of IC, specially with the diversity of fruit found in China.
Next morning again excellent breakfast, late checkout and as always the service was incredible, every time we arrive there was somebody to open the doors of our cab, welcome us to the hotel, help us with directions and give us ideas in how to make the most of our time there.
I would consider this one a perfect stay, but I miss my fresh fruit basket and my welcome gift, (i collect them), but since I leave the dnd sign on I think will be my fault. I mentioned at checkout and she told me she would put it on the comments.
Well, I'm planning in coming back in December, so hopefully them i can added to my collection.
Thank you for a great time as always

A true experience, my stay at the Intercontinental Expo. A fantastic new hotel, with great materials, architecture, friendly staf, easy to find, etc.
I have been in hunderds of hotels, but this place is in my top 3 ranking.

The connection between comfort, peace and quiet after a business day are extraordinary. The restaurants are excellent, the service idea is all over the house, without being intrusive.
The staff is also very accommodating and speaks excellent English.
The hotel is highly recommended, even if the situation on the Expo site at first glance seems a bit inconvenient to link island. This point can be ignored safely.
I'm looking forward to a return visit.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lifeng Great hotel, but food experience was bad
This is a really great hotel. Nice, clean and comfortable room. However, my breadfast and dinner experience is really not that great. I went to the same place for buffet dinner and breakfast in the lobby. The staff was very unfriendly. The chef making barbecue lamp chop was throwing the chops into my plate, not even look at me. It looks they were exetremly unhappy working in the big China national holiday. Overall the experience with Intercontinental was always great. But this time is a little disappointed. We were not allowed to pick up our own table, beause we were told they all reserved. However, after we finished out dinner one and half hour later, nobody showed up at all with so many tables are still empty. this is not nice to a such loyal member to the hotel chain.
I do wish this is only because of the holiday. I will go back to the hotel if I need, but definitely will not have apetitie to eat there.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Longhorn My Favorite Shanghai Hotel!
I travel from the States to Shanghai several times a year for work and, although Priority Club has several great hotels in both the Pudong area and Puxi, I find myself drawn back to IC Expo every time I travel to Shanghai. The staff is excellent...very knowledgeable, the services they provide as a 5 star hotel, and the Club Lounge staff. Everywhere in the hotel they are always attentive and even predict your needs but not constantly in your face.
The facilities are fantastic...a wide variety of restaurant offerings, an incredible workout area (including the best hotel pool for lap swimming I've ever encountered in all my travels in the US, Europe and Asia) as well as the layout and rich architecture of the hotel itself.
Make sure you book a room with a river view at IC Expo...amazing views of both Pudong and Puxi as you look down the river. The morning view as Shanghai comes to life is only outdone by the spectacular images of Shanghai lit up at night.
I've heard the on-site tailor makes good quality suits, shirts, etc. but can tell you from experience that it is very expensive…no different than any other on-site hotel or office building tailor. It may be a good option if you have limited time in the city and don’t mind paying top dollar. If you're looking for a good value when purchasing tailor-made clothing, you can easily take a taxi (RMB22-26…$4) to the South Bund Fabric Market...takes about 15 minutes and is just over the Nanpu Bridge. This is a fun Shanghai experience for westerners. If you do venture out to the fabric market, remember...everything is negotiable.
If you are a business person who is traveling to Shanghai, no need to look anywhere else...fast access to new Pudong business area (taxi is RMB20+) or easy access to Puxi area via the Nanpu Bridge. You won't regret your stay at IC Expo and you'll be able to focus on the work that brings you to Shanghai knowing the rest is taken care of completely.
