We were traveling from Seattle, WA to San Diego, CA and decided to stop in Portland area. My daughter and I have stayed in the Staybridge Suites in other towns and really liked them. This one was wonderful. We have not been disappointed by any of them.

We have stayed at other Staybridge Suite Hotels and we found this one to be not even comparable. We booked two rooms and needless to say were slightly disappointed. The rooms were clean and lived up to our expectations. It was the other perks that were sub-par. The soda machine was only available during the breakfast hrs. Other Staybridge Suites it's available 24 hrs. There was no ice dispenser in the breakfast area (you had to ask the staff for ice). The breakfast was horrible. There didn't appear to be enough staff to keep things filled up. One minute there would be sausages then she would come out in a panic carrying something different from the kitchen. Don't bother serving hashbrowns. They were dehydrated potatoes straight out of the package...it was like trying to eat shaved wood. If you can't offer decent food, then don't offer it at all. Stick with what works. We had 3 mornings of breakfast during our stay. They ran out of everything. And we were arriving at 9 a.m. or earlier to eat. Regarding the facilities, there was garbage everywhere. Nobody seemed to be emptying the garbage containers outside. The key access to the patio didn't work. There was no light in the grill area. The grills only work 25%. If you don't have working grills, then don't offer them. The pool was closed half of the day on a Saturday!! and again on Sunday. We are platnum members and used our points to reserve 2 rooms. We won't be staying at this Staybridge again but will enjoy the other hotels for sure! If you want to know what a Staybridge is supposed to be like stay at the one in Mukilteo, WA. They know what they're doing!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Kae13 Comfortable bed, but, thin walls
Loved the look of this hotel, inside and out. The bed was extremely comfortable - comfy sheets and pillows. However, the hide-a-bed was very uncomfortable for our son - had to keep it in the sofa "mode" in order for him to get some sleep. Also, the walls were very thin - we could hear EVERYTHING from the other rooms around us, from talking late at night to drawers opening and closing early in the morning. Not necessarily other guests being extremely noisy, just thin walls. For this reason, I would not recommend this hotel to others; however, I MIGHT try another Staybridge Suites at a different location - perhaps a different Staybridge would be better constructed?
