We stayed downtown for a wedding and my husband had to do a small performance at the wedding, on our way we realized he forgot his harmonicas and we were going to be late. We paid the cab driver to go back to the hotel, the management was kind enough to go to our room and gather his harmonicas and give them to our cab driver to deliver to us. Kudos to Intercontinental and the cabbie! And the environment and beds were awesome to boot. Super happy with our experience. Thanks 17 September 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wedding Venue This was an amazing venue to hold our wedding of 110 guests. We were on the 2nd floor and had our ceremony and reception room all on the same floor. We even hired two babysitters and had a "kids only" room across from the reception room. The space is modern, clean, and elegant. My advice, Intercontinental should improve the variety of their candy bar. We opted to have our own selection of candy which our guests absolutely loved. We had to pay extra for this. We also had a brunch at Proofs the next day. Feedback from our guests is that the waffles were hard. The first batch of bacon was crispy and tastey. The second batch was soggy. These are minor issues that the hotel could easily improve on. The overall experience of our guests and us is that we loved the venue. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor service My friends and I (all paying guests) returned from the Blue Jays game to chat and figure out our plans for the night. We were then greeted by what I assumed is some sort of hotel management with the news that we were being too loud and everyone in our room had to leave. We were then threatened. They told us if there was a single complaint against us that all of us would be thrown out of the hotel and would be required to pay the remainder of our stay. I have been organizing a trip to Toronto for the last five years with my closest friends and this is the first time I have had even the slightest issue. I certainly hope that threatening to kick people out of their hotel isn't the way they deal with all their problems. 11 September 2014
