Cozumel is one of many places in the Yucatan Peninsula where you might hear locals speaking Mayan rather than Spanish. If you would like an introductory lesson on this ancient language, the Concierge can arrange it.
The taxi fares depend on where you are going, however, we suggest you always ask for the cost of the journey before getting into a taxi.

The Mayans considered Cozumel sacred to Ixchel, the Mayan moon goddess, and the island was a place of pilgrimage, particularly for women in search of fertility. At the sites of ancient temples, archaeologists often uncover the small dolls that were once offered in sacrifice as part of the fertility rituals.
If you want to enjoy a first-class experience, we provide as one of our additional services private airport pick up and drop off services.
Cozumel Island is known for the best diving in the western hemisphere. What many do not know is Cozumel is also a major nesting ground for the loggerhead and the hawksbill sea turtles. These amazing creatures nest primarily on the south side of the island. If you are on the island between May and October, you can witness this amazing experience as you walk through the beaches accompanied by a biologist, while experiencing the behavior of the marine turtle first hand. Every year, thousands of sea turtles arrive on Cozumel's eastern coast in order to lay their eggs. A sanctuary is in operation to protect the nests of this endangered species. The island also has one of the world's most beautiful coral reefs.
Cozumel is a very safe place. You can walk around late at night without worrying about your security.
Cozumel is the largest Island of Mexico. We are located in the Caribbean so bring light clothes and the most important don’t forget your swim suit. Bring a light sweater for evenings.
For your convenience, you will find a biodegradable repellent in your room. In this rainy season We highly recommend the use of repellents throughout your stay, particularly during the rainy season. Please use it at all times even when on the beach (apply more from 6 am to 8 am and 6 pm to 8 pm).
US dollars are accepted at most places on the island, but sometimes it can be hard to get your change back in the same currency. If you are bringing dollars, bring plenty in low-denomination bills. The Front Desk is available for currency exchange.
