Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Historic Hotel A beautiful old historic hotel - if you want gleaming and new this might not be the place for you. Our room was large and clean, our bed was very comfortable, our linens were soft but the room is historic. Our bathroom floor tiles were very loose and a bit uneven to walk on, the windows hardly soundproof the room - we were on the 6th floor and on the side on the building but heard every single car drive by. The cafe was the only place to have breakfast, and although the buffet or menu were sufficient and the food quality adequate, it is just too small for the size of the hotel. A 30 minute wait just for a table for breakfast at a 5 star hotel is completely unacceptable. We also didn't appreciate that lunch service ended at 2:00 and their light bites menu was completely unappealing - 3:00 is an appropriate time to end lunch service. I also feel that $50 a night to park is too much - I pay less in Manhattan and DC is not Manhattan. The location can't be beat! 16 April 2015
