Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by June From the moment we arrived at the front desk we felt that the person talking to us was giving a professional personal service, something many say but few do and that feeling continued consistently throughout our stay from the room maid to the pool attendant and all the restaurant staff to name just a few. Not everything went smoothly, the hotel was overbooked for our first night but we were seamlessly transferred to the Ramada Blue and back again the following day at OUR convenience, the room didn't have an iron or ironing board but was replaced without us even being aware they had been. The air con leaked condensate within 5 minutes they arrived to fix it also in 5 minutes then arranged for housekeeping to clean up., seamless professionalism from all parties of the team. We were given access to the club for our stay and that put the icing on the cake so to speak, especially at the high tea and cocktails , ,although breakfast away from the crowds was a bonus too Even down at the beach club great during the day fantastic in the evening having a cool cocktail at the waters edge watching the sun go down and plenty of people watching with the standard of service that we had come to expect as standard at the hotel. A fantastic stay in a hotel that stood out from its contemporaries by its friendly cautious and professional staff to make us feel special and valued. I most certainly would recommend this hotel to anyone . 08 July 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay fantastic staff! My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 13 nights and had a wonderful time. The rooms are very clean and tidy and the staff very friendly, professional and knowledgeable! We are members of the ambassador program and as such we were upgraded to a club level room, which had a wonderful view of the pool and the distant sea and amazing sunsets which combined with a glass of wine we enjoyed either from our balcony or the club level lounge terrace each evening before heading out. The room was cleaned to a superb standard every day and we really enjoyed our trip. The hotel was kind enough to send us a bottle of champagne as it was my birthday during our stay. We really could not fault the stay the only issue we ran into was with our room door lock. The battery died in it 3 times which prevented us from entering our room. It did take till the 4th time for the issue to finally be resolved once and for all and we were sent a bottle of wine for the inconvenience and I received several calls from various management levels apologizing. We will continue to stay at Intercontinental hotels as they do not fail to deliver a high standard in both service and comfort levels. The next trip we have planned is to stay at the intercontinental Rome during Sept. 08 July 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by clean rooms and some good service have used this hotel many and been totally satisfied my wifes favourite hotel but we where very dissapointed i rejoined priority club and expected a room upgrade so i booked a junior suite .and was told by the reception people that by moving me from floor 10 to floor 14 in the same suite that i booked covered their obligation for an upgrade, as a ships captain i wonder why i was treated like i am stupid to believe that an upgrade is moving 4 floors up in the same room when i first joined the priority club it was 50 usd now it is double so i expected at least the same if not more better service cannot fault the hotel for the most part clean rooms mostly helpfull staff, but to spend half the first day arguing and moving is not a goodstart to a weekend break which i had been looking forward to after being in africa for 3 months, 07 July 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant stay! People who care... that matters! We would like to thank all the employees who have done great job to make our stay a pleasure. Most of the changes contribute to the comfort of the guests. The lobby looks modern and spacious; the chaise-longues at the beach are much more comfortable, at the new Waterbiscuit they make very good cocktails. Only it's a pity that you have sacrificed the Eastern Breeze. We've missed a lot it’s sirenity, fine food and excellent service! We haven't found an alternative yet while "Asian nights" in Haruba cannot replace the Breeze for us as we are used to eat only one dish in the evening. May be in the future you could find another solution so that once in a while guests could enjoy à la carte the magic food from the ex-chef of the Eastern Breeze. We were happy to know that our remarks of the previous stay have been taken into consideration and the quality of breakfast has been considerably improved in comparison with the last year. However the service still needs some improvement. Yet are several employees who are attentive, quick and efficient. They make the morning, which starts at breakfast, really good. Our room was kept in perfect order; check-in and check-out were quick and efficient; our excursion was well organized by concierge department; our temporary difficulties to connect to Wi-Fi was solved thanks to the help of customer relations representative who just happened to be near by... We have received immediate assistance from the other employees whenever we needed it. We appreciate your concern and attention! We look forward to enjoy your hospitality again! What I did not know was the respect and hospitality I received from management and staff. Incredible experience, wonderful people (staff and management) and a beautiful place to be if you are looking either for a business trip or a place to relax. Very well done! 26 June 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent stay We would like to thank you for our stay with you. We stayed 15 nights and all were pleasurable. The staff were all lovely ad made you feel important. There were few hiccups in checking in and toilet issues but all were solved with no issues. We enjoyed the breakfast in mornings and the pool was nice and quiet and very cold. Thank you again and we hope to visit agin soon :) 14 June 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Patio This is the fourth time I have stayed at the InterContinental (in Malta on business), and was quite disappointed with the positioning of the room. I asked that I have a room on the North side of the hotel and was given room 515, unfortunately there was no view (apart from a roof) and the balcony was in shade the whole time. This wouldn't have been a problem, but I was charged the same price as previously when I was in a better position. I will be visiting Malta in February and June every year and would like to stay at your hotel, but will now think twice if I have the same type of room. 08 June 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A very pleasant stay I enjoyed my stay at this hotel very much. The room was delightful with a very comfortable bed and good pillows. The bathroom was modern. Both bedroom and bathroom were immaculately clean. It was very nice to have a terrace to the room so one could sit outside. The staff were very friendly, helpful and had positive attitudes. Any little problem was remedied immediately. The food was reasonably priced and good. The breakfast was excellent with a very large choice. The swimming pool was big but a bit on the cold side. I would definitely recommend this hotel. 