Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely Hotel stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in October 2013 and have to say the quality of the hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is very close to the weekend busy nightlife but you certainly wouldn't know it. The description states the room is soundproof and it was. Spacious room and bathroom. We only booked for bed and breakfast and the breakfast catered for every taste and need. The breakfast staff were very pleasant and helpful, especially Joseph who was a very nice mature and happy gentlemen with plenty of knowledge of the surrounding area on where to go and what to do When you get to the airport there is a taxi office where you can get transport to the hotel for 20 euros and at the hotel taxis are available round the clock. The hotel has its own private beach with beds and towels, a beach bar also serving food and all the staff were very pleasant and very helpful. Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. Would recommend this Hotel to couples singles and families alike of all ages. 03 November 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by friendly staff I was assigned a swimming pool VIEW room which had a large tree immediately in front of the balcony.....there was absolutely no view of anything........except the tree. as a platinum member I thought I would be assigned a higher floor or at least one that didn't have a tree growing on the balcony. The staff was friendly, but the location questionable and difficult to find when driving. MORE SIGNS?????????? 31 October 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Parking / Dining Hi I have enjoyed our weekend stay over at the hotel however these 2 points below have changed my mind on coming back another time. #1 - As a 5 star hotel it should be standard policy to offer free parking to residents who stay more than 1 night at the hotel (Friday-Sunday). At check out we left the luggages in the store room to be picked up later and was told by a yuong lady at the reception that we can collect the parking ticket later. Upon returning to collect the luggages, the gentleman at the reception informed us we have no free parking and there is nothing written on our account, he informed me to insert the ticket in the car park machine (like I didnt know). This I believe should be standard policy if you are to be a 5 star hotel.....as is in every 5 star hotel in the area. I ended up having to pay 23euro parking. #2 - I find it very unprofessional that you mention EASTERN BREEZE restaurant on nearly every board next to the lift - stating it is at level 4 (even in the lobby) - Also the room service menu has a page specifically for eastern breeze. I got to know that it doesnt even exist anymore in the hotel by a hotel staff. 31 October 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel with Great Service but.. We stayed in a club room on the 13th Floor. The room was lovely with a good view and very spacious. We had a small problem with the bath but this was quickly and efficiently sorted out within 10 minutes of being reported. I loved the Hotel and the lovely helpful staff, especially Adam on the concierge desk. The location of this Hotel in Paceville is not great, but this did not bother us too much. My only criticism concerns the food. We had breakfast every day in the Executive Lounge but the food was always cold. On our fist evening we ate in the Alfresco Garden and was very disappointed with the quality of the meal. I had the chicken supreme which was a piece of grilled chicken with a mushroom sauce. Chicken was tough and cold. Because of this we ate out every evening except on Monday night. We decided to try another of your restaurants, the Soprano. I ordered the Chicken BBQ pizza. We had to wait 40 minutes for our meal and when it arrived the Chicken BBQ pizza did not have any chicken only bits of bacon. Another big disappointment. I am planning to return to Malta because I loved the Island but will not stay at the Intercontinental because of the bad experience with the food which is a great shame. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Room Needs Updating & Maintenance King bed uncomfortable - was two single beds stitched together. Bed sunk in the middle. Shower leaked. TV remote control not working. Lights had to be kept on if you wanted the electrical power points to work, for e.g. if you were charging your phone. Not the best set up if you needed to charge your phone overnight. Noisy AC in bedroom Hotel service was extremely friendly and professional. The hotel's saving grace. 22 October 2013

Warm, welcoming, and helpful staff; beautiful and extremely comfortable rooms, easy access to a beautiful sandy beach, and you can't wish for a better location. We only missed to have a sea view since the hotel isn't located on the beach, and a breakfast with more choices. We also would like to bring the attention of the respectable Intercontinental staff to the fact that the green salad was not always properly washed so much so that you can feel the sand while eating. 19 October 2013

It has style and class from the very moment you walk in, with friendly and knowledgeable staff to great you. The rooms are clean and airy and have everything you need to make your stay memorable. The franchised restautant, waterbiscuits, which is based at the hotel, serves amazing food. I have stayed in Malta a few times and this was my first stay at the intercontinental but it definitely won't be the last! 17 October 2013

