Nice but old

The room 1311 on the 13th floor was spacious and airy. Very nice bed. Nice balcony overlooking the expansive bay with a gorgeous view.

The room and furniture were old and outdated. The shower's warm and cold water knobs to reach the right temperature were hard to adjust. Must have been from the 1960s. The blinds were heavy to lift and open.

The Ambassador member room upgrade to the suite was highly appreciated. The late checkout was also great and very helpful.

Service was great. Very attentive staff members which made the stay very pleasant.

Great service and amazing location

Everytime that i have to visit Panama, i choose this hotel for several reason: 1: Location, it has a great view of Panama, 2. The excellent service that they do and 3. The great service that Miss Campbell and her staff do in all my stays.
110% recommend this hotel

Nice hotel for 20 years ago. It is remarkable outdated. Well located and with excellent potential if should be refurbished. WiFi service in floor 22 was unsatisfactory.

Wonderful Location and View

We were traveling as part of a Caravan Tours Group and needed an additional night based on our flight schedule. Arranged that online, working with the Chief Concierge. She was extremely helpful in making that arrangement. All the hotel personnel from the dinning room, front desk, etc. were very pleasant and helpful.

We had a problem and needed to change our return flights and cancel several reservations. Again, we worked with Lara, the Chief Concierge and she was fantastic. She spent all the time necessary to accomplish what we had to get done and did it pleasantly and efficiently. We could not have accomplished this on our own.

My stay was dictated my the company I work for. Having said that I believe this property would make an excellent choice when staying in the greater Panama city area. The only difficulty I can relate to is the traffic is horrible, but this is to be expected in a large city.

Great 5 star experience!

Great location, rooms and executive club experience - staff all very attentive and friendly especially the concierge, Lara, who was very helpful in giving us information on Panama City and arranged a couple of great tours. The Executive Club staff were also very welcoming and efficient - Yairis and Pablo are a great team.

Father/Son Holiday

To read that anyone experienced a less than "excellent" stay at this property truly surprises me. My son and I spent a week at the Miramar intercontinental and experienced nothing less than excellence in service.
Lara, the concierge is by far the best-in-class. As a Royal Ambassador who spends many nights in many IHG properties around the world, I can proclaim without reservation that I am honored to have met her and am so very appreciative of her help in making this the best father/son trip ever! As well, her recommendation of Steve F. as a tour guide and driver was spot-on. He is very knowledgeable of local history, very friendly, funny and did not take advantage of us as tourists. He is a true gentleman and an excellent guide.
Our experience in the restaurant was great! Breakfast was very good and there was plenty of food available (at 0930). I was surprised to read the review whereas a guest couldn't access the buffet's food. The service was very good as well.
The Club Lounge was...ok. The food was not very tasty and in fact we decided not to return in the days following our first visit on our first night there. The Lounge could definitely use an upgrade in service and food/beverage. We encountered the same experience during our first, and only morning visit.
The front desk and bellmen were great! Our time there was great! and I would definitely recommend this property for anyone visiting Panama City.
Lastly, I highly recommend that you contacgt Lara before and during your stay should you desire the best advice for enjoying your stay. She is awesome!! And don't forget to request Steve as your driver. Skip the cabs!!

Food and wait staff were amazing!

In Panama, good customer service is very hard to find. The waitstaff at Intercontinental were at the top of their game! The room was nice, the view of panama city was amazing. I had some issues with cleaning services forgetting some major things after they cleaned but one phone call down stairs and someone was sent right up. I would recommend to anyone who is in the Panama City area.
