Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 5 star hotel Our family recently stayed for 12 days at the Intercontinental in Singapore.This hotel was perfect for my husband who was there on business and for our children who were on a vacation. The accommodations couldn't have been better, the service by the staff and food in the restaurants were outstanding. Everyone was so helpful to us especially Swathi who worked in Concierge. This was our first trip and we really hope to be able to go again. Thank you very much for making our stay so enjoyable. 17 May 2013

Superb location with convenient access to shopping, food and public transport (MRT). The most memorable piece of my stay was the excellent customer service from the staff. The service was very consistent from concierge right through to private dinning. Excellent job to staff at Intercontinental, keep up the good work! 16 May 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant comfortable stay This was just what I required for a two day stop over enroute back to Australia. As a priority rewards customer was upgraded to a suite which was extremely comfortable. The bed and bedding fantastic.Staff unfailingly helpful. Despite being a large hotel, there was an intimacy about it, partly because it does have a worn-in sort of vibe to it.This will require some attention soon but hopefully by not stripping away the homely elements.The Olive Tree Restaurant for breakfast was adequate if lacking in the right sort of atmosphere and does need some smartening up. Food choices pretty good though.All in all I would not hesitate to stay here again. 12 May 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Last Visit to Singapore The hotel staff seem very knowledgable, however when I arrived in the room, I was very shocked at the condition of the room for the name of the hotel and price. The carpet and the furniture covers were old and dingy. Even though when I booked my room on line, I included my wife name on the room, but upon arriving, they did not have her name on the list. These are small but noticeable things for a hotel of this name. The breakfast was great. When I arrived to check in, the attendant told me that Iwas receiving complimentary breakfast and internet. Wake-up. When I booked the room that was the options that I chosen and paid for, so it was not complimentary. Again, the staff and breakfast was great, but the room was definitely not worth the price that I expected. 10 May 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bath Solt and Laguage was not served We stay two time while in a weeek, 1 night x 2. First time, Bath Solt was served, but Second time was not. And Stored Laguage was not delivered as soon as checked in, then we lost a hour. 09 May 2013

But some improvements are required as follows. The interior of the room is old style. An electric socket is required for the adapter for conversion. 07 May 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sets the standard for all Singapore hotels This was our third stay at the Singapore Intercontinental, and absolutely came up to the very high standards achieved previously. Everything about this hotel is customer-focused. The staff are always friendly - especially the unsung heroes, the room maids and cleaning staff. The only (really minor) quibble was the bathroom which could have benefited from a little maintenance tlc. The flickering bulb and temperamental thermostat of the shower were the only flaws in an otherwise diamond experience. Always happy though to strong recommend this property. 05 May 2013

I am a gold ambassador and had a club room, and was upgraded to a suite along with 2 other colleagues who were booked under my name. So 3 suites given with only one ambassador! That's superb. Staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel itself is very nice and my room was exquisite. The best room I have stayed in anywhere. So keep up the good work with this hotel. 04 May 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful hotel but bad spa/gym I very much enjoyed my long stay at the Intercon. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms great, the service excellent. However, I was very disappointed by the gym and the spa area. For a long-stay guest, these amenities are important and, frankly, the gym/spa does not compare with the rest of the hotel. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice place and welcoming staff I stayed for over 3 weeks for my business trip at the Intercontinental, Singapore. My experience has been quite pleasing. The staff at the Intercontinental Hotel, Singapore are very nice. In particular, the staff at the Olive Tree restaurant are extremely good, very nice and always welcome me during my stay there. Very pleasant. The drawback is due to the food served at the Olive Tree restaurant, both breakfast and dinner (I did not try lunch there). Breakfast food variation is not much, and sometimes with odd choices. For instance, the combination of nasi lemak should go with fried chicken, but there was no fried chicken and instead, they gave curry. In general, there are too often food like curry and prata, instead of more variety like fried rice, noodle, etc. since I enjoy hot food so much in the morning. This is in contrast to my previous experience staying there last time, so I do hope they will improve next time. Overall, my stay was very good. The staff at the hotel are always excellent. 26 April 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very good people Enjoyed our stay here mainly because the staff we dealt with were all very helpful, friendly and professional. They cared about whether we were being looked after. Only brickbat was the wifi in the room and club. However it is set up it is rubbish. I think it took a minimum of 2-3 times to get connected each time and each attempt had several steps. Of course this was required each time I changed rooms or even if my phone/ipad went to sleep! Several times I just handed my iPad to the staff and said fix it and 5 minutes later after clearing my history and cookies etc they handed it back. I dont believe I have ever had such a poor experience any where in the world. Certainly not in recent times. 24 April 2013

The Club Lounge upgrade is well worth it. The service in this property is excellent, with people always there, looking out for you. If you're going to Manila/Makati, it's hard to be in a better location. 22 April 2013

Stayed annually for past few years, like the treatment provided. Housekeeping though could improve with better understanding of English.
