INFORMACION ÚTIL

CULTURA LOCAL

Gotta Date?

New York City taxis cannot be reserved in advance, they must be hailed. Worried you will not make that appointment or flight? Don't be! Come and see your Concierge and we can set up a private car service for you. Also, remember that a taxi from Manhattan to JFK should cost $77 each way (including tolls and gratuity you should never pay over $85). Also, beware of dark unmarked vehicles trying to solicit car service. Unless previously arranged, do not use luxury Sedans for transportation. Be safe and stick to New York City Yellow cabs.

Is that a rumble in your tummy?

As a rule, New Yorkers rarely eat at home (have you seen the real estate here??), so as a consequence, many famous restaurants are often booked months in advance. Contact your Concierge when planning your trip to the City so that we may help make everything perfect. Last minute trip? No problem. There are thousands of great and exciting places to eat in the city. Just come see us and we will be more than happy to help you satisfy your palate.

Show me the Money!

New York is a tipping City and so it is customary to tip all service providers. Not tipping indicates you received poor service so do not forget to have your dollar bills ready.

Hello Mother Nature??

New York weather, like the City itself, can be extreme and temperamental. It is not uncommon to be sweltering one day and need a coat or sweater the next. Did not pack the right items? No worries, it is just an excuse to do some shopping!

Don't believe the hype

Contrary to popular belief, New Yorkers are friendly and helpful. We may seem abrupt at times since the City is incredibly fast-paced, but please do not be intimidated and mistake urgency for coldness. Give it a try and ask a local for assistance and you will see.

¿SABÍA QUÉ? ?

Staten Island Ferry

It would cost the City of New York more money to charge a fee for the Staten Island Ferry than to offer it for free! Lucky us!

Hells Kitchen

Our very own turf has also been home to the talents of James Dean, Jerry Seinfeld, Larry David, Alicia Keys, Madonna and Sylvester Stallone.

Want more?

Because of our unrivalled local knowledge we can help you make the moments that will create your experience! So please come and speak to any of the Concierge team about what we can do to make sure you get the most from your trip.

QUÉ METER EN LA MALETA

These "shoes" were made for walking...

New York is a fashion capital but don't forget to pack comfortable shoes because with so many places to visit and discover, your feet will be begging for some TLC and it will not matter what shoes you wear! Ask your Concierge for the best local pedicure spots.

A murse? Purse? Backpack? Messenger? So many choices!

With so much to do, you may find yourself carrying a number of maps, brochures, schedules and magazines and no where to keep them. We suggest that you bring a lightweight, medium sized bag of your preference, to help keep everything in order.

Jacket or no Jacket?

With all the different wonderful restaurants in the city you may find yourself wondering about appropriate attire; no worries, your Concierge is in the know but remember Gentlemen, most flagship restaurants in the City prefer or require jackets.
