My family and I stayed intercontinental expo for two nights. We had been arranged to a river view room where the night view is beautiful. The overall experience is good!

Stayed six nights in August 2013.
Upgraded from Club room to Club Suite Room.
Staff at Club Rounge are always so kind and considerable to guests.
Unsasfied is that I were often forced to smell smoking at the elevator hall and the pass to the room. I wonder if this hotel has non smoking floor.

As usual, the staffs are very helpful and friendly. Excellent club lounge with good services.
Well maintained and clean.
Good food quality and chefs. Superior health club facility.
The swimming pool becomes too overcrowded and a little run down by too many kids and non-hotel visitors

It is my first stay in EXPO IC as RA and the overall experience is great. The room is upgraded to suite facing the river and the view is really nice.
The amendity of the hotel is very new compared with most of the IC i stayed in China.
The only thing need to improve is the service for breakfast.

I have stayed at this hotel three times in the past six months, for long periods of time. I recently had a ten night stay where our company took over the whole hotel for a week and the experience was fabulous. Icannot speak highly enough of the team at the Expo property, James GM, Uli, Dir of Sales and Mktg, Chef Sam, Sebastien F and B and all his team including Priscilla, Manish and the front office guys, Concierge leon, Stephen, and the entire team even down to housekeeping they are just amazing. I am missing my Interccontinental breakfasts, the executive lounge as my office and especially my bed!! they are just the best.
I would recommend this Hotel always for major events or even just to stay a few nights, I cant wait to be back with the team who are now also good friends after such a mad busy time and working so closely!
Thanks Intercontinental Expo Shanghai team you are fabulous and we will be back!

I STAY here 3 days include weekend.
A lot of people here and the swimming pool is dirty enough. also I didn't get the welcome gift when i check in in the reception.

I visited Shanghai for business and stayed at Intercontinental for 3 nights. I immensely enjoyed every aspect of my stay there. The room on the 25th floor was spacious, clean and quite with a great view over the river, the fitness center and business center and lounge had everything I needed and requested. The staff was always eager to serve and very polite. I especially want to thank the staff of the evening shift at the business lounge. They helped me book flights for the rest of my trip and room at Crowne Plaza in Xiamen, of the same hotel group that I also totally recommend. Last I want to thank M. G. / Director of Rooms, C.Z. / Reservation Agent, Y. W. / Personal Assistant to Area General Manager, and of course J. K. / General Manager.

This was hotel was booked for us by travel agents at the end of our cruise. I wish we had had longer to enjoy it. Our twin bedded room was lovely and I don't think I have had such a comfy bed. The view was superb. My husband and I found the staff very helpful, getting a taxi sorted for us and making sure we had a business card to show a taxi where to bring us on our return back to the hotel. We found the buffet a little on the expensive side but the food was absolutely delicious, on the following night we had room service, a lovely experience. Homemade beefburger (something I don't normally eat) with lovely chunky chips and a lovely fresh salad, wheeled in on a portable table beautifully laid out and covered with a white cloth and a white rose. It tasted really good. Breakfast was equally as good with so much choice. We used to the swimming pool twice and thoroughly enjoyed the experience and lay out on the verandah in the peace and quiet after. We liked that towels were given to us at the pool side and bottled water - a lovely touch and we helped ourselves to a very tasty apple on leaving. Thank you to the staff for a lovely stay - maybe one day we will be able to come again.

A very good business hotel with easy access from city's south side and Pudong, difficult to reach hongqiao airport and down town area, with new and good facility, with an excellent executive club lounge and health club.
Staffs are young and changing frequently, inexperienced, but overall very friendly.
Club staffs are very nice and helpful.
But unfortunately, I could feel the chill of cost saving effort plaguing every hotel today in China.

Building is amenities are pretty good (I guess because it is quite a new hotel). However, every time I have stayed there, I experienced problems, one kind or another. Last time, AC did not work properly and had to send for technician to fix who managed to blow the fuse. Not once my status as platinum status was recognized upon check in. Reservation was mishandled as I was charged for breakfast on the first morning but not the second morning. After checking my reservation again, breakfast should have been included. Receptionist and concierge are the biggest problems with this hotel. Not only are they not helpful but they did not even make up for it with friendliness.

The management of breakfast is very bad. The staff lead me a table. However after I take my food but somebody else have sitted there. Becase there is no sign to show the guest the table has been taken.
The horrible thing is, it happend twice when I have the breakfast over there.
It is very BAD!!!!!!

I recently at this hotel in Shanghai. I had a beautiful suite with a great bed and panoramic views of the river. The location lends itself to walking or jogging along the river front for exercise. Additionally, the heated indoor pool is extremely large and great for swimming laps. The Club Lounge offered a vast array of food and drinks. I was there for an entire week, and the food every evening in the Lounge was different which was welcome. The staff seems relatively new and thus not very knowledgeable about the area. Also, very few have command of the English language -- it was hard to communicate with the front desk and concierge. There are no restaurants within walking distance that are desirable. The dining select within the hotel is limited to an Italian Pizza place and a fancy Catonese restaurant. The lobby "restaurant" is simply a buffet which is not appetizing. There are two bars in the restaurant which the hotel leases out for private events. I was there 7 nights, and only one of the bars was open to hotel guests on one of the nights I was there. Needless to say, the bar and restaurant aspect needs to be improved.

Overall - the property, the rooms, the restaurants and the staff were excellent. My only comment was that the toiletry kit was missing toothpaste. Don't know what happened - usually this is bundled together with the toothbrush.
Also, due to the holiday, several restaurants were closed.
But again, the overall experience was excellent.

comfortable and modern interiors combined with a friendly and personal service. check out the amazing spa - it is the perfect place to rejuvenate. also the Italian restaurant is a must try.
