Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent with great customer service After a shock that our booking was for the wrong day our error, we were quickly found a room, we had booked a reward night upgraded to a club room, unfortunately there was no reward nights available so we had to pay the full rate. However the stay was excellent the staff throughout the hotel are extremely friendly and professional . The room although not large was very comfortable with a huge bed soft large white towels, complimentary fruit and water. We enjoyed using the club room with afternoon tea, cocktail hour with delicious horses d'oeuvres Singapore slings , only complaint the seating is not very comfortable if you are there for any length of time. We used the facility after checking out until we needed to leave for the airport. The pool on the fourth floor is a wonderful haven with large pool towels and plenty of lounges. I was surprised however it was not accessable if you had any mobility problem.. 29 March 2014

Staff are very attentive and new King shophouse rooms are lovely. Club lounge evening drinks and canapés a nice touch as is the breakfast in the lounge. Sure the selection may be limited than if you were to dine in the main restaurant but there is still plenty of choice and you are not queuing for anything. 28 March 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Everything functions perfectly Our stay at the IC in Singapore was memorable because every aspect of our stay was handled smoothly and perfectly. From the check in after an overnight flight, to the quality of the room, to the services (breakfast, laundry, WiFi, the pool and the lounges and bar), to the final wake up call and taxi waiting for us 4:30 am. We were consistently greeted by name and all staff were completely dedicated to doing a great job. And they did! Thank you for a wonderful visit to Singapore. 26 March 2014

The staff at check-in greeted us with a warm genuine smile and they were so helpful, especially Jess. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service It is worth the money. Booked under official capacity. Room in 11th floor opposite to the National Liberary view was excellant. Its central location in the city to accessiblity all locations was great too. Sleep Quality: the mattress was too soft and it did affect my back as i have a spinal problem. I did not realize it was because of the mattress until i consulted the doctor. I cannot blame the management for that as i did not bring to the management attention. 24 March 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Singapore We stayed at the Intercontinental for 7 nights. My wife was born here in the British Military Hospital and had not been back for 50 years! It is in a superb location, ideal for MRT and all city centre amenities. We looked at numerous hotels before we booked and are very happy that we chose the right one! Not too much noise or traffic and fantastic concierge service, good food, pleasant and knowledgeable staff, great maid service. The staff provided all the information we required to make our stay memorable.....alll you have to do is ask. Nothing was too much trouble. So, if you are exploring Singapore the Intercontinental makes a great base from which to begin your magical journey. Thank you for a wonderful stay. 09 March 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 great stay on arrival we found all the staff very helpful and friendly - from the men at the door to the receptionist. Special mention to the older gentleman (apologies I didn't get his name) who assisted us on arrival and showed us to our room. He made the kids feel welcome. The gentleman, when he saw us over the next few days chatted with the kids and enquired after our holiday. He had an excellent friendly manner and made us feel like valued guests. The room was good for us with 2 queen beds and quite spacious given 2 adults and 2 young children. If I had one observation that irritated us a little it was that our room didn't seem to get serviced until quite late. Most days we were back at lunchtime after a morning outing and the room still wasn't serviced. Nice touch with the water bottles but seems like a waste of plastics. Is there a better way? Free reusable water bottles (branded) with jugs of filtered water? Breakfast was great with excellent selections and excellent staff. They were all approachable and friendly. Pool was great although some more shade would have been appreciated. We probably would have ordered some room service at the pool but it wasn't obvious as to how to do this. No menus or instructions anywhere. I also used the gym which had all the essential gear. Although I couldn't figure out how to use one bit of equipment. I could have asked but I figure the staff should be watching and coming to assist if they see a guest is unsure. They could be more proactive. Still overall, these are just suggestions - we had a great time and the staff were fantastic. Great location and decor. If we come back we'll look to stay again. 08 March 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Right in the center of things... I had two weeks in Singapore at the IC. Overall everything was great, the location of the hotel is very good for a selection of shopping and food. The food choices within 2 blocks of the hotel probably include over 100 options. Try "Fat Bird" for close, excellent, and great value. I had one of the famous shophouse suites, and really like these room very very much. The downside is that noise from Bugis Junction mall can be a minor annoyance to significant depending on your noise tolerance. There perpetually seems to be some kind of construction in the mall, and all the shophouse suites have windows that overlook directly into the mall. It was to the point that i complained to the staff, and was moved to a room not directly next to the construction. On balance, i prefer the shophouse rooms to the tower. So i didn't move all the way over the tower which is much quieter. If you like quiet stay in the tower. Otherwise these rooms are more like staying in small apartment than a hotel. During my 5-day with this hotel, I managed to the Oliver Tree Café for breakfast twice. The first time, was almost 10:30am, and I saw the restaurant manager rush out of his Café and talk on his cell phone, and receptionist said to me: sorry we are closed… The second day, I made to arrive the Cafe by 10:12am, and experienced the following: a. Food Choice is very limited, unlike other Inter-Continental chain I had stayed with. b. Front desk receptionist (man in black suit) is absent minded. He brought me to my table, and asked me want coffee or tea? I order coffee with him and took 10 minutes still not available. He saw me looking at him for coffee, but always said “please wait”…till I lost my patient, then a bus boy came and asked me: what kind of coffee would you like?” c. Waitress and Waters are chatting and making fun to each other in the center of restaurant other while guests are still taking breakfast. d. My used dishes piled up, and no one come to collect them…and I took a photo to show how I managed those used dishes not to take over my small table. Overall, this Café is not meeting a minimum of inter-continental standard at all. 08 March 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Don't even think of staying anywhere else Whatever you want in a hotel, it's here at the Intercontinental Sinmgapore. Fantastic central location, wonderful rooms fitted out with great thought so that everything is there and in the right place. The designer of this hotel obviously knows what a traveller needs and has taken care to provide it. The staff are really great - friendly and efficient - and nothing is too much trouble for them. Try the Club Room for that extra touch of luxury and service, but take breakfast in the main restaurant because it is very good. I shall certainly return on any future trips to Singapore. Thank you to everyone working there for making our stay so enjoyable. 07 March 2014

