Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service, great staff, loved it! Stayed for a full week and couldn't have enjoyed it more. May be a little dated for some but perfect for my taste and they are renovating now. Very convenient location. All the shopping and restaurants you could possibly ask for all within easy walking distance. Staff were helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable, bed was downright delicious, no noise from other rooms and the cleaning staff were top notch. Would definitely stay there again and would recommend to others! Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great meals Experience was good however we left 2 items in the room and called within 2 hours of realizing this to Housekeeping/Lost and Found. Left a brand new dress shirt in the closet and an Apple wall charger in the bathroom. Unfortunately for us, we never got them back. April 29, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Toronto Escape I took a few days off and spent 3 nights mid-week at this hotel. It is an older property, and thus smaller and more sombre than it's Front Street sister hotel. However, it was very clean, comfortable the staff were superb, and the location can't be beat. The one note that I would add is that the in-house toiletries are quite scented which was a problem for me. I will stay here again. April 26, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff, location and hotel Room: As always the rooms are always nice in this hotel and clean. Thanks for the wonderful hand written welcome card, its always appreciated. Front Staff: They were very nice and friendly, and when I checked-in Ahmed remembered me from my last stay, and also Fabiana, as she was welcoming the guests that arrived, it was a nice welcome. The new lady there Shannon was very friendly, even though she was still a trainee, she was still very efficient and also Ahmed was assisting her with the check-in. Everyone that was working on the hotel greeted everyone guests/visitors they see in the hotel. Concierge: On my first night, there, I met up with a friend for dinner but we didn’t know where to go. Thankfully the Concierge was there and we asked Fabiana for some suggestions for a restaurant around the area. She gave us a very good suggestion, where we end up having our dinner. On Saturday I have spoken again to Fabiana, to get more information about the “Hot Docs Film Festival” since I will be back again at the hotel for this event with some friends. She gave me lots of information about it and where I can get the tickets, she offered to call them if I knew what Film I’ll be watching, but as I didn’t know yet. I had to put it on hold to check with my friends. She informed me once I know to let her know. I commend Fabiana for her amazing customer service, very friendly and always smiling. Cleaning Staff: All the cleaning staff that I saw and meet in the hallways were all very nice and said hi and good morning/afternoon. While they were cleaning the room, I was sitting at the chairs near the elevator waiting to be finish. I was coughing a lot (I was sick). The lady told me my room was done and asked me how I was doing since she noticed I wasn’t feeling good. It’s something simple but it was very nice for her to ask about it. I don't know her name but I really appreciate her concern. My Visitors: All my visitors were very impressed with the hotel and staff, some of them didn’t even realized that there is a hotel there. Since I didn’t feel very well, I have invited friends to hang out with me in my room. The living room are was very nice to having guests. Issue: The only issue I had and my guests mentioned too was the very strong scent in the main entrance. It was a nice scent but VERY strong. Summary: Overall I am very satisfied with my stay this time around, that being said I will be back here again next month this time with some friends, managed to convince them to stay here. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel with wonderful staff The people who work here make this place. The hotel itself is very nice, with good amenities. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are nice. However its the staff that will keep me coming back. They are very attentive,and respond to every need. It was a pleasurable experience! April 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by all-around excellent hotel The overall experience was top-notch. All staff were extremely helpful, considerate, attentive, and warm. The room was comfortable and quiet (even being near the elevator). The location is superb: close to Yonge, right in the shopping district, right across from UT campus which is beautiful. The wireless service wasn't free unless I became a rewards program member (which is free) and once on the wireless network, service was generally reliable although a bit spotty at times. If I'm back in Yorkville, I will definitely stay here! April 22, 2015
