I had to make a rush booking for a venue near Dartford and as an IHG member I chose this hotel. Its proximity to the Dartford crossing made it ideal and it was five minutes from my meeting venue the[More]
I was warmly welcomed by the reception staff, who explained all timings etc for breakfast, took my car details and welcomed me with my points update.
I went to my room which was spacious and clean. There was a choice of firm or soft pillows (labelled) which was a great idea.
I had work to complete so I settled in to the bar/lounge area with my laptop and a glass of red...no problem with internet/wifi access.
It was quite cool in the lounge (air con), and there was a sign apologising for slow meal service however I didn't eat so I didn't care!!
After I had finished I retired to my room and settled down in my comfy bed for a good nights sleep undisturbed by the steady traffic outside.... [Less]
My stay at this hotel was comfortable and what I expected. I think it is expensive for what it is but accept it is London prices. The room was clean and had all that I needed. I would have liked a[More]
bath in the bathroom so it's worth requesting if you want one and not just a shower. The only issue I had with the hotel was the speed and quality of service at breakfast. It was extremely busy and there were simply not enough staff on duty to handle this. We had to ask for tea / coffee at our table 4 times one morning and there were long queues for hot food. This could have been overcome by having another station for hot food - there was one but it wasn't up and running. Other than that it was a really enjoyable stay and I will probably choose to stay again for the same conference next year. [Less]
Overall, a fantastic property with excellent staff and a location that can't be beaten.
Only hiccup we found was the signature restaurant being closed on a Sunday was a bit disappointing; bearing in[More]
mind the lack of other options at this property when faced with this.
"Closed on Sunday" is a very British tradition, granted, but not a very "Intercontinental" thing to do - in my opinion.
No real harm done, and would still highly recommend this property.
