Start your day with a perfect power breakfast at the Hotel's alpine Brasserie, Capricorn. From its terrace, a scenic path leads down to Davos beautiful natural lake. Take a long walk, feed the ducks and swans or stop to watch the quite curious little squirrels in the neighbouring Seehornwald woods. Hit the city around Davos Platz and have a look at Ernst Ludwig Kirchner's beautiful paintings of Davos. The German avant-garde painter of the famous artist club "Die Brücke" came Davos for convalescence marked by the First World War. The Kirchner Museum is dedicated to his impressive art and the 20 years he spent in the Davos Alps.
Stop for a light lunch at Kaffee Klatsch, which has established itself as one of Davos must-sees and offers delicious coffee creations and homemade delicacies just off Promenade street. Afterwards put your hiking boots on and take the Schatzalpbahn to the famous setting of "The Magic Mountain", a book written by German novelist Thomas Mann. Do not forget to see the "Alpinum", a beautifully arranged botanical garden, when you reach the top. On your way back try some local produce specialties at "Bündner Land Davos". These are also perfect as souvenirs from Graubünden.
Begin a promising evening with an aperitif in Davos new Hotspot, Studio Grigio, a bar and fine-dining restaurant with panoramic mountain views on the 10th floor on top of the hotel. Let a romantic horse sleigh ride whizz you away through Davos winter wonderland and the fantastic scenery of its neighbouring Dischma valley. Let your perfect day finish at the local Teufi Restaurant, famous for its Swiss cheese fondue and set in a traditional "Walserhaus", a historic block house.

The Parsenn Derby is Switzerlands most traditional ski race of approximately 13 km and has taken place since 1924 with the most famous winners being Swiss Worldcup race winners Martina Accola and Urs Lehmann.
First Ski Lift
The first T-bar ski lift in the world was put into operation at the foot of Jakobshorn in Davos, Bolgen 1934.
The famous "Spengler Cup" in Davos is the oldest international ice hockey tournament in the world and brings many professionals and their fans to town between Christmas and New Year. It is hosted by the local hockey team HC Davos in the Vaillant Arena.
World Economic Forum
As an important congress centre, the alpine city becomes a global player once a year during the World Economic Forum when world ranked politicians and the economic elite come to Davos.

Due to the high altitude of Davos the weather can change rather quickly. Bring warm clothes as there is a chance of snow year-round.

From Zurich Kloten Airport, head southwest, 450 m and continue straight onto Butzenbüelrin. Merge onto A51 via the ramp to A1/Bern/Saint Gallen/Zürich/Basel/E60. At the interchange 63-Zürich-Nord, keep left and follow signs for E41/E60/A1/A4 toward Zürich-City/St.Gallen/Schaffhausen. At the interchange 66-Brüttisellen, keep right and follow signs for A53 toward Chur/Rapperswil/Uster/Wangen. Always continue on A3 to Chur, merge onto A13 and take exit 14-Landquart toward Davos. After having passed Davos lake on your left, take a left into Fluelastrasse and take immediately a left into Baslerstrasse.
