MY ONLY ISSUE IS THAT DURING MY STAY I HAVE NOT RECEIVED SERVICE ,AFTER LEAVING MY ROOM FOR THE DAY AND TO COME AND FIND OUT THAT MY ROOM WAS NOT CLEAN FOR THE WHOLE DAY WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED ..THAT I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH.INFACT WHEN I CALL THE ONLY THING THEY COULD DO IS TO SEND US SOME CLEAN TOWELS.

My wife and I were down for the Outback bowl and stayed here. The facility was excellent and we really enjoyed the beauty of the place. The beds were great, the staff very helpful and our overall experience was extremely enjoyable.

Stay on new years eve. Room was not what I booked. Had to get maintenance twice. Staff were unacknowledged and management was not helpful. Over priced can't even begin to describe this place.
Worn, outdated and unpleasant!

Very bad experience at Intercontinental Tampa. I'm often staying at Intercontinental Montréal for business and pleasure and it's simpy PERFECT!...so when my family and I went to our second home in Sarasota, we slept at Intercontinental Tampa since our flight was coming late. This experience was simply TERRIBLE!!! I called the day before our arrival to tell them that we would check in late since our flight was landing at 11h PM, that I would need the usual upgrade or at least an extra roller bed since I'm travelling with my wife and my 3 year old daughter. The answer: yes no problem sir.
At check in the manager said that he couldn't upgrade me and that even if I called yesterday, he just couldn't do it since there were too much Ambassador members in the hotel...and he told me that he was short of roller bed, he had none left !!! He had absolutely no solution for us!! Was I supposed to sleep in the bathtub? After several minutes we were beginning to loose patience...the manager called someone on the radio to ask for the roller bed and we heard : yes we have at least one left. WOW! So the manager pretend to understand us and said he was trying to do something for us....but in fact he was saying anything but the truth!
How come we had to fight the manager to get the minimum??? I guess we were even lucky to get a room (with no king bed of course). Honestly, I had better service at Motels and this is absolutely not what I'm expecting (nor what I'm use to) from Intercontinental. Very bad and sad experience,

Spent two nights here in December 2012, had to change out my first room due to odd configuration for a guest suite (conference table in the middle of the living space). First room was up high (11th floor) with bay view, replacement room was down on the second floor with a view of the hotel driveway...not so good due to traffic noise late at night.
Shula's No Name Lounge pours good drinks, but we had to ask for snacks to go with the alcohol as it appears this is not automatically offered.
Hotel shares its' footprint with an executive office complex, so the lobby area and office atrium co-exist, but it works well.

Excellent hotel, was given an upgraded room which was beautifully appointed. When I asked about free internet which was supposed offered to Ambassador members (I am a Platinum Ambassador), I was told this was only available to Royal Ambassador members. At a previous stay, the internet was complimentary and I had the same status. I did not argue over it, but online saw that all Ambassador members were supposed to receive complimentary internet.

my only complaint was that I arrived at 7:00 pm starved and ordered room service, I was told it would be 30 minutes before my dinner arrived, at 8:10 I called again and was apologized to as I was forgotten, I got my dinner at 8:40 (delicious), but the staff did give me a bonus slice of pie and felt very bad about this.

I stay here several times a year and always enjoy my stay. Staff is very friendly, rooms are comfortable and I love eating at Shula's Steakhouse. DL

Stayed 2 nights at the Intercontinental Tampa. Friendly staff through out the hotel. The hotel is close to the airport, 2 different shopping malls and several restaurants. The rooms are great. Large and spacious. Good sized bathroom. As an Gold Ambassador of Intercontinental I did miss some of the privileges that we normally get at Intercontinental Hotels and many other IHG Brands. No free internet, only a free bottle of water as amenity. The hotel has a bar and restaurant, both are nice and serves good food and drinks. The hotel did not have a club lounge either, which is standard at all other Intercontinental hotels I have stayed at. I am not sure that I would return to this property next time in Tampa.

We prepaid for a room with a king bedroom and when we were not told that we had been bumped from this room into a queen room. When we realized that the bed in our room was not a king, we went back to the front service desk to ask for a king. We were told they didn't have one, then minutes laters we were told that to give us that room they would have to "kick out an employee" from his room. We were told this repeatedly, how because of us this employee was being kicked out of his room just to make us happy. Well, it did not, it was late and I had a very grueling next day ahead of me and comments like this made us wonder if your staff has had any formal customer service training.
We later asked about where we could have food delivered from since not "hot food" was being served when we arrived. They pointed to a delivery man wondering the halls and said, "Go ask him we don't know." and then turned around to manage something "important" on their cell phones.
This is not the last time I visit Tampa since my family and I frequently travel there for professional meetings and examinations. However, this is the last time I will frequent your hotel and will pass this experience along to my colleagues.

My issue was with the shower. Shower-head was loose, had to shower against the wall. There were activities held in the lobby facing my room, and it got pretty loud (also they were using a loudspeaker). I stayed there because I was taking a test in the building, not really by choice, and it is very distracting, all the noises. It's an ok hotel, but I think it's pretty expensive for what you get. The walls are super thin, you hear every single noise, and the doors slam shut very loudly. Also, the shuttle is only to/from airport. I have previously stayed at other hotels in the area, and they run the shuttle to the International Plaza and other nearby (I think 5 mile radius) places (and these were cheaper hotels). I think for the price, it's not too much to ask for a ride to the mall...(yeah, the one across the street is really ... doesn't really count)

I am a platinum member and travel 50% of the time. It is not worth the cost of the hotel. I stay in all types of Priority Club hotels and this one I rate the lowest of them all. Here are some of the reasons: 1 – no true platinum reward benefits, well free internet, LOL, its free in 95% of all the hotels that I stay in. Not even free water; they want you to pay $7 for the bottle in the room. Well you can pay the $200 a year and get some stuff, but why when I can stay somewhere else and get the same benefits for free. 2 – Had a problem with my vehicle and when asked for some assistance, they said sorry we cannot help you. 3 – Rooms do not have a fridge in them, except the one that is stacked with overpriced items. So when you need to keep something cold, there is no where to put it. 4 – The view is horrible, you cannot really keep your curtains open, because everyone in the offices across from you can see everything you do. I can go on, but overall for cost the hotel, you can get a place closer to water or stay somewhere else where they treat reward members with some real benefits.

I stay here at least 7-8 nights/month and will not stay anywhere else. Great staff and fantastic facility. Close to anything you'll need including I-275 and the airport.

All aspects were fantastic! The location was perfect for our purpose, Great mall across the street, anything you want was there. The dining was very nice. They even remembered my wife and son's breakfast choices. I can't say that I had to have too much interaction with hotel staff but the few that I did were extremely responsive. Definitely a place to stay!

This location does a great job. I appreciate the option to park myself for free or use valet. Sometimes I valet, sometimes not but the option and convenience of parking myself is great. Rooms always nice and clean.
