This sure beats locations with the interstate rushing by. New and spacious, better quality rooms and amenities, easy access to shopping and restaurants if desired.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Unhappy213 Several Problems
We stayed at this hotel and was expecting to have a romantic weekend. The tv didn't work properly, the art work was not hanging on the wall, we were given a handicap room, the fitted sheets did not stay on the bed, the ice maker did not work and when we went to the pool at 11pm (during the adult only swim), there were kids running every where - the kids used all of the towels and the hottub was green. The front desk staff did not do anything about any of my complaints and I didn't want to ruin the weekend so I let it go. We were very disappointed!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Acey2000 Lack of meaningful cleaning and maintenance
Had a one night stay over Easter weekend. My room on the 4th floor appeared to have water damage from a leaking roof. There was evidence of moisture damage and many poorly done repairs done to the walls and ceiling. Carpet edges and seams are shaggy and unraveled.
As others have described, fitted bed sheets in hotels are great ideas, but these are worn out and the elastic is not strong enough to keep them on the bed. The top comforter had chocolate or blood stains on it.
Carpets in the rooms is very dirty, had a new pair of white socks that was turned black within 2 hours of walking on the carpet. Internet service kept disconnecting while reading and writing emails. The TV kept losing signal and blacking out on the first 19 channels. Cushions on sofa were worn out. Air intake for heating and cooling system was covered in dust. Pizza sauce and cheese from previous guest was not cleaned from floor.
I stopped staying at this hotel last fall for many of these reasons. The TV signal had issues 6 months ago and they have not managed to correct the problem. Apparently, the carpet cleaning and other maintenance that was supposed to be done to correct these issues has not been done either.
The nightly rates at this property have increased by at least $25 per night over the past several months. It seems as if the hotel could hire adequate and competent staff to address these continual problems.
Our room faced the mall parking lot, several loud vehicles were drag racing in the parking lot after midnight and woke me up.
Photos were taken of all of the issues, however the file size was too large to upload

We've stayed at many 'extended stay type' hotels and this chain stands out for their customer service and cleanliness. This particular stay was just for one night and we didn't partake in any amenities as we were just passing through to our next destination. The lobby was vast, clean, and the evening desk clerk was extremely friendly and helpful. :)
The room was well-appointed with an upgraded kitchenette - granite counter top, stainless steel appliances, and roomy eating area. The bed was extremely comfortable.
The furniture was clean and appeared new. I especially enjoyed the tall ceilings (unusual for most hotels) - we stayed in a corner suite on the first floor.
The location was next to a nice shopping center with above-average restaurants but we arrived too late and everything was closed. This hotel would be great for an extended stay.

We enjoyed our stay as a whole. The room was clean and spacious. The pool was nice (although really crowded and loud.)
We were there for a gymnastics competition which we had to leave by 7:30 am to get there in time.
We were disappointed to learn that the hot breakfast would not start until 7:30 am. We were assured the cold items would be available at 7:00, which they were. Luckily there were hard boiled eggs which helped. We needed something with protein to help for the long day. It looked like it would have been a nice hot breakfast. We just couldn't wait around to enjoy it.

I can't say enough about our recent stays in Maumee. We booked the hotel with no knowledge of this property, and only did so because we were en route to Virginia with our four children. We stayed in a two bedroom, two bath suite and loved the space. The kitchen area was very nice, as we enjoyed a late dinner in our suite after check-in. We also enjoyed the family pool hours as well as the adults-only hours. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the bedding and furniture was very attractive.
We enjoyed our stay in Maumee so much that we decided to return for another night eight days later on our way back home from vacation. The second suite was even better than the first, as we were able to get a second bedroom with two beds. The suite was extremely clean and spacious, and I had the best night's sleep that I've had in a hotel in the last several years!
We will definitely put this Staybridge location on our list for our next family trip through Ohio. We felt very welcome at this property, and the kids enjoyed it!

Clean rooms with space to work or relax. Love the breakfasts - those ladies do a great job and take pride in what they do. I want them to know I really appreciate it! Would love it if the rooms had a magnifying make-up mirror!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by DoctorHOSP Unconcerned Front Desk Staff
The overall hotel was terrific. The main issue was with the lack of assistance from the Front Desk staff when I discussed the issue with the refrigerator in our room. It was making the most obnoxious loud noise that really made it difficult to enjoy the room itself. No offer of any remedy at all was made, not even the offer of ice to assist with the storage of the major food purchase that was made and the sole purpose of our trip the the area. Very disappointed with customer service at the property. Otherwise, a very nice place to stay and "enjoy".

