Mark Hopkins conserva su esplendor desde su inauguración en 1926. Está situado en el cruce de tres líneas de teleférico y a escasos minutos de Union Square.     Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Dissapointing! After a long drive from Monterey we were looking forward to some pampering. Unfortunately I was welcomed with a barrage of excuses and lack of intent to help by the trainee checking us in. I had requested for a roll away bed for my 8 year old son to be available beforehand and instead I was told that there were none available in the hotel. My jaw dropped! Took the manager's details (who was apparently standing right next to the person helping me and could hear my pleas and did nothing) and thought I'd come sort it later. To my surprise the room was so tiny it could barely fit the queen size bed and our luggage! At that point I was tired, frustrated and appalled. Went straight down to the manager and expressed my dissatisfaction with the service so far being a IHG Platinum member. They managed to magically find a roll away bed, which was sent to the room and effectively took away the remaining walking space. For an allegedly reputable hotel, that could have been sorted from the start without the heartache, but not in this hotel with the pretentious attitude. Not to mention the insane parking rates there and in the city in general. Not sure if I'll be back... August 29, 2015
    Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect stay in beautiful world class hotel This was one of the best hotels stays of my entire life. I was traveling with my five-year-old daughter. I asked for the highest room possible because I had read some reviews about street noise. I don't know what people are talking about in the negative reviews because even with our window open there was virtually no noise. I had read reviews were people say the hotel is in need of an update. The rooms were absolutely gorgeous and beautiful. Sure, they are not all modern decorating style but they are beautifully and stylistically appointed in keeping with the historic nature of the hotel. I called down to housekeeping to ask for a plastic bag to put some sandy clothes in. Typically, such requests in most hotels take about 15 to 20 minutes. They were at my door pretty much immediately with two plastic bags. The breakfast buffet was delicious. I wish I would've done the Sunday brunch because it is at the top of the Mark. We went in to look around. The food looked absolutely amazing. I was debating between this and another hotel. The price of this hotel was reasonable considering it is a famous landmark. I can say absolutely nothing negative about my stay here. August 27, 2015
    Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Prompt and friendly service This hotel looked impressive at arrival and we were very glad of the valet parking. It had an overall relaxed and friendly atmosphere and the door staff remembered us each day and made relevant conversation. Service was also prompt and reliable. The guest room was very clean and comfortable. The only slight down side was that the room sometimes became too hot (especially at night) as the air conditioning seemed to switch itself off at times of inactivity. We did not use the restaurant as this did seem quite expensive. The Top of the Mark offered fabulous views, but the menu seemed to mainly offer fish (not a favorite of our family). August 25, 2015
