3/10/13: I'm in the process of relocating to Harrisburg and have been staying at the Staybridge since late January. Sales Director Janet was very accommodating by helping me make my reservations. Staff has been very nice and helpful. Every employee is very engaged in their job and they ALL do it with a smile every day. The breakfast and the evening socials are great too! I would sum it up by saying, the overall value is second to none! From room size, cleansiness, hotel accessibility, staff friendliness, to food.....I would.... (and have already recommended to my work colleagues)... that travelers stay at the Staybridge. I think they get how to take care of customers and make them feel at home and want to come back JB

I stay at many Holiday Inn Brands and enjoy the Staybridge properties very much. I must say by no fault of the staffs who were all very good, but the social that I tried to attend was a feeding frenzy. I and one of my associates showed up about 5:45 and it was chaotic with people grabbing whatever they can, piling up plates of food, grabbing whatever beverages they can as it looked like something the movie Jaws.
We tried to approach the buffet but decided to head out and socialize and enjoy a beverage and something to eat at the restaurant down the street.
Not sure if you can really do anything about this, and as I stated the staff was wonderful and very hospitable.

Thanks for all, quite a nice place. Had trouble knowing where the shuttle was outside the farm show building. Had no clue where to wait for it. Ended up walking back ad with couple 4 year olds late at night was not fun. To avoid the roadway, maybe a bridge could be put over the area behind the hotel to the parking lot

I was ill when i arrived and mistakingly had booked too small room. Trying to sleep on fold out bed was awful. 3 times I spoke to staff about putting somethng on the fold out to make it better. I received a couple of thin blankets. I went down and asked for the Manager and met Mike. He fixed me up right away and I did'nt have a problem the rest of my stay. Everyone should be as great as he was. Thank you, Mike.

We went to the PA Farm Show this January 2013. We stayed at the Staybridge Hotel which was right across the street from the Farm Show. Hector who ran the FREE shuttle to the show and back was just so great. He went out of his way to pick us up at the entrance we wanted and was a very professional driver. Can't say enough good things about Hector. The manager, I think Monica was also very helpful in getting us in our room early and at every other instance. The hotel is overall very, very clean and the staff great. The free breakfast and dinners were also an added plus. All in all we will difinately stay there every time we go to the Farm show. Make your reservations well in advance for I am sure they sell out quickly.

I really like the Staybridge hotel in Harrisburg, PA. I am not really fond of its location, but not that bad. The beds are a little less desirable. I mean that they are very firm and don't give very much. Other than that, the home feel of the hotel and the free laundry machines and the meals are good. I would suggest changing up the meals and not repeating the same meals over and over. The hotel price is very competitive with other hotels.

I recently spent 6 nights at this hotel and while the rooms, overall, are OK, housekeeping needs to be revamped dramatically. During the stay, dishwasher detergent was never replaced during the light touch cleanings, the soap left in the bath was facial soap rather than bath soap, and at least twice I had to go downstairs to ask for dishcloths. It was noted that cobwebs were hanging from the ceilings in the living room area. They were still there when I checked out. I complained of two stink bugs that were just to the left of the windows at the ceiling line. One disappeared, the other flew down and woke me at 3:30 in the morning on the fourth night and I disposed of it. Housekeeping reported to the front desk that they could not find the bugs even though they were unobstructed. The first three nights we stayed the toilet would keep running only if we flushed after 1:00 AM. The only way to silence it was to turn off the valve. The first complaint found no problem. The second detailed complaint resulted in the internal valve finally being replaced and three good nights of sleep. Lastly, a colleague requested her rug be vacuumed twice. Guess you can figure out if it got done or not. NOT,
Do not get me wrong, there is a lot going for this property. It is in a safe neighborhood, close to the city and the Farm Show Complex, and major highways. Shopping is close and the cookware is in good shape for a hotel of this type. Also the pool and laundry facilities are on a par with better hotels that I have stayed at. If they can just get the housekeeping issues taken care of I could have given them 4 and 5 stars. For Room Comfort, Hey Guys - how about a desk chair that goes up another 2 inches or so for your 6 foot 2 guests?

We visited Harrisburg for the annual Christmas Craft Show. The location was extremely convenient to the Ag Center. And the accomodations were fabulous. We had a large group and required 3 suites. The staff was able to accomodate our request to have the rooms very close together. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was tastey. We will definately stay here again next year!

I had a couple of things that were not to bad when I was there on my stay. Not sure what one of them was. But one that I remember is a little longer Social Evening Reception on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday during the Christmas Show at the expo center. The Social Evening Reception was only until 7:30pm and we got out at 7:00pm as vendors from the show. Would have been nice to come in to a small meal for us. I got back at 7:10pm and very very little food left. No more was coming out either. I saw many sadden faces from other guest when they arrived at the Social Evening Reception. Over all the stay was very pleasurable. Almost like home. The staff were very very good. Great service from all aspects. This was my second time at this hotel and I was very satisfied. Would recommend this hotel very highly.

Over all we had a very nice experience. The meals were good (although some of the kitchen employees were a little rude). The rooms were comfortable but did not like how the bathroom and sink area are seperate. The pool area was very nice and took advantage of the washer and dryer, We stayed because of convenience and would stay again.

I called the same day back to the hotel as our check out. I asked them to check the room for our cell phone charger that we left plugged into the wall, but I have never received a call back about finding it?! I would have thought it would have been an easy check and to send it to me. Never a word back??????????

We attend events at the Farm Show Complex and the location of the Staybridge is so very convenient. The rooms are very nice and the breakfast is always delicious. We have always had great times at the Staybridge in Harrisburg, PA.

checked in Wednesday night, no service at all on Thursday. Asked for service Friday. Got towels but no shampoo, soap or coffee replacements.
Of course Saturday no service at all but of course price was the same.
Not too impressed.
