Was in town to visit family and to see a Jim Brickman concert. Chose the holiday inn due to its location downtown near the Eastman Theater. Hotel had several large groups attending which they handled
with ease. Special thanks to the front desk clerk who worked the night of 4/29 and helped out my fiancé when she got sick from food earlier in the day, they brought up a coke and some ice in the middle of the night for her since they didn't have pepto bismol for sale.
Hotel hallway lighting was dim, Hotel parking lot used for monthly parking during the day and at night no attendant was watching and I could've parked for free. Now I see why the charge was only $4 for parking, it's an open lot at night. Not much selection in lobby store other than snack food, no sundries. Desk clerk at check-in did not offer me a choice between snack or points. If they didn't have that trail mix that IHG offers as a snack, I should've been asked if I wanted an item from the store area. I did receive the points though after noticing it on my account. Lobby bar's kitchen was closed prior to 11pm closing time, so we weren't able to get food after our concert we attended. Just a few small things to fix to live up to the Holiday Inn brand, which the hotel picked up recently. I would stay here again if I had business in downtown, next time I'm probably staying at one of the outlying IHG brands in Rochester [Less]
