    Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent room design The whole experience was excellent specially the staff but airconditioning was poor at the first two days. We complained this two times the second technichan fixed it but the first one did nothing. One more minor finding: the pillow smell was not good. Finally: i would appreciate adding Quran channel in your TV list. Also adding breakfast for SABIC rate will make it very attractive. Thank you July 28, 2015
    Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Wait until HOTWATER system is fixed! Cheap MDF smell Everywhere This is my worst IHG experience for years. First, as this is a soft opening, no taxi driver knows this hotel, GPS maps bring them to Marina Walk, there is a swimming involved unless you realise it is around the lagoon. Who came up with the idea of these cheap MDF boards everywhere, particularly in lifts the formaldehyde smell is BAD, and the boards started chipping away already. The pastel colour scheme is nowhere near an inspiring or morale boosting selection of dull greys. This was the first Intercontinental I was not given Club Lounge access, as "the lounge is designed too small for 20 people, we have a lot of rooms with access privilege, it is closed during Ramadan/Eid" were excuses in a hotel with low occupancy rate. Come on, be real!. My wife arrived about 90 minutes before me and requested access to the room, she gave booking details, she had shopping bags in hand, she was refused, and told to sit in Lobby and WAIT for the person who did the booking! They apologised on my arrival. Then we found out the biggest problem, hot water system is not balanced and not functioning well, we waited for a good 20 minutes for hot water to arrive in the shower, we called the housekeeping, who sent an engineer, and that's when we learned it may take more than 30 minutes, longer in the mornings as the system is not functioning well. Next morning when I complained, they offered to change us to another room across the corridor, where we were told by Guest Services Assistant Managers (do you want names?) that it is not an issue there, oh NO, same problem next morning. I can take cold showers, my wife refused, she showered in the Gym! When I requested Lounge access as Ambassador/Platinum/Spire whatever, I was told we could have our breakfasts in the Accent restaurant with complements of the hotel, on the checkout we were charged for the second day though. NO time for arguments as we had a flight to carch. I was using my Ambassador Free Weekend for this, what a waste! I will not come back to this hotel that fast, I prefer other IHG properties where I am actually respected. July 22, 2015
    Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by New hotel...More room to improve. stayed in a club Deluxe Marina room. Specious room, nice view. comfortable bed. morning breakfast was not so good. not much of a choice...expected a wow breakfast to start the day. only at the check-out got to know that it was "continental" breakfast, instead full buffet b'fast. if i knew at the check-in, i would have chose in-room dining instead. staffs were very friendly and helpful. overall...needs improvement.
