Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by nicolas75flyertalk A kind of modern urban nightmare/Dubai under the rain
The one bedroom suite king bed is around 30 sqm.
Soulless corporate design which looks more like a Home Depot store rather than the friendly home the hotel claims to be.
Living room with (cheap uncomfortable) sofa.
Kitchen area with electric stove, microwave, fridge (which did not work), dishwasher.
Bathroom with bathub. Raindance Hansgrohe shower head. No vanity set. Terrible body wash ( really have the feeling to have a shower with Fairy detergent).
Tiny bedroom with comfortable bed. View over, well, nothing (roof of the shopping centre, with air conditioning units).
Flat screen television with huge selection of English and international channels.
Quiet (despite overlooking the terrace of the casino).
Free (and slow) wifi.
- The hotel is at the image of the district: soulless and fake. It is supposed to be innovative when it is just an industrialized/impersonal vision of hospitality.
- The concept is supposed to be friendly/warm/feel like home but it does not work, certainly because friendliness is not a concept
- The breakfast is a caricature of the poor concept: crowded area, understaffed (some tables are free but not cleaned), basic/bad industrial food (where you may expect good local products), cheap design, poor choice.
- Slow wifi
- The fridge did not work, one remote command did not work, the big "radio controlled" clock in the kitchen indicates 3.45 when it is 12.11 pm, glass let in the dishwasher.
- Some details: towel holder is so low (under the sink) that you cannot use it. No bathrobe. Terrible shower gel
- Check-in staff tries to be friendly, but can be rather intrusive (staff speaks 20 cm from you, asks you some questions about previous stays at IHG hotels, explains things as if you are 6 year old). I would prefer having a big smile with a welcome and that's it.
- Lobby is on 12th floor, which means that when you are entering the hotel, you do not see anyone (except for a security agent), and have the feeling to be in an empty building.
- The hotel is quite close the Underground station, but there is absolutely no indication how to get to the reception (have to take the escalator, walk along the shopping centre's pedestrian street, and turn left). And at check-in, you are asked: "Wasn't it too difficult to find us?"
- Long queue for check-out (and Priority Club lane not respected)
When I want to feel at home...I stay at home. When I want to stay at hotel, I will not stay at Staybridge Suites.
I would really hate to have long stays at such soulless property.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Leslie25 Amazing location
I stayed at Staybridge Suites in Stratford for about 7 weeks. It is located within Westfield Mall which made it incredibly safe and convenient. There are two grocery stores within Westfield which made my life so easy. I stop by at either M&S or Waitrose for groceries every other day on my way home.
The hotel was a few steps away from the tube and made commuting to central London very easy. During rush hour, it would take about 20 minutes on the central line to get to Oxford Circus.
The room had everything I needed in terms of everyday needs such as dish washing soap, kitchen utensils and even a laundry basket. They have thought of every detail to make their guest comfortable and have definitely made this hotel a home away from home. The maid service would fix the bed, vacuum, put the dishes in the dishwasher and replaced my towels every weekday.
Breakfast was served everyday with a variety of breads, juices, yogurt, fruits, coffee from the coffee machine, tea, and hot food that consisted of eggs, bacon, sausage and hash browns. I have no complaints simply because it's free breakfast that I didn't have to worry about.
The hotel was incredibly clean and had the nicest staff. The concierge helped book a cab for me on several occasions and have always gotten it right. I was so glad to have found Staybridge and they have made my stay in London so much better. I would definitely recommend booking with Staybridge at Stratford.

Chose to stay here with the girlfriend for a birthday treat and we had an amazing time. The apartments are very new and the staff were very welcoming. We even received a complementary bottle of wine and offered an upgrade as it was a special occasion.
Definitely recommend and we will be coming back!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Popey I know where to stay in London now.
Couldn't fault this place, it's only 30 mins from Paddington and such amazing views across the city. The rooms are great and really like being at home, breakfast was more than adequate and again you could sit and look out across London.
Will definitely be back here.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lino great concept of having a kitchen in the room
We found the hotel to be extremely convenient close to the new West Field shopping complex in Stratford. As the weather was very dull and cold, shopping in the complex was so convenient, where we can return to the room in a couple of minutes, and resume shopping. Transport from Central London by tube takes about 20 minutes and is very frequent through the Central Line. An additional chair in the room would have made things more comfortable, especially, if you plan to warm food and eat inside the room. Otherwise I think that this will be our preferred hotel whenever we visit London. Well equipped kitchen in the room.

