    Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Fantastic Hotel We stayed at the Intercontinental Barclay for 4 nights from 20th-24th Feb 2014. We booked a standard room but had the option to upgrade to a 1 bed King Executive for $43 per night. This was well worth the upgrade, the room was huge with its own lounge, art deco fire place and plush furnishings, a huge kingsize bed with such a big comfy mattress, and views overlooking Park Avenue from both rooms. The housekeeping is to a very high standard with replenishment of bathroom toiletries. We enjoyed the complimentary roasted coffee every morning too and when relaxing watched our large flat screen TVs (one in each room if tastes differed !). The Hotel is ideally suited to get around to Upper Manhattan, Fifth Avenue, Central Park and Times Square with a few blocks down to the Empire State Building, Macys, Grand Central. We had drinks in the bar one night and enjoyed first class waiter service. This Hotel provides a first class experience at a good price and I would go back in a heartbeat. 27 de febrero de 2014
    Rated 2,0 out of 5,0 by turn off the heat! Stayed at the Barclay the weekend of 1/31/14. Due to Super Bowl, hotel was very busy, but caused no inconvenience. My problem was the Gym. It was ridiculously hot, I'm guessing 85 degrees plus. And humid. And full of the smell of everyone who went before us. As a heart attack survivor, and my wife a fitness trainer, a hotel's gym is a very important amenity. Unfortunately the heat raised my heart rate so much, I couldn't even do a slow jog before my pulse went too high. We complained, were told that it was probably just a glitch, and maintenance would take care of it. We returned to the Barclay the weekend of 2/21/14. And had the same problem, when we complained, we were told that they hadn't heard about any problems previously, or on that weekend. Otherwise a good hotel, but not going back! 26 de febrero de 2014
    Rated 3,0 out of 5,0 by Good hotel, though not one that lives to its brand I arrived at the Barclay swinging into Manhattan on a very short last minute business trip. I was taken back by the beautiful lobby. When I checked in, the front desk were very kind. The restaurant downstairs offered delicious food though at a considerable mark up. Great food but would I say it was worth every cent... Probably not. When I arrived at my room at it was a bit small, but it's expected of New York. Every square foot is precious. I noticed the wall paper was peeling off the wall at the edges of the entry way. I spoke with a maintenance personnel in the hall way and he told me to speak to the front desk. I never followed through, I was tied up with business for the duration of the trip. I purchased internet and had difficulty linking my other devices with it. The process in which you link your devices appears as though you are repurchasing the internet for each device. Every time I called instant service to inquire on how to link my devices I was transferred numerous times until I was taken to a managers voicemail ail. I finally called a third time in which a n attendant told me to finally sign throughout the purchased process again, and that it was just the way you linked multiple devices but not actually purchased the service multiple times. Though my trip was short the concierge and waiter at the restaurant were superb. I would possibly consider the Barclay again for my trip back to NYC, which will be a few more times this year alone. 26 de febrero de 2014
