Stayed for the weekend in March 22-24.
Overall the hotel was great with great staff and perfect location.
My one complaint was that I found the beds to be very uncomfortable and way to firm. I was bothered by this so much that I would hestiate to return to this location again. Normally this is not an issue for me, but my wife agreed that the bed was pretty terrible.
Otherwise, everything else was really great.

We have stayed many times at your Toronto location and as usual, it was great again. Right from check-in to check-out. Special mention to our check-in agent Yasjr. Great service.

The hotel is connected to the convention center, that makes attending so easy. The staff is so helpful and professional, rooms are clean with turndown service. You won't want to miss staying at the Executive level if you can.

I was pleased with the hotel except as a Platinum Carm member with American Express and a Black Card Member with Visa
I could not get a late checkout. I was with my 9 year old grandson and I really do not see why I was treated this way. I would like to have checked out later to give my grandson additional time to enjoy Toronto. I feel an accomodation could have been performed under the circiumstances

We really enjoyed the march break stay with our kids! However found it quite dissapointing that threre was a fee of $13.95 for use of Wi-fi. With our jobs we have stayed at many hotels and have never paid for Wi-fi. Also the little trey of $100 value of candy and chips were not logical when there would be little children in the room......we didn't touch it but it prompted a walk into union station for a candy splurge not really needed around dinner time.

We had a very large room over-looking the train station. The beds were not the most comfortable, and considering the size of the room could have easily housed Queen Sized Beds. The glasses in the bathroom were filthy we had to call for clean ones. There was only one chair in the room it would've been more comfortable with 2 chairs or a sofa. My daughter and I did some shopping on the way to the hotel and my son and husband went to check in, unfortunately they would not let them check in because the reservation was in my name (even though we have the same last name and address). We are regular costumers to the Intercontinental and have had exceptional service in the past, this time we left frustrated.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Minnow A Very Comfortable Stay - Impeccable Service
We stayed during March break 2013 for 4 nights and this was the best hotel we stayed at during our trip. Staff were very knowledgeable and most helpful. We really enjoyed the valet service with eager staff to help always. The room was very well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. Excellent location, one block from Union Station subway which serves northbound routes up University Avenue or Yonge. A multitude of restaurant choices and enjoyed their ample breakfast buffet one day. If given the choice, we will stay at the Intercontinental again - hands down. Thanks to the staff and management for the excellent service including the kind gentleman who helped us with our luggage in our room who even got us a bucket of ice, how nice was that?

My husband and I recently stayed at the InterContinental Hotel in Toronto and had a wonderful stay. We were met by friendly and professional staff that could not do enough for us, We were offered an upgrade and the room was very spacious and very comfortable. This was our third visit to the hotel and would strongly recommend it to everyone.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Kate1111111 Excellent Room BUT No Vending Machine.
The room was great and clean. It was very convenient that it was attached to the convention center! A nice view of both the CN Tower and the water.
Our huge problem, which will be the deciding factor for next time was that there were no vending machines! We get back to our hotel and we're dying of thirst. It's 11:30. Everything is closed! We had to walk a couple blocks to pizza pizza (the only thing open) just to get a drink! I know that it's a thing to get people to get room service or the mini bar, but come on! Vending machines are a must.
It was also quite warm in our room. We turned the temperature down to 60, and the air conditioner stayed on all night, but it definitely didn't go down to 60. Weird since it was the winter!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lithic5 Outstanding staff and service
From the beginning of the adventure, dealing with Stephanie in reservations who is a true problem solver, to the end of my stay a week later, I was consistently impressed with the professionalism of your staff. They all truly understand that they are in the hospitality business rather than the rent-a-room business. The staff at the Club Intercontinental are outstanding and exceeded my expectations for friendly, courteous service. Notably, Vera, Charisse and Stephanie made me feel like I was truly at home.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by traveller599 Average, poor value
The room was very expensive, but only average in furnishing, space and amenities. It was reasonably clean, but still had some peeling caulking around tub and peeling paint. Overall, I would consider this at the level of an average Holiday Inn. As for the staff, the desk clerk was courteous, but not really welcoming and positively uninformative when I asked for directions or city information. He only provided a vague answer and showed no interest in helping me. To be fair, nice exercise area (small, but then nobody was down there) with expensive equipment and and elegant pool.
This is the first time I staying at an Intercontinental, and the first time I have written a review, and I would suggest you consider another hotel if you are looking for a great experience or superb furnishing and opulence. Although I have no specific complaints, I will not be staying here again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JJKG The hotel to stay in toronto
I love the IC in Toronto the staff are wonderful the food is excellent, and the location is very convenient. My family recently had a terrible family illness, the staff from the front desk, to the bell captains, to the valet staff went out of their way to help us, I will never forget their kindness, and I will never stay anywhere else in Toronto but The Intercontinental.

I stayed on a Sunday night and was offered a free upgrade, which was awesome. The facilities were spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. Quiet room on 18th floor with great views across the city. My colleague on another floor had to make a complaint about noise from the floor above (but staff dealt with it promptly). Overall an enjoyable stay and I would recommend the hotel and would return myself.