My experience at Staybridge Suites was excellent. There is nothing wrong I can think of at the hotel. However, I'll advise the cleaners to do better jobs cleaning the rooms and toilets.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by gogowend cozy, quiet and comfy
Great hotel on a budget. Nice modern room with en suite kitchen facilities, awesome shower, comfy bed. My room was so quiet, just what I needed whilst I was on business.
Laundry room was convenient, with gym next door. Good views of Olympic park & the ever changing London skyline. Many good restaurants nearby, plus hotel is in a huge new shopping mall that has stores ranging in quality, from Prada to Primark...your choice! Would be a good place to stay to a shopping weekend, if that's how you swing. Very close to train stations too, 15 minutes to The City 30 mins to the West End.
Staff very helpful too.
Downside is that Stratford is kind of a dump, the only reason to go there would be for the shopping or sporting event (or in my case, close to where I was working for a week).
Cannot fault the hotel though. A+++ on a budget.

I spent a total of 13days in this apartment and it was great from the first day. The staffs were great. Food was awesome. View from my room was out of this world. The Westfield shopping mall had all I needed and more. The Stratford tube station was my ticket to the whole of London and its environs. There was never a dull moment. I had a great and memorable holiday in this hotel and will not hesitate to book it again or recommend it.

We stayed here to go to the tennis at the O2 and the hotel was perfectly located for that. The trip into central London only took twenty minutes with a five minute walk to the tube station. Our room overlooked the Olympic Park with great views of London. Breakfast selection was good with something for everyone. We will definitely stay again as this was superb value for money, we could not fault the staff or the Hotel. Our three night stay was cheaper than some budget hotels. You cannot go wrong staying here.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by pacman1973 The best hotel in London at the moment
This has to be the best hotel in London, in terms of cleanliness, proximity to shopping and transport links, the O2, as well as customer service. I have lived in London for 2 years and now regularly travel into London. I must admit that I would expect to stay in a place like this for at least 2 to 3 times the price.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rambrent Very nice rooms, friendly staff, close to the Stratford Underground station.
I spent a week at hotel and enjoyed my stay. The room was in excellent condition, the bed was comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the hotel was located very close to the Stratford station for the London Underground and rail services. It takes about 25 minutes to get from Stratford into Central London where most of the tourist attractions are located, so if you have limited time you may want to consider someplace closer in; although the rooms will likely be considerably more expensive. The hotel has free Internet and it has clothes washers and dryers that are free of charge. Although I did not use it, the room has a nicely furnished kitchen.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by paulette Great view, CLEAN and stylish room... LOVED IT!
Comfortable bed, pillows a little too high for my liking, so found it hard to get comfy, but that's me being a fussy pillow person and my problem lol!! We enjoyed our stay SO much, the room was clean, spotless infact. The bathroom was also spotless. As for the view over the Olympic park - what a view of the London skyline, beautiful clouds, inspiring architecture... shame it was only for 24 hours. Only wish we could have stayed longer... we will certainly be back and I WILL and already have told my friends about it. Hope to be back soon. Thanks for a lovely special night away :D

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Alr8 Fantastic Location and experience!
We needed a last minute hotel in a specific hotel and came across the Staybridge Suites in Stratford London. In terms of comparative value it was equal with other places we had looked at but with Staybridge you get the benefit of a glorious buffet breakfast and lovely view of the Olympic Village. I had requested specifically to have a room with a view and this was easily accomplished as we had a stunning view of Olympic Stadium which really made the room for us. It was very convenient for the Westfield shopping centre as the hotel is above it and you are within a minute walk of many restaurants and the main shopping centre. The room is modern and very clean so there were no grumbles from us. As well as having the little kitchen area which was very useful in case you didn't feel like going out to eat.
A highlight was the buffet breakfast which we thought was outstanding; such variety from juices, teas, hot breakfast and freshly made pastries which were delicious!
The people on reception were exceptionally helpful and made check in/ out pleasurable. We would thoroughly recommend especially if wanting a good location for Stratford and a relaxing stay.

First time here and found it very enjoyable. Facilities are great athough didnt try the breakfast. Perfect location for Westfield Center and all that it offers and close to Stratford Station for overground, DLR and underground travel Londonl to city center. We had a good deal on our 3 night stay which made it value for money. Those kind of deals dont seem to come up that often though. Would have thought it ideal for a family of 3-4 who wanted to stay close to London

