Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent hotel for business and personal travel I've had the opportunity to stay at the Staybridge quite a few times this year for business and personal reasons. The staff is consistently welcoming and friendly. I like the rooms because of the home like atmosphere and full kitchen. This hotel is always my first choice when I visit San Diego. My dogs love staying here and going for walks on the grounds as well! 17 December 2014

As always, the rooms are like being at home which is very nice at the end of a long day! Special thanks to Maruja, Christine, Ana and the housekeeping staff. Also, the food service in the evenings is great! Breakfast is good too with a wide variety of selections. Always my first choice in San Diego! 17 December 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Major Disappointment I rarely write reviews but always read others when choosing a property to stay at. However, after my recent stay at this particular property I feel obligated to share my experience. First, our family has stayed at many hotels across the country and I can honestly say this hotel had the least friendly and accommodating staff of any we have ever stayed. We were here almost an entire week, coming and going daily and NEVER once were we so much as acknowledged. Not by front desk staff, kitchen staff, housekeeping. We made few requests but did ask for more pillows as I was there staying post surgery, and we were treated like a huge inconvenience. The quality of the suite was less than acceptable with doors falling off hinges, sinks that didn't drain, dirty furniture. And the beds were some of the lowest quality most uncomfortable beds we have ever laid in. And the pillows? Small, square, lumpy. You honestly would be better off using your luggage for a pillow. Now on a positive note. Having a kitchen is not only beneficial but in our situation was necessary, which is why we didn't check out as soon as we checked in. They have nice room darkening curtains so sleeping during the daylight hours is possible (although uncomfortable). The noise level of the suite was acceptable although our suite was located above and adjacent to the breakfast area so for about 3 hours every morning it was very noisy. Had we to do it all over again we would not choose this property and would not recommend it to others based on our experiences 02 December 2014
