I stayed at Staybridge Markham for 1 week and the staff was very friendly and helpful. However, during our first night, we realized that the room was not soundproof at all. While in bed, I was awaken by footsteps from the room upstairs, and heard someone going to the bathroom, I actually heard the person urinate, close the toilet seat and wash their hands which was quite disturbing. In the bathroom I could hear clearly a child's conversation with their parents while in the bath.
If it wasn't for this, I would have given this hotel 5 stars, everything else was great!

We drove 4 hours into Toronto and were happy to unwind at the hotel. It was easy to find, lots of eating establishments close by, a nice pool for the kids and our dog enjoyed the park next door. The in-room kitchen was well equipped with fridge and the basic appliances. We extended our stay an extra night and will book with Staybridge Suites again on our next visit.

Often times reviews are only written when a negative experience occurs. In this instance, the complete opposite is true. I truly felt like a welcomed guest instead of just an occupant. Efficient and friendly staff, excellent amenities, very clean and comfortable facilities. After a few preceding subpar IHG stays, the Toronto-Markham restored my faith in the IHG brand. Kudos

MANAGEMENT IS POOR AND THEY RENOVATED TO THE HOTEL BUT ALSO DID A POOR JOB. YOU CAN SMELL SMOKE THROUGH VENTS. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

Spent my Valentine's day Birthday there, had a great room and the staff was very pleasant and friendly.. I was surprised with a birthday cake and card in my room.. was surprised again when I found that the cake actually tasted great.. three cheers to a great experience. will be back next year.

Was a little concerned when i went to get on the elevator, it was slow and tired looking but when i got to my room I was pleasantly surprised. I am not impressed easliy and have stayed in alot of hotels with my family and this 2 room suite was perfect. Clean and neat and had everything you needed. The breakfast was good as well.

Needed a place to stay for a weekend lay over in Toronto and be close to work on Monday. This is perfect! So comfortable, clean, wonderful people. Able to work, relax, unwind and get ready for a week's work. Would stay here again anytime!

The Staybridge Suites we stayed at (for 9 days) in December 2012, is a wonderful place to stay with family. The 1 bedroom (for 3-4 people) we stayed-in was comfortable, had an eat-in kitchen facility with 4 burners (no stove though!), fridge, a microwave and a dishwasher. It has free-parking, a wonderful and heated indoor pool as well. Location is excellent with easy access to highway 404, highway 7, eating places, COSTCO, Wallmart, movie theatres (Silver-Screen) etc.
The staff, especially Mr. Suresh at the front-desk was very helpful and always provided service with a smile. The breakfast served was great and varied somewhat from day-to-day. Free coffee is available for 24 hours in the restaurant.
Managing expectations is what it is all about. It is not a full-service hotel (i.e. they do not change sheets or clean floors every day, but do so once a week), but fresh towels are provided everyday and bed is made everyday also. We had a small plumbing problem (the handle of the toilet-flush broke) and it was fixed within minutes by the hotel plumber!
Overall, a great value for your money at a very clean place and service with a smile. Book online at the Suites' web-site for the best price.

This is the second Christmas I have spent with family at the Markham Staybridge. It was great. I go swimming with my grandchildren. And we go for an excellent buffet breakfast for 6 (parents, me and 3 kids) - and we don't have to cook or clean up. I booked early and got a great price. It looked like the hotel had some very nice renovations since last year. Clean, comfortable and kid-friendly, with many other families there. Having the kitchenette really helped in feeding the kids during the day and heating in the microwave Christmas dinner that I brought with me. There's a large Loblaws close by to pick up anything I forgot. Like last year, staff delivered chocolates to us on Christmas day; nice touch. I can't stop telling others about this hotel when I get home.

Being a long term guest, can really appreciate the changes . Kudos to all involved with the renovation it is a pleasure to stay there . I love it and the staff !

My wife and I enjoyed our stay very much. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable and attractive. I would say it was one of the nicest I have seen. The pool area was clean and easily accessed. Location of hotel was convenient for access to 407 and 401 via 404. Coffee in lobby was great.

Booked online and paid for deluxe suite. Arrived at hotel and was given a studio room. Had to complain to get my deluxe room rate reduced. And even that was not given at what was said. Also mgr tried to tell me deluxe room not guaranteed even though studio rate was left. Just complete dishonesty.

Our daughter dances in Toronto and we visit her often. This is our "go-to" place for our visits. We have stayed at other hotels in the area because we had points to use, but none of them compare to the hospitality and value that you get at this Staybridge Suites. Their staff is always friendly and willing to help with questions.

In spite of the description that it was a Double Room Suite, the room seems small and cramp. The door to the bathroom was too big that if you open or close you would bump into each other.
There were no housekeeping during our stay so after a day, we did not feel comfortable using the bathrooms that are not cleaned.