23 May 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable stay We had quite a pleasant stay and would possibly make a return visit. On the whole the service was good, except for the odd occasion. Service @ the pool bar restaurant could have been better, and the meal was not up to the standard I would have expected - just average cafeteria style food. Our room did not have the iron and ironing board, and bathrobes as advertised but they were provided upon request. If I could make a few suggestions that I feel would have enhanced my stay. I would have liked a few more milk sachets for the tea and coffee sachets provided. The concierge desk seems to be hidden in the corner I feel that this should be placed in a more prominent position- on one occasion when I went to seek advice the desk was empty. 21 May 2013

The hotel is very centrally located, all rooms have balconies, and they have one of the biggest gyms I have been, with sauna, steam rooms and spa. I was very satisfied with the whole experience, and I would return again. 19 May 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great People and Location Thank you to the front desk staff and concierge for helping get my luggage to Malta. I appreciate all of your efforts! Pros: The people who work here are very good. They are helpful, polite and know how to take of you. I would like to mention Nicola, our waitress, in the Priority Club Lounge. She is very knowledgeable of things to do and she always took great care of us. Thank You Nicola! The location of the hotel made it very easy to shop, eat and drink. The tour bus stop is at the end of the road and all of the drivers know where it is. I would recommend purchasing Priority Club Lounge access at time of check-in. The same breakfast is available in the lounge and at half the cost. Plus there is daily wine and beer tasting and of course Nicola makes it a very nice experience. Cons: The elevators are incredibly slow and unpredictable. These should really have their programs adjusted to be more efficient. They are also very small and are mostly packed. Here is a tip which will help. Use the elevators early morning or after check-out time, otherwise take the stairs. 07 May 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 1 week with Intercontinental Malta We were welcomed warmly and it was quite late. Check-in was smooth and fast. The staff were friendly. Breakfast is ok, pastries are extremely good. 1 week with same breakfast daily where absolutely nothing is changed is not what we expect. Regarding room, bed is comfortable, room is big enough, bathroom as well. Airconditioner did not work as it should, too hot. It is a pity no drinking water as complimentary service. Staff is friendly but we somehow got incomplete information. When asking the route to Gozo, staff always suggests to go to Cirkewwa, but we found later we can go with ferries from Sliema which is cheaper and faster and more fun. We use restaurant there and service is great even when I was too late. 07 May 2013

From the moment our taxi parked at the Hotel Entrance to the moment we left 4 days later, the staff exhibited the most charming, helpful efficiency I have experienced in any hotel. The rooms were large, clean, comfortable and quiet. The food in the hotel was high quality and the standard of service everywhere was professional but friendly. It really was a great experience and I look forward to my return to The Intercontinental, Malta. 22 April 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by its all here The moment you walk into the lobby of this hotel you can feel you made a good choice to stay at.From the porters to the front desk staff all greet you with a smile and seem happy to see you.The check in was very smooth and quick.We booked a king panoramic room with access to the club lounge.The view from our balcony was loverly looking out towards the bay.The rooms have everything you could need including a very modern bathroom with bath and seperate shower cubicle plenty of toiletries shampoos etc.The bedroom had a very comfortable king size bed .The t.v had bbcworld news and sky news channels so you can if you want keep up with all the news.Tea and coffee facilities were also provided in the room during our stay.We did encounter one or two minor problems during our stay but the hotel went the extra mile to sort them out to our satisfaction so well done hotel for caring as much as you did .So if you plan to come to malta give the intercontental a try i dont think you will be dissapointed. 20 April 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fabulous Property We love this property so much we hope to return each year. The staff is incredible--welcoming, helpful, friendly. Views are terrific, location is great, beautiful hotel and views. The Club Lounge is the best I have been to, and I travel to Intercontinental hotels all the time. The beachfront restaurant, Parranga, is terrific, and every bit as enjoyable as a similar restaurant in Cannes. And the hotel is a great value --may be the last value destination remaining in the EU. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Room next door was being drilled at 6am Ok so lets not make this long. I was woken at 6 to a hammer drill in the room next door, when I complained to the front desk I was told "yes we are maintaining, im very sorry it is completely out of my control", to which I replied "Im pretty sure its completely in your control, in fact you are the only person in the entire world with whom has control of this situation...move me to a new room or tell the workmen to stop" (all said with a jovial attitude and smile on my face to hide the inner rage). So long story cut short, staying at a youth hostel is less hassle and cheaper. 28 February 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by fantastic hotel A great stay loved the hotel the amenities were first class with free wi fi in our room.We had a meal in all the restaurants and the food very very good just what you would expect from a five star hotel.But the best part of the hotel is the staff every one of them nothing was to much for them and all ways with a smile will come back again for a holiday 26 February 2013