Just want to say I had a great time at the Intercontinental. My Family and I stayed on the Club Floor, and it was a great experience. Stayed at the competitors properties and Intercontinental blows them away. Thank you for a great family weekend. Can't wait to stay there again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sterling5683 Good value, great location!
I have stayed at this property several times and it's my favourite hotel downtown in Toronto when on a budget. Rooms are clean and modern, beds are amazingly comfortable and often you get a decent view of the CN Tower or the lake.
I find the room price/value to be great, but paying $45 to valet my car is a bit crazy and next time I will park myself somewhere. Staff are super nice and friendly, from the doorman at the front, to the smiling faces at check in. Drop by the concierge desk, they aim to please and have great knowledge of the city and places to eat.
Prices in Azure lounge are a bit astronomical, but the food is excellent. Is the club sandwich worth $20... maybe not, but it is pretty darn good. It's a bit too expensive to drink there unless you're on the company dime, which I suppose many guests are since the hotel is attached to the convention centre.
Overall a great choice for downtown Toronto - you can't go wrong!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Heather4 AWESOME bed and Great amenities
Our family of 4 came to stay on the Sunday of Family Day weekend.
We booked 2 adjoining rooms on the 8th floor and spent a very enjoyable 24 hours with you.
The staff at the desk on the 8th floor were helpful, courteous and very friendly.
The addition of the Keurig in the room was awesome but it was almost hard to decide between the coffee down the hall AND in the room!
The beds were WOW oh so comfortable, the robes and slippers were a welcome addition on our way to the pool.
All food items were delicious, and we have a fantastic relaxing time.
The hotel was very quiet during the sleeping hours and were enjoyed ourselves immensely!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Excellent Room and Great Staff
This was our second visit to the Intercontinental Toronto Center in a week and both stays were very enjoyable. The hotel manager gave us an unexpected upgrade during our second visit and the room was exceptional, and the ammenities made the stay about as perfect as it could have possibly been. I have stayed at IC Hotels in Canada and Florida (total visits >30) and have never had a less than satisfactory experience. The staff is always going out of their way to assist, and the rooms are always nicely appointed and spotless.

Very friendly and efficient staff at check-in. Our assigned room had not been cleaned so we called the front desk. Quick apology and resolution. Upgraded to Club level room to make up for the glitch which was very much appreciated. Staff on Club Level were friendly and helpful as well. Lovely room with comfortable bed and fine linens. Excellent location to attend the Car Show at the convention centre and easy walk to good restaurants.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MTosh Very pleasant stay in a previously unknown hotel
I had never stayed at this hotel in Toronto before, nor at any other Intercontinental before, but will now consider these hotels in the future.
Very efficient check-in, where upon stating my last name, I was immediately welcomed by my first name. At booking, I chose the optional $10 upgrade should such a room become available at check-in, which it did. The resulting room with 2 doubles plus a couch was very comfortable, and featured the largest picture windows (floor to ceiling) I can recall from my relatively modest travelling experience. Great for sitting on the couch and having a huge view of downtown Toronto.
The location was perfect for easy access to the adjoing Convention Centre, across the street from the CBC Building, and just a short walk from Union Station.
I opted for the breakfast package, which included an excellent buffet in the lobby restaurant.
My only small complaint was the fact the bathroom hairdryer was in a bag on a shelf, rather that on a more convenient wall bracket for easy access. Perhaps a hairdryer-in-a-bag is considered classier, but it's not as user friendly.
Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this hotel, and would consider staying either here again in Toronto or at another Continental property.

We were booked in a different hotel (a boutique hotel) for two nights and left for this hotel when we saw that there were available rooms. It was a hassle to move but well worth the effort. This hotel was very accommodating from an early check-in to a late check-out. Rooms were bright, inviting and a decent size.

Stayed for 2 nights on the club floor with my wife and daughter.
The room was large and comfortable. We enjoyed the club lounge. It had a wide variety of drinks and snacks. We used the pool twice. Pool room was nice and bright and clean. The club floor we were on was also very quiet. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Intercontinental in downtown Toronto is a great place to get away for a night! We've booked the Romance Package a couple of times, and have nothing bad to say! Staff is amazing, food is INCREDIBLE, service is great, and the location is perfect if you want to walk around downtown, either to shopping, the lake, CN Tower, etc. We'll stay here anytime we want a special night away!

We were in town for the Lady Gaga concert at the ACC so the IC Toronto Centre is really the only logical choice. Close to the venue, awesome staff and superb accomodations. Unfortunately, this was the weekend for the biggest snowfall in Toronto in many years. The roads were a disaster so it was nice to be able to walk to the concert almost completely indoors. I have stayed at this hotel many times and have never been disappointed. Staff and concierge are very knowledgeble and helpful.

My stay at the Intercontinental was enjoyable. Bed was comfortable. Room & washroom were clean. Staff were helpful in answering my inquiries. The doorman even offered to help me by coming to get me from the lobby when the Airport Shuttle arrived instead of me having to wait outside. I appreciated that.
