Take a morning stroll down to the nearby Zocalo of our Colonial and Historical town, watch the world go by and enjoy a rich blend of aromatic coffee from the northern hills of Cuetzalan. From here, a short walk takes you to El Parian, where you can purchase original crafts from the region. Puebla is also famous for its Talavera ceramics. In our beatutiful historical downtown you will find some factories around, where you can watch craftsmen transforming dull slabs of clay into works of art using ancient techniques that have prevailed throughout the centuries.
Located near the twin volcanic peaks of Iztaccihuatl and Popocatepetl, the enigmatic Cholula, which literally translated means "Place of those who fled", is a millennial city (the oldest city in America that has been inhabited all the time) and now is home of many small restaurants and craft shops. After taking a stroll and enjoying a drink in the fresh air, make your way to the great pyramid of Tlalchihualtepetl (The handmade hill), which is the world's largest pyramid by volume, explore its inner tunnels and murals, and finish your visit climbing up to the top of the pyramid, to discover the beauty of the Nuestra Senora de los Remedios church, from where you will get the most stunning view of the volcanoes. A landscape to remember!
Home to an eclectic mix of some of the city's finest restaurants, Juarez Avenue is one of the most important streets of Puebla. Amid of restaurants, coffee houses and places serving dishes from Italy, Argentina, Brazil and all over the world is the Mexican bar Los Remedios, a vibrant mix of colors, sounds and taste with its mariachis, tequilas and fine Mexican food is an integral part of what Puebla and Mexico are all about. The bar is situated just 10 minutes from the hotel, so while leaving La Cantina might prove difficult, getting back to the hotel won't. If party is not in your itinerary, then you should visit the Centro Civico 5 de Mayo or "Los Fuertes", as the locals like to call to this historical place where this famous battle took part and that is now a modern and beautiful meeting point where you will find "La Mantarraya" (the stingray), which is a park with an astonishing viewpoint to the city, and where you will admire all the jewels of our city at once. A picture to remember!
