Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect Getaway We came to the Willard as we needed a little escape from our daily grind. WE LOVE this hotel. The Round Robin Bar is our absolute favorite. Nothing is more relaxing than spending an evening at this historical, beautiful, bar. All of the bartenders are fabulous and attentive. Service throughout the entire hotel is exemplary The hotel is also in walking distance of many attractions. I'm sure we'll be back very soon. 07 November 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Elegant Historic Hotel Sensitively Modernized The Willard has a long history interrupted by periodic episodes of financial disaster. IHC has brought this historic treasure back to life as a modern, high class hotel while retaining a sense of timeless elegance. Modern amenities like the fitness center and internet access were up to par. The only minor deficiency for this hotel for a business traveler is the relatively small number of convenient electrical outlets in the room. It always pays to pack extension devices anyway, but built in outlets are better. 06 November 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Hotel and Great Location, but noise factor woke us up at least 10 times throughout night As an Intercontinental member we found the hotel very nice and our room was lovely. Big disappointment and downfall was because our room was beside lifts and had marble floors outside, we were woken up at least 10 times throughout the night (if not more) with trolleys being noisily rolled across the marble floors and as the health spa was also located on the same floor we were also woken up by the clicking of every high heel shoe that walked across the marble floor . I am sure that we could not have been the first to advise the hotel, though reception looked surprised that this was the case???? We had been travelling for 20 days and if we had the energy to pack up our Suitcases and be relocated into another room we would have. We would stay at this hotel again as location was great and very comfortable, but we would absolutely refuse to be placed in the same room again. 03 November 2014

Great location, great staff, very accommodating front desk staff as well as restaurant and room service personnel. So glad we picked The Willard as our hotel; staying in a historical facility made our experience of the rich history all the better. Only slightly disappointed in daily room cleaning. We had to call and request clean wine glasses each day. One day only the bed was made. Bathroom was not refreshed and waste cans were not emptied. 28 October 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful hotel, friendly staff The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the staff were extremely friendly. Excellent location close to all tourist attractions, museums, monuments and the White House. Room was beautiful, bed was way too soft and a little worn for optimum comfort. The door to the adjoining room was right next to the bed and we could clearly hear the conversations of the guest in that room which made us whisper a lot, also the light from their room was visible around the door. We were charged for several drinks from the minibar that we did not use, so be careful if you touch anything in there. Overall thought it was a wonderful, beautiful hotel and we enjoyed our stay and would probably stay there again, just request a different type room. 22 October 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fabulous overall experience This was my second stay at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel in Washington D.C. and I cannot rave enough about this hotel. From the comfort of the room's furnishings, bedding and size to the incredible service, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff this hotel truly enhanced our trip. The concierge was of great help both is making tour reservations and in helping us to choose destinations in a geographically logical manner. The buffet breakfasts were the best I have ever experienced in a hotel and the dinner we had at the Le Cafe Parc was delicious. Overall I feel that both years our trip to Washington D.C. was truly enhanced by staying at the Willard. 20 October 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Stay in DC Ever I have severe allergies so it is very hard to find a hotel that can clean my room without the chemical smells or perfume smells making me sick. This Hotel was Fantastic! First time I have ever entered a room cleaned for my needs and had not one issue. I was allergy free and slept soundly the entire three nights. Cannot say enough about the housekeeping staff and their ability to give me an allergy free stay. Wonderful job!! The concierge was so helpful with dinner plans, tour bookings and teaching me and my mother how to use a subway. Loving the metro now. They were wonderful to deal with. Best concierge service I have had in many many years. The only negative thing I can say is the breakfast buffet is way over priced however the food was excellent and the selection large. I wont stay anywhere else when I come back to DC and because of this hotel I am already planning a visit again next year. 18 October 2014