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lucky7 Fantastic room, very clean with awesome views, TOP MARKS!
Stayed here for a birthday weekend and I could not have asked for more. Lovely suites, very polite staff, great views. Ideally located for Exel and O2 arena. Tube stops are about 5 mins walk via the Westfield SHopping Centre (great shops, plenty of places to eat, entertainment too), and then you are about 20 mins from central London.
Breakfast was included in the price. Its a buffet, self service style breakfast. Little bit hectic but you are allowed to take your food up to your room, which is a good idea.
I would definately stay here again and have already recommended this to family and friends.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AUSSIES GREAT STAFF/POSITION TO ACCESS INNER LONDON, SHOPPING BELOW YOUR FEET THAT PLEASED MY MISSUS. STAFF SERVICE WAS NOT 'TRY HARD'. JUST CAME NATURALLY.
WE STAYED FOR 10 NIGHTS OVER A 5 WEEK PERIOD AS WE CAME AND LEFT TO TOUR THE UK. THE SERVICE REMAINED CONSISTENTLY AT A HIGH STANDARD. WE GOT TO KNOW STAFF OVER THIS TIME AND TRULY APPRECIATED THAT INITIAL IMPRESSIONS REMAINED TRUE THROUGHOUT OUR STAY.
IF OUR DAUGHTER STAYS IN EAST LONDON, WE WILL ONLY CONSIDER TO STAY HERE.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MrBert007 Excellent hotel, so convenient and comfortable
I really liked this hotel and I would recommend anyone to stay there. Very convenient to reach the tube/DLR and railstation and the shopping center/mall next door is fantastic.
Have never been treated in such a friendly and service-oriented manner that I got from the guys at the front desk when I checked in.
If you stay at Staybridge you are surrounded with all possible innovations but just a stone's throw away in Stratford City, you can experience the more traditional England with some really cozy pubs among others.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by hawo excellent modern stylish accommodation
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in October and were very impressed with the very stylish (and fully equipped) kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. The breakfasts were excellent with a very good choice of food and the welcoming drinks and snacks (Tues - Thurs) provided a very good opportunity to socialise. Proximity to tube/buses/shops is excellent. We would recommend the Staybridge Suites without hesitation

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by UKExpatVA Great Value. Hard to find from taxi
We really liked this hotel and I would recommend anyone to stay there. Its convenient for the tube/DLR and rail to anywhere. The local shopping center/mall is amazingly good.
The only issue is that when booking special instructions should be given for getting taxi drivers to get in there. We came from Heathrow and the taxi driver would bot have got in there if I had not activated my iPhone maps ( cost me $20 in download fees) and an addition 20 pounds in fare going around trying to get in to the right place to drop us off.
Same problem in leaving we almost missed our flight back to USA as the Taxi driver was waiting in wrong place can could not figure out how to get in the main entrance where we did not have to haul our baggage through the shopping center

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rowe8 So convenient and comfortable.
We stayed for 5 nights, the staff were a credit to the hotel, the accommodation was exactly what we needed, enabling us to prepare and cook if we wanted to stay in to watch a TV programme, plus the benefit of a dish washer (home from home). Comfortable bed and a really good sized shower cubicle and shower pressure. I did find the air conditioning controls difficult and consequently found the room far too hot at night, my problem though. The location was excellent for shopping, train services, restaurants, cinema etc. we will use again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Patrick65 Excellent hotel in 20 min subway range from London center.
Excellent hotel, great views if you can get them! Try to get accomodation above the 7th floor and always try to get views of the London Olympic park and the LondonSkyline. The other side of the hotel looks into a big nothing of a huge roof of the adjoining shopping center which has huge fans servicing the shopping mall airco system which also makes noise even with the windows closed! (but this didn't bother us). Small windows which is a pity, which not make these a bit bigger and make sure they are clean! For the rest and EXCELLENT hotel with a great lobby on the 12th top floor and a good breakfast area with plenty of food. The rooms have little kitchens with everything, a dishwasher, a microwafe, a watercooker, and 2 heaters to cook food. A home away from home. The hotel is about a 10 min walk to the main Stratford subway and bus station and obvously has MANY shops around. The shopping mall is brand new and the best I have ever seen! All amazing shops of high quality and great restaurants nearby. About a 15 min subway ride to London Bridge subway or 20 to Westminster, all on the new Jubilee line. All in all we had a great time and for this price it's an excellent stay. All London hotels in the center are either bad or very expensive. Top marks to this hotel and a great and very friendly staff!

We staid from Friday to Tuesday, the room was comfortable and so was the bed. Breakfeast english style - some bread to toast but no cheese, only marmelade.
The room as such was OK, showersoap available.
The downside is that there is no roomservice during the weekends! No staff changing towels, emptying paperbaskets providing new toalet paper. The staff did not inform at check in, the only information was a A4 document inside the elevator on one side. When asking the staff why, they told me it was to my benefit - not to be desturb! For me, part of going away on weekends and stay on hotel - is the extra feeling of good roomservice. Not to empty the paperbaskets myself, and have to ask for new towels - toaletpaper.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by twolongislanders Comfortable room, good food, friendly staff, outstanding views!
From the friendly greeting on our arrival, to the warm leavetaking when we departed, and all the time in between, the British staff treated us with the same "down-home Southern hospitality" that we two New Yorkers are accustomed to from our many wonderful stays at the Staybridge Suites in Ballantyne (Charlotte), North Carolina. In both locations it's like staying with family!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Chrish1977 Couldn't fault anything
We had a lovely stay (albeit a little short) but the staff were fantastic especially Timothy. There was a little problem with a voucher for the stay, but they managed to come out with shining colours (have told several people since how good they were too).
Room was very spacious, and even the noise from the local casino didn't get through the double glazing. I even like the fact the floors are locked off from everyone but those staying on the particular level, felt even safer knowing that.
Very good for parking too as you can park in the westfield car park.
