A Tale of Two Towers...
Stayed at this hotel at the start and at the end of a quick trip to Florida from upstate NY. First stay on a Saturday night was in an oceanview room in the North Tower - spotless room, safe in room,

welcome reward points, awesome friendly Jeannette & Terry at the front desk who made check-in super easy. And a great customer-focused guy doing the valet parking (sorry, I forgot his name). Even a great little grill doing breakfast. All good so at check-out I make a reservation to return in 4 days. Again, Jeanette at Front Desk is super - books it seamlessly and fast. We return to this hotel a few days later, and it was a totally different experience. Now we are in the South Tower in an oceanfront room. I thought it would be better because I went from oceanview to oceanfront. Wrong: indifferent check-in guy, no welcome points or beverages, confusing "it's not my department" reply when asking about parking rules. Room is nowhere near as clean, no safe in room, refrigerator cabinet in room is broken. Yes, the view was gorgeous but I wish I had insisted on a room in the other tower. Definitely felt like North Tower was maintained and South Tower was the low rent part of the hotel. In the end, clean enough & didn't feel like packing up and moving, so we just stayed for Wed and Thurs nights. Would we stay here again? Depends on if we get the "A" team of Jeannette and Terry and the Sparkling North Tower or the "B" team and the crumbling, neglected South Tower. [Less]