We had some unusual requests and issues, but Clarence (in the Lounge) and Francesca (at the main desk) went well above and beyond what one might expect in any hotel, even of this caliber. Robert (Concierge) was also very helpful. 15 October 2013

Robert Concierge and Caroline Guest Hospitality were so helpful and friendly and knowledgable. Room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good with a good selection; had to queue in morning but it moved very quickly. Lots of good restaurants in the area. Kids loved the rooftop pool. 11 October 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A fantastic stay We really can't fault this hotel. The staff are fantastic, so very friendly and helpful...and you didn't feel it was forced. Every member of staff had a smile for us, reception, restaraunt and the chambermaids, every single one acknowledges you, asks if you are ok etc. The rooms are very very clean. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. I would reccomend paying extra for a quiet room though as we did, preferably away from the air conditioning unit on the roof and the street. We would certainly give Intercontinental Malta a well set deserved 10 out of 10. For a large hotel to maintain the standards they do is excellent. 11 October 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff and great service We stayed for two nights. The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we checked until we checked out. The room was found to be very clean and tidy and remained so during our stay. All requests were attended to quickly with a smile. Our waiter at breakfast was both helpful and informative. Breakfast was delicious. The range of food was so wide. All my food choices were tasty and well cooked. We would definitely stay here again. 08 October 2013

The staff we very friendly and welcoming and were happy to help with any queries. Our room was terrific and had a great view. There are lots of facilities on offer at the hotel including a variety of restaurants, which were excellent. We would definitely recommend the hotel and hope to return soon. 08 October 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Hotel Our stay in this hotel was for a weekend break and to celebrate my wife's birthday. The staff were really first class and the great experience began with reception. I think the receptionist who checked us in was called Jessica, and she could not have been more pleasant or helpful. We were early, because of flight times, but we were still checked as soon as they could get the room cleaned. The Executive lounge was worth every penny of the upgrade and represents the very best in such hotel lounges. The lounge staff were also very helpful in making arrangements for us and ensuring we had everything we needed. The lounge waitress, Nicola, was also particularly helpful. 05 October 2013

The staff is very professional and available to solve any problem, suggesting the best solution. Rooms are really comfortable, but the real "number one" is the beach restaurant. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent customer service My friends and I stayed at the intercontinental to celebrate my 30th birthday. We had a great time. The hotel couldn't do enough for us. We got an upgrade, I got complementary champagne and cakes for my actual birthday and a late check out was organised free of charge. All the staff we met were super helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We loved the private beach and the outdoor pool area. We relaxed, we swam, we toured the whole of Malta, we had afternoon tea, pre dinner canapes, feeling that the Intercontinental was a superb choice. The staff was knowledgeable, polite, professional and went the extra mile to assist us in any way possible. We had an incredible week largely responsible to the fabulous Intercontinental, 26 September 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by bedroom good, but the value was less than what we pay nice hotel, but problems with shower, all water came to outside, they didnt have body lotion in the bedrooms. breakfast was very poor. and the value of the bedrooms they could offer one service in spa to the clients (like massage or something) the price was to much for the value of the hotel. i can say is normal one, nothing special. staff not all very nice.just the first one that gave us the welcome,,,and the staff on the pool was nice, but a few were very antisocial. 25 September 2013

We both had a very nice time at the InterContinental Hotel Malta.The staff were very helpful, nice and professional. They were there for us all the time. The restaurants in the hotel were the best we could find in St Julians. The hotel is also very close to bus stops with easy access to Malta. The downside is the area around the hotel, Paceville, which is too lively and busy with sprortsbars and pubs. While in the hotel the sound from the streets wasn´t noticeable at all. 22 September 2013

Clean and comfortable rooms with staff which will do the outmost to make your visit as if you are at home while being miles away! Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Service Less Consistent Than Previous Visits Looking forward to our 5th and yearly visit to Intercontinental Malta, we were disappointed with some aspects of the service that we received. Late servicing of the room, delays with baggage to and from our room, poor pool and beach service contributed to a feeling that standards have fallen from our previous stays. Saying that, Guest Relations were quick to respond although the above issues did return towards the end of our stay when we changed rooms. The positive experience was within the Club Lounge, where we received the usual high levels of service. We will consider returning next year, although we will be hoping that service levels throughout the hotel improves. 12 September 2013
