The most memorable experience of my 3 day / 2 nights stay at the Intercontinental Wellington was the consistent friendliness of all staff across the board and their very obvious focus on the customer. This made me feel very welcome and my custom appreciated. The only inconsistency in my overall experience was the in-room mini bar. It was stocked in some strangely unbalanced choice of items. A minor detail, really, however, noticeable nevertheless in a 5 star hotel.

The IC is in a great position close to the harbour and the many lovely shops and dining options along the waterfront.
The hotel is very smart, comfortable with very good staff. We were a small group of colleagues enjoying a few days holiday before the start of our conference. One of us had registered with club intercontinental and could take one person to share in the beaut view from the top floor -food was great too.
Beds are really comfortable and the air con is whisper quiet.
Our only concerns were the fact that the hotel is under refurbishment. We had been sent an email that work would only occur during business hours and would not affect where we were. However I was woken up by drilling in what felt like the room above me at 7.30 each day-not what I would call business hours. Also our room was opposite the housekeeping room and at 8am after I had tried tol lie back in bed, could hear very loud chatter outside my room. This was not what I expected but was on holiday and everything else was really lovely.
Our room was 702- the higher rooms have a nicer view or glimpse of the harbour. I'd go here again but would ask for a room not disturbed by the renovations.

Great stay with convenient location. The room was comfortable, clean and had nice views of the harbor. I would recommend this hotel.

We found the beds particularly comfortable, and we liked the free bottles of water given at night time.

What a fabulous weekend we had in Wellington! Very, very impressed with the location and standard of the hotel - we certainly got what we paid for - and more!! The only criticism I had was the beds were only doubles and just too small for two adults to sleep comfortably - other than that - PERFECT!

Great hotel, unbeatable location. The concierge was extremely helpful, went to a Football game at Westpac All whites vs Mexico and couldnt be happier, expensive hotel but worth the money

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by FengY best experience wth IC wellington yet
3rd stay with IC wellington.
After my previous 2 relatively average stays, this trip was great.
Not sure if it was my feedback but I got stay in one of the suites.
I was pleasantly escorted to my room by one of the concierges and was also greeted with some complimentary beers and fruit. (Nice touch. Both thumbs up)
My colleague also managed to get comp breakfast so we both gained some weight over the course of the week :-)
Could not hear any construction noise this time. So it was great (not sure if it was because there was no construction or I was just further away from it)
Some other positive notes
Prompt welcome by staff on arrive
Personalised concierge service
Duty managers putting up with my late night gym workouts
Room for improvement
That pink/salmon couch in the suite is a horrible horrible colour
The dryer in the laundry is still broken after 3 months.
Safety certification in the lifts appears to have expired about a year ago.
