We chose this hotel due to its convenient location as we attended the International Motorcycle Show at the Donald Stephen's Convention Center across the street.
Overall the room was nice and the
beds were quite comfortable. I typically find it hard to sleep in a strange place (as in other than my home) and I was comfortable enough that I fell asleep easily and slept through the night (and that was with 3 other people in the room). The mattress was supportive, yet squishy, and the linens were soft and comfortable. We had a little difficulty regulating the temperature in the room, but it never got uncomfortably too warm or too cold.
Rooms are not soundproof, nor are the windows (you will hear planes taking off and landing throughout the entire day due to O'Hare airport being right nearby). You can hear other guests walking in the hallway past your guestroom. The water pressure in the shower was awesome. We all agreed that we'd love to have that kind of water pressure when showering at home.
The swimming pool was larger than you see at most hotels; however we were a bit disappointed to discover the lack of a whirlpool. Soaking in a hot tub would have been great after walking all day at the motorcycle show.
The Visibility Bar was okay, but be aware that it can be pricey. 3 mixed drinks, plus one soda cost $35.00. This hotel does not offer continental breakfast, but you can order food through room service or at the restaurant.
Hotel staff were cordial and helpful. Parking is extra, even for paying hotel guests, so keep that in mind. Guests who park there may leave and re-enter the parking lot during their stay as often as needed without paying extra. [Less]
