Don't get me wrong - the Suites are fine and clean if you don't intend to eat in them; or cook; or make a cup of coffee (nothing in the kitchen# BUT...
The reception staff #especially the 'front desk manager' (female# is abominable, obnoxious or any similar synonym you care to choose. They refused to accept a valid MasterCard - a Commonwealth Bank #Australian# issued Travel Money Card - supposedly because 'there is no name on the card'. No matter what identification was offered #other credit cards WITH name and matching signatures; drivers license; passport# , no go. I finally wanted to speak to the front desk managers boss. "You can't" was the curt response. Only when I threatened to call MasterCard directly did she call someone #supposedly her manager# who refused to speak to me but authorized the 'once of' acceptance of this card #as per her#.
Now I have been travelling in the USA for near on 2 months now and have never anywhere been refused the use of this card #except at an automatic petrol pump that requires a matching US zip code#.
To us it appeared that the staff is causing severe problems and customer dissatisfaction for this hotel, as we spoke to several other guests #as one does# who all seemed to have some sort of problem with the front desk. One guest commented that she felt that us guests were an imposition to the staff. Every time we went through the lobby #every time mind you# there was someone complaining about something. I didn't bother going to back to complain about the lack of utensils, dishes, glasses #none of anything# in the "suite".
My recommendation: stay away until staff changes - but I guess we'll never know when and if that happens.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rboud2013 Excellent location & very clean.
I would definitely stay here again & recommend to anyone! Complimentary hot breakfast every morning! Complimentary dinner on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday for social interaction with other guests. Room & hotel was very clean. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Right next to the airport & car rental place. Easy access onto the interstate. Everything that we went to do in Albuquerque was within 30 minutes of the hotel.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by chezfameptx Good room, awful bed and smelly bathrooms
We picked this property because of the two room suite availability. The rooms were good size. King bed was awful soft and messed up our backs. Overall cleanliness of the room was good with the exception of the bathrooms. They were smelly, either mildew smell or cleaned with a sour rag. We couldn't tell which.
Overall, it was a good stay and we would stay again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bear14 All it needs is a firmer bed
Fab location easy access to freeway nice breakfast but but bed was too soft. Once you add slight firmness. Then there is no reason to stay anywhere else.
I'll be checking in next month can't wait

After driving for almost 13 hours to move our daughter back to UNM, it was great to feel like we were at home. We were able to stretch out and relax. This is our go to hotel when we go to ABQ.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by isamba Shuttle issues for second time.
I usually stay at the Staybridge - good value, convenient to airport, courteous and helpful staff. I specifically stay to board an early morning flight, rather than drive an hour in the morning to get to the airport by 5:30am. This last time, as well as the last time I was here 4 months ago, the early shuttle did not arrive. Both times it was scheduled the day before, so plenty of time for communication between the hotel and the shuttle service. Both times the shuttle was scheduled to arrived @ 5:15am. Last time the hotel staff called a taxi in order to address the issue. This last time the driver stated he had experienced this issue on his end 3 previous times! This issue is really key. I hope they address this as it has apparently been going on for a while! Other than that, good experience ~

