Our hotel's convenient location is in the middle of downtown Deadwood, and we're just a few steps from multiple casinos, museums and The Saloon Number 10; where Wild Bill Played his famous hand of cards.

This hotel is one of the "best" Holiday Inn properties I have stayed at. It is located in a refurbished mill building that was used to extract gold from mine processing slime. It was part of the[More]

You enter the property through a casino that occupies the first (I think) three floors. Take a hotel elevator up to a beautiful hotel lobby. After sitting down to register with the friendly staff we were given the keys to our room. Being a Platinum Ambassador I was upgraded to a suite, two rooms two TV's a fireplace in the bedroom, and a large balcony that overlooked all of Deadwood.
The hotel is at the southern end of town within walking distance of the entire town.
Getting to the hotel is a little tricky, there is one entrance and it says casino guest parking. We were staying at the hotel and thought there would be another entrance for hotel guests, there isn't. After driving around the block a couple of times we tried the ramp that said casino, it worked. There is a parking garage adjacent to the casino entrance that is used by both casino and hotel guests. We were met by a doorman who walked us through the drill on how to get from the casino to the hotel. He was great and took us up to the registration floor. once done it's easy.
We stayed in the Black Hills of SD a total of three nights at different hotels. Had we found this one first we would have made the base for our stay in the area. A truly wonderful hotel. [Less]
