After breakfast at the hotel restaurant take a trip to secound highest point in the Kingdom Al Shafa Mountain and enjoy the fantastic fresh, cool mountain air. It's the heart of the agricultural area, full of fruit trees. If it's springtime the masses of deep red roses will literally colour the landscape. If you're feeling adventurous and appreciate a challenge, try a camel and horse ride. Then back to town for lunch at Ahllan Washlan or the modern Turkish restaurant would be a good choice, as you can eat and enjoy the impressive views over the city.
In the afternoon visit Al-Hada Mountain which is 1700 meters above from the sea level, there's a cable car to take you from top to bottom which is around 9 km both way. There's a funfair at the lower terminus with different rides and amusements. Next, 110 years old Shubra Palace, it's being converted into a museum, but the exterior is worth seeing and it is pleasant to stroll in the grounds and enjoy a coffee.
A visit to the old colourful souks is a visit back in time. Rugs, camel-hair blankets, fabrics and sheepskins surround you. The aroma of unknown herbs, teas and spices greets you. Traders vie for your attention. Food stalls are piled high with pomegranates, quartered watermelons, or boxes of limes and oranges. Then there are the antiques: muskets, daggers, jewellery shops gold or silver. Don't forget to bargain hard, it's expected. After that you will have earned dinner at one of the best restaurants in town. Try Romanah the Lebanese eatery in Shihar Street.

Amiable Taif is part of the Arabian Peninsula's ancient and modern history, playing a prominent role before and after Islam. Taif has long been known for its fresh air, fertile soil, fruits and honey - highly appreciated when given as gifts. It contains archeological monuments dating back to more then 2000 years, recording some glimpses of Arab history. Taif has for a long time been a summer resort for nearby cities. From a resort for the inhabitants of Makkah, it has developed into the main resort city in the Arabian peninsula, attracting tens of thousands of visitors from inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and internationally as well. We hope that all visitors will enjoy their trip to Taif.
