Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very good people Enjoyed our stay here mainly because the staff we dealt with were all very helpful, friendly and professional. They cared about whether we were being looked after. Only brickbat was the wifi in the room and club. However it is set up it is rubbish. I think it took a minimum of 2-3 times to get connected each time and each attempt had several steps. Of course this was required each time I changed rooms or even if my phone/ipad went to sleep! Several times I just handed my iPad to the staff and said fix it and 5 minutes later after clearing my history and cookies etc they handed it back. I dont believe I have ever had such a poor experience any where in the world. Certainly not in recent times. 24 April 2013

The Club Lounge upgrade is well worth it. The service in this property is excellent, with people always there, looking out for you. If you're going to Manila/Makati, it's hard to be in a better location. 22 April 2013

Breakfast in the taste, which is a polite cooking, It was delicious. The bed comfort was the best ever. It is the hotel you want to stay again if the opportunity next time. 19 April 2013

Stayed annually for past few years, like the treatment provided. Housekeeping though could improve with better understanding of English. The guest lounge is a superb place to relax throughout the day and early evening but should you decide to return, post dinner, for coffee and something sweet - forget it. Although there is a menu for cakes to accompany tea/coffee, the choice of sweet offerings is always down to 2/3 pieces only. Basically the choice is whatever is left over from the day's selection from the deli counter. This situation is a damper on the excellence of the hotel. 14 April 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Qualified service level Impressed by passionate receptionists at lobby and club lounge while check-in. Inquiries are responded properly with good manners. One minor thing is children under 12 are not allowed to enter Club lounge at cocktail time, just feel a bit weird cause never see such restriction in any other InterCon facilities. 10 April 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A Classic Experience The Intercontinental Singapore site is classic, warm and inviting from the moment you step out of the car into the lobby. Friendly staff to greet and help you when needed and not over the top "in your face", subtle and engaging service everywhere you turn. Personally, I like the location next to Bugis Junction, easy access to the MRT if you choose, and an overall convenient location away from the Orchard road traffic, making it typically easier for colleagues to pick you up without delay. 09 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Relaxation & rejuvenation We experienced the usual high level of facilities and service at the Intercontinental Singapore - food, cocktails, service. The only exception to this high standard was that provided by concierge. - inconsistent and incomplete information, slow service, lack of reply to email. This stay was our first in a shopfront room and we noticed quite a bit of noise coming through the 2cm gap under the door - this noise frequently came from hotel staff in neighbouring rooms. We look forward to our next return, whether for work or pleasure. 08 April 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great room, but few minor and major problem with staff Stay over a weekend at the hotel with my wife to celebrate our anniversary. package come with free wifi + breakfast + late check out (4pm) if available. Have a early check in and inform staff that would like to have a late check out but due to high demand (can only stay till 2pm the next day) no complain on that. Check in to a nice room on the 10 floor. The room is newly done with classic Singapore design. and the bathroom have a deep bathtub which is nice to soak in. Overall positive impression with the room. Below is some issue I believe the hotel need to work with. *minor issue. Turndown service was late - We went out for dinner and when we are back around 9pm the staff was in the midst of doing the turndown service on our level and our room is not even done yet. *Major issue. Breakfast at The Olive Tree. Do not have your meal at the lounge area if the staff ask you to have it there due to pack in The Olive Tree saying the selection is similar. It a lie. I was offer a table at the lounge area and I ate there and turn out I go in to Olive Tree to take a look after my breakfast there is more selection.( eg. fresh fruit juice, porridge, soup, pancake, and many more.) if the selection is not the same just say not the same why lie and get people to use the lounge area. 31 March 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Enjoy Singapore! The IC in Singapore is a really iconic hotel with an ambiance from yesteryear. We really enjoyed the colonial styling coupled with the electricity that surrounds the hotel in the form of Bugis street, easy access to Orchard Road, the Singapore Flyer and Clarke Quay. The staff were very easy to deal with and quite respectful of your privacy. We stayed in the Shopfront suite, which was well decorated and recently renovated. It was a very good size. The club is exceptional and one of the largest of its type I have stayed in. With that said, it was quiet, roomy, comfortable and well serviced. I will definitely be staying here again. 31 March 2013

Although only being a new Priority Club Member, we did enjoy some small extra benefit which was appreciated. Felt Pool area could use an upgrade. Enjoyed our stay and would use this hotel again, but felt price to be on the higher side. 30 March 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Hotel but needs refreshing Good hotel but the room facility needs refreshing The foyer light in my room switched off after 1 minute of being on so I had to always go and switch it on and it automatically switches off again after a minute or two There is no master switch to switch off all the lights, had to switch the lights on or off one by one (this is very old style) The shower area - you can see rust around the stainless hooks - which is not acceptable for an Inter-Continental Hotel 28 March 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Location Location Location, and Service What a great loction. Central to access most of the sights by foot, plus underground access to MRT via connecting shopping Mall. Service and friendliness of the staff could not have been any better. My wife and I stayed for a week (Intercontinental Club) and were totally surprised with what we got and were offered by the ever smiling and ever helpful staff. The rooms were of a good standard (clean , spacious enough and well serviced), all passageways, lifts, dining areas, swimming pool, foyer and function areas were clean and spectacular in their old colonial fashion. We had a wonderful experience staying there and have already reccommended it to friends. Satisfied Guests 28 March 2013

It is a grand and beautiful building and yet manages to offer the comfort of a home-from-home experience. What really makes this hotel special are the staff. From the time you walk through the door to the time you leave you will feel welcomed and totally looked after. They remember your name and seem to remember everything you like. And the hotel is ideally situated to walk to many places and right next to shops and an MRT underground station. It's the only place to stay in Singapore. We also had a great dim sum lunch at the Man Fu Yuan restaurant in the hotel which was terrific. The drunken chicken is recommended! 25 March 2013

My request and expectation were met and beyond that, my partner and I was surprised by a Birthday Cake ;). Thats truly amazing! Thank you very much for making our stay-cation memorable. The facilities were very good and am very impressed by the friendliness of the staff. Had an amazing dinner at Chikuyo-tei and the Omakase Dinner Course of 9 dishes tasted really good. However, we kept wondering about what will be served next and how many dishes in total, although Japanese typically serve the meal as a whole set at 1 go. Nevertheless, we will return again ;) and looking forward to another great memorable time at IC Sg. 23 March 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by service orientated hotel in a good location My colleagues and I stayed at this hotel for nearly a week during our visit to Singapore. It is a great hotel with staff focused on service and customer satisfaction. Coordinating booking for 9 rooms was not easy, staff at hotel try to help our need. Check in at hotel was really quick and smooth, staff at front desk are the best in the hotel I have to say. I have been upgraded because my gold statue with priority club. Hotel strategically located in the heart of Singapore. Bugis shopping mall is connected with the hotel, Bugis Junction subway station is also part of the complex. It only cost 2 dollars from Airport by subway, amazing. Room is big, bed is comfortable and bathroom is renovated, but the hotel facilities in general are dated. Swimming pool is great on the roof top, Gym is small and dated, spa and sauna are part of changing room at gym. Service at lounge bar and breakfast restaurant are pretty average, really depends on who you get. Quality of breakfast is good but nothing great. Coffee is good and fresh squeezed juice are available but I did not discover until the third day. Breakfast at weekend seems less desirable than during the weekdays. Roti bread can hardly eat during weekend, rock hard! I reported to the hotel lobby manager and she took it very seriously, definitely the quality improved on next day. All in all it was very pleasant stay at this hotel, considering the service provided by the hotel in this unhappy society, I will definitely come back in the future. 18 March 2013
