Hotel staff makes this a great place to stay

I had a group of 150 band/orchestra/choir members and chaperone attending the Disney Performing Arts workshop and performance. The hotel staff was amazing to work with. The rooms and the breakfast [More] were great. It is a bit more of a walk then we are used to. The only drawback for us was the shortage of elevators when you have that many people. With just a small family it would be not a problem. [Less]
Good family stay

We stayed 1 night for my little ones to get some rest in between going to Disneyland. Awesome stay and we all enjoyed every part of this hotel. Great staff that helped us with any problems we had [More] (only later check in problem which was solved with a room upgrade!!!!). Awesome hotel [Less]
New hotel but they have some issues

Brand new hotel so everything looks new and clean. Front desk was covered with flying ants. Staff apologized but did nothing to resolve the problem. Also heard kitchen staff make disparaging [More] remarks about the food they were serving. About a half mile walk to Downtown Disney. Super location if you plan on parking in the main Disney parking garage. It's a one minute drive from the hotel to Disney parking. I always stay at a Staybridge when visiting Anaheim, but recommend skipping this one for a few months until they have some of their issues worked out. [Less]

This review is mainly about service I observed, rather than service I received. I have no complaints on the service I received. I wanted to speak on something I observed another patron's experience. [More] While waiting in line to check-in, I overheard the desk attendant attempt to clear some issue with the couple's reservation. Apparently, like many others, the couple's reservation was book for them by a local relative. The reason it took so long for them to get checked in is because the hotel has a policy that requires the hotel to contact the party who made the reservation, and verify with them that the person(s) attempting to check-in under that reservation is, in fact, the person the reservation was booked for. In other words, the called the person who booked the room (probably an IHG member), and literally had to hear them tell the receptionist the names of the people that were there checking in. I, for one, very much appreciate this level of protection from the hotel - especially in this day of wide-spread identity theft and fraud. Thank you, IHG, for providing us with peace of mind, when it comes to this type of situation. #IHGwinning [Less]
