Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Holding money from visa card, refunding is still pending after 10 days from check out This is a problem that I think is a financial management point of view, not the front desk or the first line accountants. I decided on my next visit to Singapore in June-2015 not to use this hotel, I hate it when your money (other than what you are contracted to pay), is not refunded. Refund should be done no longer than 3 working days, in Russia at an electronic store I returned some items I purchased, the refund was done while I was in the store. Same in Australia. Sorry I loved the hotel, but don't like this financial decisions of hold money and worse not returning for 10 days so far. In many hotels when you check out, they send someone to check the mini bar and make sure the bathrobes and towels are counted for, and it is over. 19 January 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Small hiccups at first but otherwise great I'd booked this as a personal Christmas treat. Before I checked in, I called to ask if I was able to check in an hour earlier but was not impressed by the manners of the operator. However, after sending my feedback to a supervisor, the operator sent me a written apology. I don't really know what to think, but I appreciate the effort to make amends nonetheless. I like big rooms and was pleasantly surprised by Room #1509 (Level 15). This room may seem a bit old but the size was great. Plus I quite like having my own pillared foyer. The bathroom was nothing to shout about, but it was very clean - as you'd expect from the Intercontinental brand. The king-sized bed was very comfortable and I was glad to have a view (odd numbered rooms have better views). I got some some fruits as a token of apology for the earlier hiccups with my check-in request. As it was Christmas Eve, the hotel sent some complimentary chocolates from the pastry kitchen too. I like chocolates :) Breakfast was served at the Olive Tree restaurant. Everything tasted alright and I like the muesli served in pretty little jars. However, steer clear of the Malay noodle soup. It was tasteless. I pushed it away after just one taste. After breakfast, I thought I'd check out the swimming pool. Um... let's just say it was not worth a bother. Small, crowded and noisy. Instead I went back to my room, filled up a bath and had a peaceful and relaxing bubble bath. Finally, I would like to thank the hotel staff for retrieving my blouse and skirt, which I'd absentmindedly left in the wardrobe. Really appreciate that. Overall, I am happy with the service and comfort level of The Intercontinental, and would recommend this hotel to my family and friends. 17 January 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed Over the period of time which I have been visiting this specific hotel (2 times a year for the last 3 years) I feel that they have lost their dedication to the clientele. This is the first time I have been so disappointed with the service and staff, including the quality of the room, club room and check in process that I am considering going to "the holiday In" next time I travel. When I got their to check in I discovered that all lights in the hallway and door entrance to my room were out and it was not fixed for three of my five night stay. When entering the room I was bombarded with noise from the shopping centre. On the third night an alarm went off which could not be identified. Finally to add insult in injury on the fourth night we came back to discover that someone had been in our room and left an extra key. When we inquired about this extra key the hotel staff tired to convince us that this key had always been in our possession, which it was Definitely NOT. I travel 3-5 times a year for the past 10 years and I have always stayed in Intercontinental Hotels and have had nothing but praise for them. This time as stated above I am completely disappointed and at a loss to how a place with a name of such high standards has sunk to such lows. On the same trip I stayed at other Intercontinental hotels and they were a completed delight, excellent in every regard. Its amazing how different and awful Singapore Intercontinental was this time around. 17 January 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It is my second home I always try to stay at the Intercontinental Singapore at Bugis Junction, makes a nice central location. I have a table set up in my home with the gifts the different IHG hotel provides at check-in which are always nice to look at and remember. Unfortunately they forgot to give one this time, but I will still stay there for me it is still the best place in Singapore. 13 January 2015
