Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outstanding hotel From arrival I was impressed by the hotel and service. Checkin was quick friendly and efficient . I was taken to my room and shown everything in the room and all hotel facilities explained. The club room was outstanding, excellent food and drink, and all staff in all departments were outstanding in every way. The cleanliness of the room and hotel was excellent and far better than most top hotels anywhere in the world. Unable to fault any part of my great 4 day stay. Overall one of the leading hotels anywhere in the world. I look forward to returning next year. Only steps away from shopping malls, restaurants and many of the facilities of Singapore 17 July 2014

The Intercontinental in Singapore has a welcoming atmosphere; it is both comfortable and elegant. The staff are delightful, friendly and professional. The service is thorough and quick, and the food is varied and delicious. We absolutely loved spending our evenings unwinding in the beautiful lobby lounge. That is the heart of the hotel and is a calm oasis, with comfortable lounges, splendid fittings and an attentive but non-intrusive staff. We enjoyed the location because while easy to get to many parts of Singapore by MRT, we did not feel that we were over run by tourists (being one ourselves!). 17 July 2014

I received a fantastic room upon checkin, and was happy that the room was adequately cooled when I opened the door after a long day of flights from the US. Breakfast was superb with too many options to try. Highly recommended! 15 July 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Service of Club Lounge, but noise from the mall renovation. Kenny and Fiona are the best staff in the Hotel. They are very helpful, friendly and patient. They solved all the problems for me. Awesome. only one thing that wanna complaint about is the noise from the mall renovation. Start drilling from 9am and even after 830pm someone was still working there. 14 July 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Home away from home.. We stayed for six days in July and our children started calling it home. We took full advantage of the facilities, including the pool and the club services. The high tea was a big highlight each day with small offerings of an ever changing menu. As usual the staff were very pleasant and helpful. It was great being recognised as a returning guest. I was also pleased to see two staff with disabilities contributing to the experience. We had stayed previously in November and visited the pool however this time it seemed much larger and the poolside furniture looked fresher. It was great to have access to the new entertainment service, We had taken DVDs only to find that as the country code is different that they were not compatible with the player, The kids loved being able to watch a movie on down times. This time we ate in the Olive Tree for a dinner and loved being seated in the booth. It was much quieter and roomier and made the experience very enjoyable. I appreciate that the hotel provides a laundry service but for us it would have been better to have an in-house self serve washing machine. We had booked this hotel at the end of our holiday and were in need of fresh clothing. 13 July 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My favourite hotel in Singapore IHG Singapore never let me down. Staff are very nice, courteous and prompt. I was upgraded to the shop house room as they ran out of room on the higher floors at the main tower. I enjoyed the new decor and it has sufficient sockets in the room for all your devices. The concierge was helpful, though I wish there are more taxi available. I had to wait for 10 minutes before there's any taxi turning into the hotel ramp. 11 July 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by well done intercontinental singapore Stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel Singapore for 14-15 days in June/July. Overall a really great experience. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff are really well trained. Loved the attention and service we got. THank you so much to the great front desk and staff at Olive restaurant during breakfast buffets! I liked the feeling of the hotel. It was very intimate and seemed personalised. Little touches made a diference with us and never went unnoticed. Only negative was the business room needed to be updated and so do the drab elevators which just seemed very tired looking. We also stayed in the shophouse room, which was really nice and well done. Will definitely come back to intercontinental next summer. 11 July 2014

She tried to upsale us on everything, after a long flight all we wanted to do was get to room. Whilst she was very friendly it was just too much. 11 July 2014

