the room facilities, the swimming poool are fancy. and it is nice to offer the welcome drink.

This is a most beautiful hotel in Shenzhen and I highly recommend anyone visiting the city to stay here.
Modern facilities with polite and friendly staff. I also tried the spa whilst I was here and although a little expensive well worth spoiling yourself. Outstanding stay for 5 days.

At a good location near the almost CBDs in SZ, but the food is not good enough. I think you need to provide one more like Japan or Korea food. The china food is not good enough also, but the Thai food is very good.

I was a bit disappointed this time. Service was very inconsistent. in the lounge. One day service and everything in the lounge was perfect. Next day waiters forgot things we ordered, soup for breakfast was cold, waiters forgot things and often nobody was to be seen. They were running out of food and glasses at happy hour and nobody seemed to care. One of the worst lounge experiences in a long time. They seemed to have a lot of inexperienced people with not much training and almost no language skills.
Rooms are still pretty good, but starting to show some wear.

Hotel room and bed were comfortable. Great pool and gym. Staff training could be improved in the buffet restaurant. At times, the staff did not seem to be able to anticipate the needs of their diners.
The Brazilian restaurant and dinner buffet is over priced and I do not recommend eating at the hotel.

This is a hotel i have stayed with many times and it is amazing... i travel there for business but you feel like family. They make you feel welcomed and take care of your every need. concierge will help you with just about any issue and there business center and lounges are accommodating and helpful. I have been to many hotels on my travels and am not sure if around the world i have had service like this hotel. Would recommend this place to the maximum stars i could give (stayed here over 10 times) an d keep going back whenever in that area of china

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Sanity in the room is a question
I am in serious doubt about how often they exchange the pillows in the room. I get the fact that they would change the sheets or the covers, but I wonder how often they change the pillow.
I had a horrible moment as I tried to lie down as the smell from the pillow was awful. It smelt like the headrest on the taxi...
I called the housekeeping but they've only changed the cover of it and it didn't help, I gave up and I had to put fresh towels on top of the pillow throughout the rest of the week.
I am a frequent visitor.. FYI

Nice room, comfortable bed, wonderful view.
All of the time, service is great according to past experience here.
Only this time checkin is very slow and maybe because of big pressure, the Reception works with no smile which really causes bad feelings, especially it is almost mid-night of that day.
But it is also happy to see that hotel makes efforts to improve during my stay.

I've been staying at this property for a few times recently owing to convenient location. Impressed with the view of the balcony, very relaxing overlooking greens. Also, fishes in the pond.
Sad to see the manager of the lounge leaving on 1 May, he's been very informative and professional. Look forward to his successor soon.
Will surely be back in this hotel next time in Shenzhen!

I lived in Intercontinental SHENZHEN for 4 nights. I lost my wedding ring in the second day. The only people that entered my room was the service cleaner. I never left the hotel during my visit. My ring was definitely in the hotel. It is high possible that the room cleaner took it. However, they don't want to take any responsibility at all. I called the police at the end of that day. Still, my wedding ring was never recovered.
These people in Intercontinental SHENZHEN is very good at pushing the responsibility away. They do not consider things from customer pointer of view. I would never visit this hotel again unless they start to take the responsibility.
Advice for future visitors: take good care of your belongings. Their service cleaner is not clean at all.

When I checked into my room, I saw peeled oranges left on the table. It looked like the guest before me had left it and it was not cleaned before I checked in. The bed was also not made .. the sheets and pillows were crumpled as if someone as slept in it.
The couch and carpet floor in the room had several stains on it.
The property had a number of pools with fishes. They smelled quite bad when I walked near them.
I'm a Priority Club Platinum member, but I didn't feel there was any benefit to that. I was not given any upgrades or access to lounge. There was not even a priority check in line. I plan to opt for other hotel loyalty programs with much superior benefits.

Stayed here for a week last month and was very impressed with the level of service. As a Royal Ambassador, I stay very often at ICs, but hands down, this is one of my best experience.
Lounge staff at this location is one of the best, thanks for excellent management by Lounge manager Mike.
Galleon restaurant was closed for two days for some safety issues, but I am glad they made sure it was up to snuff before they reopened. Very good staff here too including Nard.

Breakfast serving staff, both the waiting staff and the cooks needs improvement in their courtesy and presentation. Housikeeping staff are OK, everyone of them greet guests on meeting them. Being an Ambassador Member, I should be served mineral water but was given bottled water instead after making request , without apology.

This hotel is my favorate hotel at Shenzhen, which I travel on a frequent basis. I do not need to emphasis on how great the service is and how beautiful the outdoor swimming pool is.
I forgot my ipad in the room when check out. 20 minutes after I checked out, I got a phone call on the taxi saying that the maiden found my ipad. I am glad that I still have time to go back before the plane takes off. I found that the maiden stayed in my room even after the clean work was done just to wait for my return. After the frontdesk gentlemen checked my ID and re-generate the room key for me, I went to my room and retrieved my ipad.
I would love to have the GM of the hotel to express my appreciation to the lady who found my ipad and to all staff who helped me to get my ipad back.
Again, thanks to all the staff and I will choose this hotel every time I visit Shenzhen.
PS, the plug outlet in the room was a little bit old and not easy to plug in.

The service did not match its 5-star status. Staff tended to be slack (Mercado Cafe) and food was slow in coming (Coriander).
The chamber-maid asked me to help her move the furniture in the room!!
A waiter (Mercado cafe) played with our receipt by using it to scratch his chin and face.
Instead of bring a clean lid for our hotpot, the waiter just took the lid off from the next table whose customers had left. Then he took the lid from ours to give it to another table. This was apalling because it was so inhygenic!

Lobby nice, airy, large and welcoming. Rooms are spacious. Galleon bar is different- good place for a drink. Pools are great- better for warmer weather especially for kids.
Club lounge does not allow kids under 12. This is not noted on the website and I think it should be. Or, if making a reservation where you note that 1+ child will be with you, and you choose a club access room... a pop up notice should come up. Club lounge is probably one of the weak points of the hotel-- dark, non-welcoming feeling, most limited in cocktails/ hors d'ouerves I have seen (compared to other China intercontinentals).
Breakfast is chaotic if the hotel is busy. Tables are too close together.
Nice location for family- amidst several parks/outings in walking distance.

I am a frequent traveler and a platinum PCR number, plus I stayed over 10 InterContinental hotels across China and U.S. This is the best InterContinental hotels out of all I have experienced.
The hotel is very luxuriously appointed and the room amenity and facility make your stay a truly comfortable and memorable experience.
By the way, the hotel has a wonderful outdoor swimming pool and theme park with man-made mini beach - it is like a resort hotel even it is located in the city. Just a little shame that I cannot enjoy it as it was raining outside when I was there.
Strongly recommend this hotel!
