Lots of connections in room for tech devices. One of the nicest hotels we have stayed at. An overall pleasant experience. Would highly recommend it. 12 November 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Birthday celebration made even better We stayed at the InterContinental Sydney to celebrate my wife's birthday and being upgraded to a suite got the weekend off to a flying start. The view from the bridge to heads was simply stunning. Friendly and knowledgeable staff ensured we got the most from our stay. Loved every minute! 11 November 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by the worst intercontinental experience ever! arrogant attitude at the reception, was told guaranteed check in is from 3 pm only! upgrade policy confusing, did not get all the perks for being platinum ambassador member. be aware if you ask for some additional services. staff only thinks how to make money out of you, instead of really helping you to get the best travel or exchange deals. 10 November 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Midweek Break! Again, the Intercontinental Sydney was our choice for a night out. Great service, they always make you feel welcome, even if you aren't quite dressed the part! Good service, good food and drinks. We weren't there long, but long enough to know we were welcome. Beds are so comfortable you don't want to get up. Air con was the only issue this stay, it didn't seem to work in our room, luckily it wasn't hot, so we didn't worry about it. We will be back :) 09 November 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful property! The staff at the InterContinental Sydney were amazing. Polite, professional, helpful. I was in Sydney on business and especially appreciated how polite and accommodating the housekeeping staff were, working around my sometime unpredictable hours and maintaining my room without being intrusive. The hotel's location is great, too, right near Circular Quay and close to trains, buses, and ferries to all of Sydney. All in all, a great place to stay! 09 November 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by not such a fabulous stay this time We did not receive turn down service on our first night like we normally do. Then on the second night we had a knock on our door after 9pm asking if we would like turn down service - a little late as we were watching a movie. The Intercontinental Club room was fantastic as usual. Sparkling wine served in Cortille lounge was flat. 09 November 2014

Walking distance to the Sydney Opera House where we enjoyed the musical -The king and I, and the Rock, and city shopping. Nice and friendly hotel staff, I was offered a bottle of water while waiting taxi in the lobby, appreciated. I was allowed to enter the roof top lounge to take photos of the city and next time I will pay to again access. 07 November 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice hotel - some disappointment No dedicated priority check in, had to wait in the queue. Had to phone to get bottled water replenished. Even though I am a Platinum Elite member, did not get an room upgrade. Paid extra for a harbour view room, but got a room on a low floor and half the view was obscured by buildings. It was our wedding night so had hoped for a decent room upgrade, but did receive a note with chocolates and a bottle of wine. Good service overall. Food was good. 06 November 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A long weekend escape to Sydney As an Ambassador there are a number of benefits which come with the membership and added to the Club experience made for a wonderful long weekend escape to Sydney. The wonderful experience starts from arrival. A very nice King Harbour Bridge View Room, with a great view of the Harbour Bridge and you could just see North Head. The extra special experience is however when you go up the Club. The view is stunning, the service and staff are wonderful! We arrived in time to enjoy a cup of tea and a snack, which was quickly followed by twilight drinks (happy hour), fantastic! After a very restful sleep and delightful (extensive) breakfast in the Club we headed out of doors. The location, just near Circular Quay is great, close to all forms of transport and we did make the most of the above average temperature. Two nights isn't really enough time, but we did make the most of time, including a swim in the indoor pool, and a 4pm checkout. 06 November 2014

I like the room with the view to the Bridge and Opera House and Circular Key. I would have loved to stay longer. Near the Botanical garden, which is great for a morning walk. 06 November 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not what we expected Upon arrival there was a gentleman with a complaint regarding the $25.00 per day charge for WiFi because he wasn't a "Member" I could understand his thoughts as I thought it was a tad rude too (considering you can get it free from McDonalds anywhere) After checking in we went to our room to unpack. then we thought we would head down to the lounge for some refreshments, well the first drinks took about 20 minutes to come & then ordered another round which also took in excess of 20 minutes, so we cancelled them & left. Went back to our room to watch TV - the remote didn't work properly.... thought we might look to see what movies were on, but at nearly $17.00 we gave that a miss too. the following night after dining out (elsewhere) we came back to the same lounge for a coffee & guess what ! yes they were only warm.... our last morning we went for breakfast & yes, it was mostly cold too ! Otherwise, a very nice building in a very nice position. 05 November 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent again! Stayed at one our of favs again last night. Quick stay, however service is excellent, nothing is a problem. Check in is very easy and you feel special regardless of what room you have booked and paid for. Beds are fantastic and I didn't want to get up in the morning. Had room service this time around. Excellent midnight feast, quality couldn't be questioned. Couldn't ask for anything more. Thanks! We are back in a few weeks and I am sure it will be good once again. 04 November 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by front of house staff fantastic this time it felt like there was a new manager on site. everybody we came in contact with seemed to have lifted their game from last visit. the total experience was great only spoiled by the house keeping staff deciding to keep an ipad charger we left plugged into the wall. otherwise a fantastic experience. 03 November 2014

It may be Australian nature but I could not feel a good hospitality from front staff when I checked in and out. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great Weekend Away this is the first time I have experienced an intercontinental hotel and did so using a weekend certificate. from the time I arrived at check-in the staff were friendly and helpful. the room was fantastic with a great view of the bridge. just wished I had club access, but loved the whole experience. 28 October 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service and experience The staff were exceptionally good at interpersonal skills and extremely warm and welcoming at all times. There was not a comfort that was not attended to with exceptional service during our stay. A lost pearl was retrieved from the plumbing without a bother, and with a smile and stored safely for us until we collected this later in the evening. The pillows were 'to die for'. 28 October 2014

All staff members we encountered were friendly and professional and I was able to confirm our return flights in the Business Centre. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Home Away From Home I travel to Sydney 3-4 times a year and always stay here. The service has always been excellent, rooms clean, tidy and comfortable, quiet and food is always good. The Club Lounge is spectacular and with great views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, really connect you with Sydney if you're a new visitor. The TV/Movie/Entertainment system is excellent with respect to movies, available channels and quality of reception, but the actual TV is starting to show age compared to the newer hotels. 26 October 2014