Staff were friendly and smiley. But the room is a bit old and pool is too small. Anyway, I will recommend my friend to stay in Intercontinental hotel cos the location is very convenience and shops around. 09 July 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Calm luxury in the heart of Singapore We wanted a calm luxurious stay in the heart of Singapore, and this property delivers. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful, really made you feel welcome. The lobby and adjacent lounge was pleasant, with happy hour prices. Our room on the 15th floor had a wonderful view, and was quite spacious for a city hotel. We only stayed for three nights, but had a wonderful time. Would definitely return. 08 July 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by First impression Staffs at the reservations desk plays a very important part, as they are the ones leaving a first impression to guests. Last week was my first time at Intercontinental SG. I did not felt welcomed when I was at the reservations desk. I politely requested for adjoining rooms and late checkout. I do understand when the lady told me the hotel is at it's peak on weekends and they can only accommodate my request subjected to availability. But a little smile won't do any harm. I felt I was given a curt reply. I was a little furious, especially when I was tired from travelling and to be given a cold welcome. I usually request for late checkouts at other hotels, and staffs are usually very apologetic and polite when they cannot extend the hours for me, and in those cases, I do not mind. Just a smile can do wonders. Your bathrooms are not child-friendly. Children are unable to reach the sink to wash up. In most hotels, they provide some kind of stool in their bathrooms. The buffet breakfast food is good, except for the dim sum. Other than that, the rest of the stay was pleasant. Staffs and service at the breakfast was good, and room cleaning staffs we encountered along the corridor were friendly. 08 July 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel Stayed for 3 nights on rewards points but paid for lounge access. The Intercontinental Singapore was all I was hoping for. Great location, room, restaurant and Club Room. Most important aspect of the hotel is the professional and friendly staff who could not be faulted in any way which is a credit to the hotel and themselves. In short I highly recommend the Intercontinental Singapore if you are looking for location, facilities, restaurant and best of all great staff. 07 July 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very comfortable bed and Convenient Location Normally the service at Intercontinental Singapore is very good. While transit in Singapore I stayed 1 night there. I had 2 issues on this current stay. 1)The Olive rest. breakfast service was extremely terrible. 2nd time I experienced that in the last 3 stays. 2)I missed a meeting at the airport while I had to wait 20 minutes for a basic carry bag to be delivered to my room by house keeping when it should had been done within 5 minutes. I had to make 3 calls to chase them down. Kelvin Chan the duty manager did try to rectify it by paying for my taxi fare. He did mention a further upgrade from what I will normally get as an Ambassador member in my next stay. Please remind him. On an overall service and quality, Intercontinental Singapore is still very good with the exception of the service and quality at Olive Restaurant. Service is bad and the Dim Sum at the breakfast buffet is terrible. Just eating the skin with no ingredients!! The concierge service, front desk, room were all excellent. 04 July 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by One of the Best of the Best What can I say; is the Intercontinental Singapore, the best Intercontinental Hotel? Certainly, it sets very high standards of service, comfort and efficiency. It is dependable and efficient, without being clinical in its delivery. I love to stay there when I have escaped from assignments in Africa; I feel that I am truly back home in the Asia-Pacific region and the bustle of business. But the Singapore Intercontinental is more than just a first class hotel; it is a meeting place, a home from home, and refuge from that bustle outside. It has perhaps one of the most eloquent Club Rooms around with ever attentive staff and splendid refreshments at the end of a weary day. If not the best, then at least it is a candidate for the best, exhibiting and setting the best standards of Intercontinental Hotels worldwide. I have no doubt ever about staying at this lovely hotel. 03 July 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by disappointing I had high expectations of your hotel but was fairly disappointed. I booked the room as the weekend deal was attractive. The room I was given was old and tired. There were obviously signs of wear and tear eg sink stopper was not working, obvious pealing of paint etc. Not sure whether I was given a room of such quality because there was an offer. However, service was prompt and requested items were delivered to the room quickly. Next morning, my friend and I had breakfast at the cafe. My friend, as a matter of practice wore the bedroom slippers to the cafe. She was unhappy that a male staff who attended to us was scanning her from top to bottom, obviously disapproving her choice of footwear. The staff then proceeded to inform my friend that the slippers were not acceptable and she had to change it. The staff was rude and his tone unpleasant. He did not even address my friend before telling her off. My friend is a frequent traveller (for work and leisure) and has never experienced this with other hotels. We were very disappointed with the service. My friend actually has plans to organize a staycation with her husband at your hotel but after the unpleasant experience, decided to change her plans. I have stayed at intercontinental in Korea and the experience was wonderful. Can't say the same for this. I will not stay in this hotel in the future. 02 July 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by An other excellent stay at Intercontinental Singapore After previously been living in Singapore have I now become a relative frequent visitor. That have given me the opportunity to visit different hotels in the City, and Intercontinental have become my most frequent choice do the Staff, very nice rooms, cleanliness, atmosphere and not at least value for money. There is only one small thing where I would like to see the hotel improve, and that is a bit annoying for a person that loves a cup of coffee in the morning. When you are seated for breakfast you are always asked what you like Coffee/Te etc. and normally I would expect the Coffee to be on the table when I return with my breakfast. But most of the mornings I have had at the hotel the rule have been that there will be nothing there, you will have to order again. A small thing..........should be easy to fix. 30 June 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent location, brilliant food On a recent shopping trip, we found the high quality of the service and the comfort of the rooms added greatly to the enjoyment of our Singapore stay. The club lounge was very well laid out and the furniture was tasteful and sophisticated. The food prepared by the chef, both at breakfast and for the evening canapés was of a very high standard indeed, both in variety and quality. 30 June 2014
