Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by pluses and a few things that need fixing Firstly, wonderful service by staff at breakfast, who held baby while I filled plate and made a waffle for my daughter-in-law while she looked over 3 year old! construction woes: suite 241: double bed room's bathroom still has masking tape on bathroom inside handle. inside door to that room has a loose faceplate. nightlight on clock in king bed room is MUCH too bright. I did not take the time to try and figure it out. First afternoon there, pool had many leaves and bugs in it and looked like the filter system was not on. Front desk staff that day was not familiar with the area. We asked where a Wal-Mart or similar store might be and she looked it up on the internet which would have sent far away. You need a list of generic stores nearby. (grocery, drug, general, hardware, automotive, etc.) August 14, 2014

Everyone was so nice and accomodating My Granddaughter left a teddy bear in our room and when I called the hotel several days later, the staff was very cordial and helpful. The bear was found and my granddaughter is very happy!. Thanks for being so efficient! We were given one of the newly remodeled rooms, and it was very nice. We will be back. August 13, 2014

I would recommend this location to anyone with long term needs. The central location to almost everything has worked out great for us. There is so much to do in the area with easy access to the highway we have had a chance to do all of them. Downtown, the zoo, St Charles, Herman, Grafton, Alton, Soulard, and more. Sugarfire BBQ, Wonton King, Thai Kitchen, Anne Gunns, Jets pizza, are some of the great local restaurants we have tried. August 12, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing place to stay! This was our first experience with a StayBridge Suites property. The room was newly renovated. The amenities could not be matched anywhere (free hot breakfast, free dinner, free laundry, pool, fire pit, workout room)! The staff was absolutely amazing and very accommodating. We were not going to be able to make the evening dinner event and the staff offered to hold some back for us. When we arrived in our room, there were food and beverages in our refrigerator! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great stay, lousy customer service after leaving I received my credit card bill and had a $50 charge that was billed. When I called to find out what it was, I was told someone was smoking in the room. I knew this was not true and the staff told me that the manager had talked to me about this. I would not call if that were true. I was told I had to talk to the manager so left several messages for over a week. Finally had to contact credit card company to dispute the charge. When cc company called as conference call between myself and staff, I was told manager had tried to reach me 3 times but nothing registered on my missed calls and a message never left. Manager was not there and would call next day. The staff called and told me the charge would be taken off. The manager did not call or ever speak to me. When the hotel has a $200 fee for smoking in room, why was I only billed $50? This may be a way to get more money as some people may just pay it or just get frustrated waiting for the mysterious manager!!! July 15, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great service Very uncomfortable bed I stay there about 2 times a year for sales meetings since 2011. I always enjoy it. This was the worst experience, but only because of the old mattress. The mattress was very uncomfortable but......they were remodeling with new furniture. The remodel was scheduled for the first floor the week after we left. I am sure the mattresses are better. My wife stayed there during the day while I was in sales meetings. She was upset that she could only get a pop from the fountain until 5-7 pm. I know other motels that have the fountain open 24/7. July 10, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The 90s called, they want their hotel back As someone who has stayed in the hotel weekly for the past year and a half, the hotel has always just been ok. The staff always amazing but the hotel was really dated and worn out. Well, that has now changed. I was assigned one of their reassigned rooms for this week and I must say that I was impressed! All new dark wood furniture, modern and colorful couch and chairs, stainless steel appliances and electrical outlets galore (I almost shed a tear of joy)! New beds, mattresses and pillows - which caused me to oversleep! It would compare to any modern, high end hotel I would stay in. Also, the construction only happens during the day so I was never bothered by loud noises or a mess. Great job and can't wait to see the rest of the hotel get finished! June 10, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Updates Coming My experience at this hotel was OK. I really like the fact that server the hot breakfast in the morning. The front desk people were wonder, full of suggestions, and hotel even has a happy hour for guest. The hotel is also starting to renovate the rooms and they have a white board telling the guest about when the renovations is going to start and what floors are going to started first. I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the room and housekeeping. Frist, shower had hair left behind by someone else. Second, when I asked the front desk about getting it cleaned, the hair was still there that evening. Finally, I know that room stated that do light touch up on the room but the bed covers were just tossed back onto the bed, the water in the tub that did not drain naturally was not drained by the cleaning staff. Though I could have used a cleaner room, I would stay at this location again. To have a hot breakfast, social hour after work and close to my training this location worked for me. May 13, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wentzville The room was OK, but ... The bathroom was very tight. One time, I opened a towel and it had large brown spots. The TV was very hard to operate/turn-ON/surf the channels. The TV channels were many but only a few worked/were available. The TV had a very slow response time when you change channels. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY I am by no means, a germ-a-phob , but this place is dirty. My room had cobwebs where the walls meet the ceiling that covered 1/3 of the room. The walls were dirty around every light switch and in the bathroom there was finger marks where someone wiped either dark makeup, blood or something even worse on the wall. The floor has a dark patterned carpet that hides much of the dirt but when I looked closely I saw lots dirt including several toe nail clippings. SICK! My room was on the 3rd floor and my room was a nonsmoking room, but the whole 3rd floor smelled like an ash tray. The staff were very friendly but I don't think they care too much about the product they're putting out. I asked for a wake up call for 6:15 am but never received one. I won't stay here again and would recommend the same for anyone who would ask me. I did think about asking for another room, but honestly I was afraid it might be worse. November 12, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not the best experience I am a Gold Elite member, I wasn't acknowledged nor given the normal check in gift, upon arrival. The hotel by city ordinance is a No Smoking facility, there was a guest on the 3rd floor who smoked non-stop for my entire 4 night stay, the hallway, my room, & my clean clothes smelled of smoke. I overheard several other guest complaining at the front desk, yet nothing was done to stop the smoking inside the hotel. Lastly, the housekeeping service failed to provide toiletries each day, I had to go back to the front desk to request shampoo & conditioner twice during my 4 night stay. Overall the staff seemed rather disinterested in their jobs & in ensuring my stay was pleasant. I have stayed at several other Staybridges this year, a total of 21+ nights & this Staybridge just did not measure up to the overall brand. I will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express next door when I travel to St. Louis for business next spring. October 28, 2013
