a room overlooking the racecourse, apart from the occasional train which is close by, but didn't really bother us. Breakfast choice was limited. Especially as there were two types of sausage but no bacon ?

I stayed in the ambassador suite, this is a nice room but it would be better if the area the room opens out to on the roof had a few more plants around it and maybe a bit of decking, it looks like[More]
the bath could be a Jacuzzi bath and this would have been good addition if it worked. Still its much nicer than your average hotel room, so much so I have booked it again.
Top marks for the person looking after the bar at lunch time and the second person who was on the desk later on, in fact the last time we stayed she was on the desk and very nice that time too, a fine example of good customer service.
The food was hit and miss some very good ( recommend the burger and the baileys dessert ).
