I have stayed at this hotel twice, one of the companies rents a ballroom so it makes it easier to stay in the hotel, no longer will that happen, there are several hotels that are around the corner that will now be getting my business. The sleeping rooms are unacceptable, they smell and the furniture is old. I will not stay here again and advise you to do the same. The company I work with rents a huge ballroom from this hotel and am working on having that changed. Gym: no weights only treadmill, bike Location: everything food wise is just to far to walk however they will take you to somewhere up to 5 miles, it's a pro and con Recognition for IHG: save 10% on food at bar and they have good food. CON: there is nothing else at all you get for being an IHG member. I can go on however won't August 20, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Overall an good hotel First room we checked into the light switch didn't work; building engineer came out and tried to fix it for us. Was very professional and moved us to a new room just a few doors down. Although the rooms were clean, the two different rooms had different pillows. Had to grab the large pillows from the first room since the second room had ultra small "mini" pillows; wouldn't of been comfortable at all. Also the room was very outdated. Furniture didn't match and was scuffed up in several visible places. TV was HD and flat screen so bonus there. Overall the property is really nice. Banquet hall food was very good. Property bar next to restaurant had very good pricing and service was excellent. As was the restaurant breakfast buffet. I'd recommend getting any room but the standard room, since it is not worth the price. August 20, 2014

Only one hot tub was working. The breakfast buffet was terrible the food was cold. The hard boiled eggs were green inside. Told them and they never removed them from the buffet. August 14, 2014

Aside from the one outlet next to the sink, there were no electrical outlets available to charge cell phones, laptops, etc... Also, there is no continental breakfast, just a restaurant with a breakfast bar. The breakfast bar is probably the best "deal" at $11.95 since if you order a la carte you will get up to this price pretty easily. So add another $15 to your stay each night so you can get breakfast. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Outdated & Overpriced Bad overall experience! Rooms were outdated, broken coffee maker, terrible water pressure and tub backed up, no tv reception on movie channels. WiFi was down, gave us free movie pass but again, no reception on movie channels. Useless! Rooms for the rest of our party were not ready and overpriced breakfast was not worth the ride down the elevator. I stayed in four different hotels over the last 2 weeks and the quality this establishment was terrible. NOT RECOMMENDED! August 8, 2014

We didn't sign up for the free shuttle ahead of time but the desk understood our needs when we entered the lobby & asked if we needed a shuttle & provided it. Get a coupon for kids eat free 2. if you are Holiday inn member, you get 10% discount we got a suite. Was spacious. beds were little short I think, but comfortable. Had a good rest. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible customer service Went to check in and asked for a cot because we had three children (teenagers) plus myself and husband. I was told that a cot wasn't allowed in that room because of fire hazard. So one of my children had to sleep on the floor. Was there for a wedding and the block of rooms weren't even near each other. Staff was very rude, told me the only way my child could have a bed was to book another room. Funny thing was, we were there for two nights and the staff the next day had no problem sending up a cot. Cold showers. Have never been so happy to leave a hotel! July 26, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dated, noisy and transportation a must. The rooms are very dated, right out of the 70's. That being said, if the rooms were quiet, the dated decor would not be a factor. Forget getting any rest at all in a first floor room. The upper floors are quieter, but still noisy. The hotel advertises transportation to MDW airport. What they do not tell you is that this transportation only goes once per hour, at 40 minutes after the hour. This was not convenient for my large group and it costs us an additional $80 each way for taxis. There are newer, cleaner and comparably priced hotels, closer to MDW. The restaurant and lounge on the property are both noisy, over priced and also dated. The food is marginal but acceptable. The staff is friendly but severely limited in what they can provide given the restrictions of the facility itself, its location and its policies. July 23, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Out dated, bed uncomfortable, staff clueless Upon arrival with confirmation for two adults and two children we were given a handicap accessible room. This is not very convenient with small children that prefer a tub. Secondly the room did not contain enough towels, they knew ahead of time we had 4 persons. One lamp was not plugged in and we found an extension cord behind a bed that had broken wire. The front desk want to tape it back together, we refused and wanted maintenance to replace the cord so all appliances and lights would work. They did comply. After diner I went to get some ice. The ice bucket and lid was covered in Cheetos and or Dorito crumbs and grease. Went to front desk, received apology but they had no more ice buckets. I guess no one is smart enough at the front desk to go to an unoccupied room and grab another one, and yes, they had unoccupied rooms. Finally the same maintenance guy that brought us more towels and fixed the extension cord brought an ice bucket. Night two, maid service again shorted us on towels. Breakfast buffet, ran out of plates for a half hour, had to reuse your plate which I believe is against health code, but I may wrong. I would not recommend this hotel. July 20, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Average Hotel and Service During check-in, the desk clerks were helpful but not really friendly. We understand that check-in wasn't until 4:00. However, I was quite disappointed that an exception could not be made for my 88 year old mother who had traveled 2 1/2 hours to get to this location and was suffering from a migraine headache. She was turned away and told to come back at 4:00. Sadly, she went back out to her car and sat there until the hotel's check-in time. Our room was clean and comfortable. While the room where we stayed did not have a musty/wet smell, we did notice it in some of the rooms of other family members. We attended a wedding at this hotel. The room where the wedding was hosted was very nice. The food was good for a wedding meal. The dance floor was a very nice size and accommodated our group well. July 17, 2014
