Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by A below average stay My wife and I were upgraded to one of the suite rooms however on entry to the room we were greeted with a strong smell of cigarettes making it somewhat unbearable to stay in. We had to request for the room to be freshened up a few times to the point we had to purchase our own air freshener and put up with it. Room change was not an option despite requesting non-smoking room. Staff were attentive but not as friendly as the staff at the Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur as we noted a marked difference as that is where we came from. The only plus point was the location with only a few hundred yards to Bugis train station but that is where the positives end I am afraid. The hotel falls way below the standard of how an Intercontinental hotel should be and we will not be staying here again. 28 January 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Enjoyed my stay in Singapore Chose this hotel for my short stay in Singapore. Quick trip from the airport by taxi (subway also available with nearby stations) had me in the room less than an hour after the plane landed. Room on the 14th floor was comfortable, and well appointed. Went out to Orchard Road to see a friend in hospital, then returned early evening. Ordered from room service, came quicker than I expected, and well served. Had a good sleep, then enjoyed the hotel's buffet breakfast the next morning, many selections for health conscious diets. Went back to meet my friend from the hospital, then quick trip back to the hotel & checked out. It was a rush trip, stressed due to my friend's hospital stay, and I trusted the hotel to meet my needs without further stressing me. Thanks to the Singapore hotel staff, from welcome at the door until checkout.... Well done! 28 January 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great service great location stayed for a week and i had a noisy person in the next room who starts conference or something and yells every night around 3am until early morning. since sending security did not work, manager kindly changed our room couple of days after, as soon as another room becomes available. Room is beautiful and comfortable unless there is a noisy hotel guests around the room. we were able to watch new years firewoks from a room between the building. most of the hotel staff i communicated were nice and helpful. I will definitely come back again. 26 January 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent hotel and brilliant staff I started the stay by being upgraded to a shophouse room as the hotel was very busy. THis i thought was excellent. Although the room was an upgrade i soon found it to be a little problematic as these rooms are not accesible by the lifts and you have to get off at floor two and walk up to floor 3 via a back staircase and along an outside corridor. However this aside the room itself was lovely even though the hairdryer in the room did not work and there were a lack of plugs near mirrors. The Club intercontinental staff were the nicest staff i have encountered in a hotel in recent years and were very attentive and polite. so to were the staff in the breakfast rooms and the concierge. The hotel is in a central location and taxis are instantly available in the central courtyard entrance. Check in and check out was seemless and the whole experience was enjoyable. The pool was well looked after and very relaxing and i would certainly recommend staying in this hotel to anyone who asked. Internet connection was free with my room and provided a great service. I was also given use of the business centre free of charge if required which i thought was a nice touch. 26 January 2015

Knowing that my wife and me would celebrate our first marriage anniversary when staying, they have upgraded our room and prepared our room with romantic decoration. We are pleased to stay with Intercontinental Hotel and would continue to explore more staying experience with IHG hotels. 25 January 2015