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Awesome time!
My family and I stayed in Maumee, OH, and had just a superb stay, due to the suite we had and the services provided there. My wife and I have vowed to look for Staybridge Suites when we travel! We usually have to purchase 2 rooms due to having 5 children. We purchased 1 suite and had much more room in the 1 suite and paid 50% less than getting 2 standard hotel rooms.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by WendyJoy Great lodging for two couples
Our suite had two bedrooms, each with a king-sized bed, TV, and private full bath. Between the rooms is the living room with yet another TV, and a nice little kitchen stocked with dishes, flatware, and even pots and pans! The view out our window was of the interior courtyard, which was lovely with tasteful patio furniture and gardens. It must be beautiful in the warmer weather! Everything was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The rest of the hotel was also spotlessly clean and odor-free. We did not get to use the remainder of the amenities, such as the pool, exercise room, or computer room, or attend the evening social, as we only stayed one night to attend a wedding. (We joked about ditching the wedding because the hotel was so nice!) The hotel is tucked behind a large, unattached outdoor mall (which means a whole bunch of stores, large and small, national chains and locals, set up like a quaint little town). The location is right off the freeway, in an area devoid of houses or businesses besides the mall, so there is NO noise. Lastly, the staff is as friendly as can be! They wished us a good evening as we set out for the wedding, and asked if we had a good time when we returned. They prepared a good breakfast with a ton of choices for us the next morning in the common area, complete with a roaring fire - a welcome sight and feel on a cold, January morning! The snow was falling outside the floor to ceiling windows looking out to the courtyard, and we were snug and warm and fed inside by the fire. Bottom line: We had fun and were well taken care of. Kudos to the Maumee-Toledo Staybridge Suites - see you next time!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by pdjgugkw Very good except for……..
We stayed for 11 nights. This place has a very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfasts were more than adequate and the social receptions looked good, although our schedule did not allow us to participate. There was always free coffee in the lobby and usually cookies in the evening. The refrigerator, microwave, dishes, and coffee maker in the rooms were a nice plus. And the bathrooms were always cleaned well.
Overall it was very good except for two things. The rooms could have been cleaned better. The carpets should be vacuumed more often, and the furniture was dusty upon arrival and not dusted until the 8th day of our stay. But the biggest complaint I have is the fitted sheets on the bed. They are so old that they have lost all of their elastic and the corners kept coming off during the night. It would usually snap off and wake one or both of us up and we would have to fix the corners several times each night. This made it difficult to get a good night's sleep.

My family travels from the Midwest to the east coast once or twice each year to visit relatives and friends. I'm so glad we found this Staybridge in Maumee. We've stayed here at least a half dozen times, and it's our first choice when we're passing through. The separate bedroom offers privacy for both the parents and the teens in the suite. The full kitchen is a welcome comfort, and the two TV's offer options. The whole facility is kept very clean, the beds are comfortable, and the hotel even has a "code of conduct" to help keep things quiet and orderly. And you can't beat the breakfast buffet: everything hot and cold you could want, from eggs and meat to fruit, cheese, yogurt, waffles, juice, coffee... and lots more. Oh, and you eat in a huge dining area that has a fireplace on one side, and a courtyard on the other. One more thing: it's only a few minutes from I-80, and located across a parking lot from a huge outdoor mall, restaurants, and a cinema, so there's plenty to do within walking distance.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DLbutterfield Good, but...
My family of 8 had booked one of the 2 room suites for our 1 night stay, but found out upon arrival that our room had been given away to an extended stay guest. They offered us two, 2 queen bed suites instead and were going to charge us for both - but would have been about $40 cheaper. It was only upon expressing frustration of the change that they were willing to comp us one of the rooms.
The quality of the hotel and room were great! The staff were friendly. The breakfast area is a tad small for the size of hotel, but adequate. I would stay again...

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by OhioStateSteeler Always a great stay
My family has come to love this Staybridge Suites Hotel. We stop here every time we come to town, especially when we have our dog with us. It is nice to find a newer hotel that allows pets, not like many of the older, run-down hotels that don't care so much anymore.
We had a funeral to tend to over the holiday and Staybridge made our stay that much easier. First, I booked 2 nights with the use of my points. Come to find out, I needed another night due to changes in the funeral arrangements. I called at 3:30am the day before our stay, and the overnight desk person was very accommodating. She quickly was able to add another night on to my reservation.
Then, when arriving to town, we were early. So I called to see if we could check in early, and they said it would be no problem. The entire staff was very nice, as always.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to receive proper treatment when staying in a hotel, especially if you are traveling with a pet.
I did have one very minor that arose during this stay, but the hotel staff quickly took care of and corrected it.

Our overnight always brings us thru here as this is one of the very few hotels allowing dogs on our route up-north. Very friendly staff as usual, our same room as always requested, super nice breakfast and the usual Granite Brewery across the street in the Fallen Timber Mall. We always stop here 4-6 times a year and we gladly and happy recommend it. Happy New Year!!!

All the employees were very nice and provides great service. The only problem I had was the beds were not comfortable. It felt like the beds were more tilted on one side especially the side that people most sleep on. After staying 17 days at the Staybridge I came back with a soar back.

For a hotel room, it could not be better. But I wanted to put out a warning to those traveling with your dog. I was charged an extra 75 dollars for her; excessive in my mind. The previous night, at another Staybridge hotel, I was only charged 25 dollars extra. At the 25 dollar hotel, I saw a hand full of dogs when I was there. At the 75 dollar hotel, I saw no other dogs. If you really don't want dogs, it looks like the 75 dollar add-on is working pretty good.
