Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Hotel Nice place with recent remodeling. Quiet place where you are able to get a good nights sleep. About the only negative of the place is the room furniture is beginning to show its age. New carpet and remodeled bathrooms were very nice though. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. I would recommend this location to persons that do not want to stay in a busy area of the city and want to relax or get a good nights sleep. November 4, 2014

Shuttle service to and from the airport was good - waited a little longer than the indicated 10 minutes when we arrived at the airport but that wasn't a big deal. We received a free room upgrade upon check-in, which is always nice. We had a very enjoyable late dinner in the pub/restaurant, with very friendly and attentive service (and good food). Seems that the hotel is in the midst of a (needed) upgrade, but we were comfortable and slept well. October 27, 2014

When I checked out, the front desk lady must have had a bad night because she wasn't that friendly. The cartridge on the printer ran out and she couldn't give me a copy of my receipt. I had to ask her to email me a copy of it. She threw a clip board up on the counter and told me to put my email address on it. First, I can't understand why they didn't have a spare cartridge and two, she was not anywhere near as friendly as the rest of the staff. The van drivers were nicer than she was. There was also a van driver who dropped us off at the mall who gave a distinct impression that we had to tip. Everyone getting off the van talked about his attitude as we were getting off the van. I thought tipping was optional. Other than that, the stay was nice and yes, I would come back again. October 27, 2014

Everyone friendly and helpful, from the shuttle driver to the person at the desk to room service. Food was also excellent and the service outstanding. At 4:30 the next morning when the shuttle driver was not available a cab was waiting for me and the hotel covered the cost. October 23, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Adequate for Business Refrain from high-expectations. Business travel is necessary and seasoned veterans have specific needs but know how to be flexible. This hotel requires flexibility. Sleeping rooms provide good rest. The rest of the hotel is lagging in atmosphere. The food and beverage is just adequate, if you are not interested in exploring the surrounding area. The hotel dining room and bar is depressing in its motif, the wait staff is professional but overworked. The traveler who comes "home" at the end of the afternoon, has a beverage in the bar, catches a knap in their room, and comes down or orders in for a sandwich, then retires for the night, should be satisfied. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet Room poor shuttle service I appreciated the quiet and peaceful room. I had an issue with the shuttle being very late (15 ) each time I used it. That needs to improve as we are all on a time schedule. The food at the restaurant was delicious but never had enough help in the evening. The poor waitress in the bar was running and could hardly keep up with all the demands of the guests. She did as good a job as possible for one person. This is the second time that I've been here (2 separate occasions) where I noticed the bar being short staffed. October 10, 2014

Some up-grading construction going on while we were there, but didn't really affect our stay. It has become my hotel of choice when I'm in the St. Paul/Minneapolis area, especially when flying in and out because of the proximity to the airport. The staff is friendly, the hotel clean and well kept. My last stay they were doing some updating some of he common area, but it wasn't disruptive. The location is great - but in a wooded secluded spot, so you don't feel like you are in the city. October 1, 2014

I will like to personally Thank the Airport van driver because I forgot my Jacket in my room when I got to the airport and he called ahead to the Hotel to have someone go to my room and retreive my jacket and shirt I left in the closet . The pillow that I selected was soft and was like sleeping on a cloud. My only criticism, the lobby was being renovated during my stay, so that area was a bit of an industrial site and I thought that the bathrooms were a bit tired and dated. Overall though, I had a great stay and would definitely stay there again when I am next in Minneapolis. September 27, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Item Stolen It may seem like a minor item, but our phone charger was stolen. I plugged my phone in next to the bed overnight and the next morning my husband reminded me to not forget the phone charger when I unplugged my phone to use it. Of course, I forgot. We realized it about 1-1/2 hours after we left the hotel. Luckily, we live nearby and were just at the hotel to enjoy the pool with our granddaughter. We called the hotel letting them know we were coming back to get the charger and they checked with housekeeping regarding finding the item. Housekeeping stated they did not find it. When we got back to the hotel my husband went up to room and the housekeeping manager and another housekeeping employee were in the room. As soon as my husband walked in the manager said she didn't find the charger and that she was the only person who had been in the room. My husband asked if she cleaned the room. She said yes. My husband asked if she plugged in the clock. She said yes. My husband told her that she should have found the charger then, because I had unplugged the clock to plug in our charger. The "manager" just stood there and stared at him. As far as we're concerned she STOLE it. And yes, we checked our luggage - especially our electronics pack - and we do not have the charger. I will NOT stay there again and I will NOT recommended that hotel to anyone. September 24, 2014

Previous ambassadors for the hotel, such as the friendly drivers who would accommodate requests are no longer there. New management has curtailed transport requests, so no it is likely I will need a rental car if I ever stay there again - which I doubt. September 19, 2014