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dianes7386 A great place!!
We were looking for a relaxing, comfortable, reasonable place to spend a long week-end and definitely found it with this location. The front desk personnel, without exception, were courteous, helpful, professional and accommodating to our every need and always nice. We can only say that we achieved when we chose this facility. The room was large, comfortable, clean and quiet. Even though it's close to the airport, we didn't hear the planes. The food was delicious and prepared well. Lots of choices too. We will most definitely stay here again. Comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, bath linens clean and fresh...........what more could you ask for from a hotel??? Loved the experience!!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by archiemom03 Loved the space!
This was a great place for a family to stay. There are five in our family. We have a 19,15 and 8 year old. That means four adult size people. We normally have to get two hotel rooms when we travel but this was perfect! It was very clean, spacious, comfortable beds, breakfast was good, loved having a small kitchen and alot cheaper than two rooms.
We will be staying at Staybridge again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Carole35 Comfortable rooms and friendly staff
Whenever I pass through Albuquerque, I stay at this hotel. It is comfortable, convenient and friendly. I have a small dog and there is ample property on which to walk him. The rooms are quiet. In the summer, my granddaughters use the pool. The breakfasts are very good and have a variety of choices. I won't stay any place else unless this hotel is full.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by SC64 Location great/Service not so great
Stayed here during the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. This was a great location for proximity to the fiesta and close to everything. The rooms were nice, but are in need of a little bit of updating. Breakfast was poor. Each morning I had to ask for refills of everything. There were not enough people working the breakfast bar and consequently everything was empty, including silverware, condiments and eggs, etc. The evening before our flight home we were trying to sleep and the floor above us had somebody stomping or jumping in the room or somewhere on that floor. Could have been up and down the halls because we had two rooms at opposite ends of the floor and we all heard this. I called down to the front desk and they said they would call and take care of it. 1/2 hour later it continued so I called again. The answer I got was that they called and the room directly above ours said that they had just gotten in so it couldn't have been them. At this point I feel the management should have walked up to that floor to see what was going on after I made two calls and I suggested this, but never really got an answer. Instead this stomping and jumping continued for longer than an hour. I also said something on my way out the door the following morning when asked how our stay was and I just kind of got a shrug from the front desk clerk. That situation was not handled properly. Guests should not have to listen to noise like that when they are trying to sleep at night. I might stay there again mainly because we like the two bedroom suites that are available and this might have been an isolated incident. However I do not feel that things were handled properly and I did not see anybody for the three nights we were there that had a name tag on that said manager. Seems like no one in particular was in charge.

I usually stay at this hotel or the Holiday Inn next door, both are great places to stay in Albuquerque and less than a mile from the airport terminal. The view of the city a night is wonderful and between the two, all the amenities you could want, (HI has bar & cafe).

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ralph Not as good as other Staybridge experiences
Prior to this stay, we had stayed in 2 other Staybridge Suites hotels this year and were extremely pleased with both experiences, particularly the excellent professional reception staff and high standard of Staybridge cleanliness.
Unfortunately, this stay did not live up to expectation.
Good value for money at a busy time of year but nowhere to eat within a short distance. Did point us to a good Pizza take-away though!
Although very clean throughout, it was very disappointing to arrive too late on Friday to arrange servicing of room over weekend - had to empty our own bins and make beds.
Breakfast was satisfactory, although there could have been more of a staff presence over a busy weekend to restock the buffet when items ran out - much more compact breakfast area and lower staff levels than other experiences.
We found the soundproofing disappointing with constant disturbance of guests talking and car doors slamming outside our 2nd floor room.
The Reception experience was the most disappointing. We had booked the room 8 months in advance but our request for a high floor was not met and we were given a different type of room than that booked. We were told there was no other option as the hotel was full. Although we had 2 rooms instead of 1, it appeared to be a disabled facility room which did not suit us at all, with a noisy sliding door to the bathroom and a walk-in shower which flooded the bathroom.
Requests for local information were directed to the booklets in Reception. We were surprised to see the (apparent) only Receptionist popping back and forth outside the hotel for a cigarette during the morning check-out period.
Hopefully this was an unfortunate one-off experience and our other Staybridge stays more typical of their high standards.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by JanM Room was quiet
We booked 2 rooms last May and requested them be connected or at least close together. 1 was on the 1st floor the 2nd was on the 4th floor. I guess they don't know what "connected or close together" means. I even called the week before about it. The heated pool needed more heat. And there was no maid service over the weekend. We arrived on a Friday night and left on Monday morning. There were no clean towels, no emptying of trash...nothing. We found a sign Friday night while we were getting ready for bed that said if we wanted maid service for the weekend we had to request it by 5 PM on Friday. Lot of good that did us.