The club lounge was fantastic, although I did notice that last year, when I was here, champagne was served in the club lounge during Happy Hour. However, on my stay last week, champagne was no longer offered. Hope they bring back the champagne on my next trip. 02 March 2014

InterContinental is known for its outstanding services, friendly and accommodating staff, well appointed rooms and great amenities. In our stays we've found this to be true. We are happy, repeat customers here. Our stay this time started with a pleasant check-in. The reception staff upgraded our room to a very nice, spacious, well appointed room on the 5th fl. We enjoyed all the wondeful services, great amenities, including the daily fruit basket with extra chocolates; special pillows; daily breakfast in beautiful Olive Tree, which serves great brunch buffet and has exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, including the managers, who constantly helped out the crew. All staff greeted the guests and made sure everything was satisfactory! My wife put the fitness center and the pool to good use. We also enjoyed the drinks and service at the charming Victoria Bar very much. We were delighted that IC- Singapore continued its tradition of hosting spectacular Lion dances in its large, circular front courtyard this year, which, in fact, included an exciting Dragon Dance! For the Superbowl, it was very nice of IC to let guests watch THE GAME in our own room early in the morning! We'll be back to IC-Singapore next time in town. 27 February 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Invoicing Invoicing was a nightmare. I am still in discussions with them regarding overcharges for breakfast. When I checked-in, the agent indicated breakfast was not included in my rates. She asked if I would like to accept @ $25/breakfast. I agreed. She then asked if I wanted breakfast included in my room rate or billed separately. I indicated separately. My final bill included breakfast in my room rate. Correcting it has generated multiple statements with differrent rates each time. I'm not sure if I was billed what was originally quoted. The staff has been very pleasant and apologetic during this ordeal, but the results are disappointing. It was not a pleasant way to end my travels. 26 February 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Five Star service Arrived at the Intercontinental Singapore and was greeted by the reception staff with efficiency and courtesy. We were shown to the Club lounge and offered drinks whilst our check in was completed. Everything was explained to us about what was available. We were given an upgrade to a shophouse room. Whilst the room was very comfortable we found that the walk from the room to hotel foyer was too far away. There needs to be another exit and if there was one, we didn't find it. The Club lounge was excellent, the food, drinks selection and of course the impeccable service were five star. Will highly recommend this hotel to other business associates and friends. 21 February 2014
