Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place for business or leisure stay Great service from the front desk to the Azure bartender. Room was excellent, great view, amazing bed/pillows. Excellent location, quick walk to work, shops and restaurants. Looking forward to my next stay. 24 September 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bi-Level Suits and Amanda made my stay a five star! Amanda is a front person that you check in with. She ensured that we had a terrific stay. She not only made sure our room was one we were happy with, she went out of her way to make us happy. She made the trip exceptional. If it was not for her I would have probably not have booked the trip and moreover have such a great experience. The Bi-level executive suites are out of this world. I highly recommend it. The spacious living room and the bedroom on the second floor is pure bliss. The breakfast was by far the yummiest in the city and the service was on point. Our porter checked us in and out, He was keen on making us settle into our room very quickly and effortlessly. He went out of his way to make us happy. Overall we were pretty happy with our stay. I would recommend this place for anyone wanting to stay in the city with all having all the space and comforts without being close to everything. 24 September 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great Lobby, poor room We came to this hotel with high expectations as we've been told it's beautiful. When arriving, the valet took my car keys, and it was an easy interaction. We went inside and the lobby was beautiful so we became very excited. Check in was quick and easy, and they pleasantly upgraded us to the 18th floor with the water view. First impressions walking into our room.. Dirty, old, and very dated. The carpet was fraying and quite stained, the wallpaper was peeling, the furniture was dirty and abused. The bathroom was also dated, we felt like we should of brought water shoes to shower in. You could of had a bath in the huge toilet tank that must of been 30 years old. The worse part was that the hand towels all had long black hairs in them. I complained and while we were at the show they brought up more towels which also had more hairs in them.. The manager addressed my comment about the peeling wallpaper and dirty carpet and acted surprised saying we were in a recently renovated room.. I would hate to see other rooms in this hotel. I have been to many lower end IHG brand hotels and they have much nicer/cleaner rooms than this hotel. I was overall unhappy as this was our anniversary and we had higher expectations. 24 September 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Too much scent I do not know why but this hotel absolutely stinks of perfume or artificial scent. When you walk in lower doors from valet parking it is overwhelming. The smell is the same when walking into the front lobby from Front Street. I am sure somebody thinks this is a good thing but it is far too much. Rooms are nice but being part of Ambassador club I sometimes get an upgrade to bigger room and then pother times I have to ask. As well, water and fruit are not always in room and you have to ask, This time the manager called right up after a survey was offered and filled out when my wife connected to internet. We were very impressed with how quickly the manager reacted. Doubt I would renew Ambassador Club and doubt I would stay at this hotel. 24 September 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Relaxing Weekend The newly renovated rooms are classy and very functional. All the small items like the slippers and robe make for an enjoyable and conformable experience. 24 September 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fourth Stay and Still The Best I have now stayed at this hotel four times for business purposes. I stay at many different hotels within the province of Ontario. I have to say this is the best one!! It is extremely clean, modern and all the details are always taken care of. It is a home away from home for me. Also the location is close to the subway system in Toronto, so you can get anywhere quickly. The trendy restaurant district is just a short walk away. This is a fantastic hotel, you will not be disappointed, whether you are traveling for business or pleasure, this is the place to stay. 20 September 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfy bed and excellent service Checked out of the Intercontinental Toronto Centre on 12 September after a fantastic week in Toronto. This was our first time in Toronto and found this hotel to be in a superb location for tourist attractions. The CN Tower is just round the corner. We visited during TIFF and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Stepping into the Intercontinental was wonderful, beautiful décor in the lobby. Check in was quick and simple. We were allocated a room on the 15th floor and was amazed by the floor to ceiling windows, giving a great view of the street below. We had a king deluxe room, which was an excellent size for the two of us, and the bed was huge and so comfortable! The only downside would probably that we would have preferred a shower cubicle rather than a shower head over the bath, but this was only a minor issue. Our room was serviced each day, and every time we met the ladies in the corridors they were very pleasant and bade us good morning. We booked our trip to Niagara Falls through the Concierge, who was excellent and managed to get us on to the trip for the next day. The door staff were very helpful, willing to give directions if we needed them to a particular place, and bade us a have a good day every morning. All in all this was a particularly good hotel in a particularly good location. Many thanks to all involved. 20 September 2014
